Dear Ms. ************* July 19, 2024, you enrolled in our program for the resolution of six accounts, totaling $14,682.00 in enrolled debt. As outlined in your contract, the account validation process may take 35 months, and negotiations do not begin until three monthly contributions have been successfully collected.
In April 2025, at your request, your negotiator provided a detailed summary of your account status. Based on that information, you chose to terminate your contract due to the timeframe involved. However, your contract specifies a 36-month period for resolution. At the time of your cancellation, you had been enrolled for only eight months.
During your time in the program, we successfully worked on 4 out of the 6 enrolled accounts. A summary of those accounts is provided below:

Capital One 4609 Paid in full

Capital One 9087 Paid in full

MCM 8645 Settlement offered; funds were unavailable at the time. (Settlement letter attached)

Syncb/Care Credit 0760 Synchrony does not issue formal settlement letters; however, a compliance email was sent to you on May 8, 2025, containing all relevant information for this account.

********************** fully complied with all contractual obligations. Unfortunately, the program was not given sufficient time to achieve full resolution of all accounts.
Please note, as stated in your contract, a $350 cancellation fee applies upon early termination. The remaining balance of $352.57 in your settlement reserve account was refunded directly to you.
Attached are the settlement letters and proof of payments related to the accounts listed above. Should you need further assistance or have any questions, please dont hesitate to contact us at ***************************************************************.

    I reject this response because:

I entered this program on July 19th. They started charging me in August, charging me a total of eight months. Each month they deducted $304.89 for a total of $2,439. I was aware of my account from the first day. I called them the first month. The second month after, I saw that it bothered them, and they blocked my phone. I realized this because I spent an entire morning calling and they didn't answer, so I started calling other family members' phones and they answered immediately.

Then, uh, they told me I had to wait three months, which were the verification months. I gave them their time. They never sent me a report of my accounts. So I started calling, I started calling from other numbers. They didn't answer my emails, they went back and forth. They never gave me a report of the accounts. They told me I had to wait eight months. After 8 months, they sent me messages stating that the money I had wasn't enough, that they needed more money, breaking the agreement we had, because by asking me for more money, they were the ones who broke the agreement in the first place. That's why I say they shouldn't charge me $350 to leave the program because by asking me for more money than we had already agreed upon, they are the ones who are missing.
I'm not refusing to pay at least the first three months, which they say are for verification, but no longer, because they never did anything for my accounts. When I applied, just as I collected them, an email saying it arrived here was on April 29th, and they paid the two bills that didn't exceed $800. It was in May, when the program had supposedly already removed me from the program. In May, they didn't process the $700 bills, and I paid them $2,439. Where is the rest of the money? Why are they charging me for the months in which they did nothing for me, if the only two bills they already paid, that offer had already been sent by the creditors.
Paying those two bills they paid. Paying them at full price doesn't exceed $1,700, and they're charging me $2,439.12. What's the logic behind this? If I finished the program in April, why didn't they return my money? Instead, they grabbed two offers that already existed for me and paid $700 to justify taking more than $1,600 from me for doing nothing. They did this outside of the contract deadlines.

    Sincerely,

    ***** ******.

I contacted this company to fix my credit , I started paying 389 dollars last July , I called once a month every month to find out how was the process and they always said that they have to validate my accounts that I owed , by November I called because I want to to cancelled and they never called me back , this was the 8 of November, by he 11 I called again and they did not answer, they left a me a voicemail to call them and I did that on Tuesday, they said that it will take 48 to 72 hours to process the cancellation, they use a company called ********** to deduct the money out of my account every month and by the 14 I decided to call them because I was supposed to be charge again the 15 and they cancelled my account and told me that Deuda cero did not process my cancellation request and they were going to refunded me what I had available form the 1556 and is 409 because Deuda cero every month took out 232 dollar from my balance , I have to mention that by today nothing has been done with my collections or my debs , I called again today to talk to the administrative office and they said they were not going to transfer my call that I have to wait until they cancelled and see what is left to refund me , and I want all my money back because they havent done anything

Dear BBB and Ms. ******** ********,

Thank you for your communication regarding Consumer Complaint #********. We take all feedback seriously and appreciate the opportunity to address the concerns raised.
On June 25, 2024, Ms. ******** contracted our services for six accounts, totaling $18,913.00 in enrolled debt. As outlined in the contract, the process of locating and validating accounts typically takes 3-5 months, and the negotiation process does not begin until three monthly drafts are made and collected.

As of the time of your request, two accountsSYNCB/PNDR 1556 and SUNTRUST 8712had already secured settlements. Unfortunately, for the remaining accounts, the negotiation process could not proceed because they had not yet been charged off. As per the terms of the contract, accounts must be at least 120 days overdue before they can be considered for negotiation. Because you chose to terminate the contract after only three months, we did not have sufficient time to settle all accounts.

That said, Debt 0 has fully complied with all contractual obligations. While the contract does stipulate a $350 termination fee upon cancellation, we will waive this fee and refund the full balance of $409.05 from your settlement reserves account.

For your reference, we have attached the settlement letters for the SYNCB/PNDR 1556 and SUNTRUST 8712 accounts. Should you need any further clarification or assistance, please dont hesitate to reach out to us at ***************************************************************.

    We are happy to assist.

Thank you for your understanding, and we remain committed to providing the best service possible.

    Respectfully,
    Debt 0 Compliance Team

To settle and reduce debts with creditors. Originally I was informed my debts were reduce automatically to 50% of the total with each creditor. Automatic payments were made beginning September 20, 2022 for the amount of USD $1,431.74 to May ******* for a total of USD $12,885.66. I was also informed I will have the ability to see how the funds were being disperse after 8 weeks from the beginning of contract. No information was available. Multiple phone calls to check status of what was promise, to hear that it was after 4 month, then to hear after 8 month. I made multiple request to speak to the manager via phone calls and e-mails. Appointment had to be requested which I did in several occasions but not once I receive a return phone call or via email with an explanation. After 9 month of paying them, I did fear something was not right and proceded to place a stop payments. I also received from Bank of America to show up at court for what I owed them for the full amount when originally they said it was reduced to 50% off total. I did contact and after many attempts, was informed they will show up to court on my behalf (documents were signed and dated as requested by them) they also mentioned they had enough funds to paid Bank of America but to this day I have no information or documentation if they did. I also asked them if they could lower my monthly payment as my intention from the very beginning was to pay the creditors. They made an offer that I was still not able to financially fulfill, but no other offer was made nor they accepted what I could, they simply ignored any further contact from my part. They waited to the end of 18 month to let me know via email April ******* that since I did not complied with contract it was terminated but they sure collected their fee USD $6,000.00 (add a few more dollars). This institution takes advantage of vulnerable consumers like myself that are willing to pay. I was taking advantage and **** unless they can proof otherwise.

Subject: Response to BBB Complaint ID: ********

    Dear BBB Representative,

In response to the above  mentioned complaint r submitted by ***************************** against Deuda Cero, ID: ********.

On August 26, 2022, **************** engaged our debt resolution services for a total of eight accounts with an enrolled debt amount of $36,354.00. We are pleased to inform you that we successfully completed payments to her DISCOVER 2562 account. Attached, you will find proof of payments for this account.

Additionally, we were in the process of paying three other accounts: Barclays 9905, BOA 7292, and BOA 9093. Ten out of 24 payments were completed for Barclays 9905, and three out of 24 payments were completed for both BOA 7292 and BOA 9093. Proof of payments for these accounts is also attached.

We had also made agreements for Citibank 6804, CHASE 5406, and ************** 5997. However, payments for these accounts could not commence due to a lack of funds. **************** was unable to restructure her financial situation, resulting in four stop payments for the months of June, July, September, and October. As stated in her contract, three consecutive stop payments result in a breach of contract, thus terminating the program.

On April 2, 2024, **************** received an email from our compliance department with all information regarding her case. Deuda Cero has fulfilled its contractual obligations.

We understand the importance of financial stability and strive to support our clients throughout their debt relief journey. If **************** requires any additional assistance or information, she is welcome to contact us at *************************************.

    Dear BBB,

Thank you for your prompt respond. Still not clear to me the total amounts paid to creditor out of the $13,000.00 and some I paid to Deuda Cero.

I continue to believe they were not transparent with me when I in multiple occasions reached out to them. Instead they ignored my desire to work with them. They waited for the end of contract (18 month) to claimed they were working on my debts to collect their fee. Very unprofessional and their way to manipulate my money to keep their fee, claiming they did their part which they did not and they did not earned. Please ask for a breakdown of payments. This institution Deuda Cero needs to be investigated. It is fraud until they proof otherwise.
    Warmest Regards.

    Dear *************************,

On August 26, 2022, you contracted our services for eight accounts, totaling $36,354.00 in enrolled debt. Attached, you will find proof of payments that have been completed for your Discover account ending in 2562.

Additionally, we have attached proof of payments for your Barclays account ending in 9905 and your two Bank of America accounts ending in 7292 and 9093. Please note that payments for these accounts were initiated but could not be completed due to insufficient funds.

Throughout the duration of your program, we have maintained communication to adjust to your financial situation. In August 2023, you requested a reduction in your monthly contributions due to financial constraints. We informed you that the balances on your three contracted legal accounts had increased due to legal fees imposed by the banks. After reviewing your case, we agreed to lower your monthly contributions for a period of six to seven months, with the understanding that the original contribution amount would need to resume thereafter to avoid the risk of losing your accounts.

On August 30, 2023, we sent you an email requesting your approval of this adjustment. Unfortunately, we did not receive a response despite multiple attempts to contact you. Consequently, your program was terminated in April 2024 due to non-payment. Please note that no funds were collected after May 2023. As outlined in your contract, three consecutive missed payments constitute a breach of contract, leading to early termination of the program.

On April 2, 2024, our compliance department sent you an email detailing the termination of your program. Please be assured that Deuda Cero has fulfilled all contractual obligations.

If you have any further questions, please contact our compliance department at *************************************

Thank you for your support in this matter.

I paid Deuda Cero from 09/20/22 to 05/22/23 the amount of $1,431.74 a total of 9 payments of $12,885.66.

Files attached of payments is as follow:

    ******* 10 payments out of 24 $1,826.00.

Bank of America 3 payments out 24 $562.50

    Total payments $3,152.50

    Total amount received from me:

$12,885.66 less total payments made by them to my creditors for the total of $3,152,60, leaving available balance to my favor of $9,733.16.

I am aware there was a service fee, however I believe they did not earned in full as they refused to work with me. After they made an offer to lower my future payments as it was still to high in order for me to fulfill, I asked them to lower even more, they responded they will have to speak to a supervisor but did not hear back from them even thought I placed multiple phone calls to follow up my request with no return answer. This behavior of Deuda Cero not returning to me was my experienced from the beginning. Not to mention all, as I explained in my comments with original complain.
It does not look clear to me. Numbers do not appear correctly.

We hired Deuda Cero ************ their debt resolution services in June 2020, which consisted of them being in charge of negotiating my debts with the credit card companies between June 2020 and September 2023. We paid them $20,000 plus service expenses $2,925 = total of $22,925 until the 09/15/23 the reason why I ended a contract with Deuda Cero is because I ended up being sued by Amex and Living Funding, my case is at Miami Dade court now almost seized my assets, after that Deuda cero tried to collect more money from me to continued handle my case I had not another choice to take a bankrupt so now before left the program, I requested a statement of expenses for know what amount is owned & was paid as per info shown at report they paid $9,124, Deuda Cero only refunded to me $3,525, & leaving open an outside remaining balance of $7,351 , which they did not want to explained to me where is my money went, I had called them several times and sent emails without any response until today not return my calls. Please I need your help with this case because I did not see it any intention by this company to resolve. after I read their contract and it says that by law they have to refund the unused money, they still owe me $7,351 without any response about it please could help me with above mentioned situation thanks

    Dear Mr. *****,
Thank you for engaging in our services on April 28, 2020, for 8 accounts with a total debt amount of $48,348.00. Our program was specifically tailored based on your debt amount, with an estimated resolution period of 60 months.

Throughout the course of your program, we diligently located and validated all accounts. Payments were successfully completed for 4 accounts bringing them to 0 balance. However, in September 2023, concerns arose regarding your CITI **** account due to a reported higher balance than anticipated. This led to a request for additional funds, but it was communicated to us that, due to financial hardships, you intended to file for bankruptcy.

On October 10th, Deuda Cero received official notification of your bankruptcy filing, necessitating the closure of your case. Consequently, all negotiation processes for your remaining accounts were halted.

Subsequently, on October 26, we dispatched an email detailing the information related to your case. As per the terms outlined in the contract, while Deuda Cero is obliged to honor the agreement and charge a fee for early termination, considering your previously stated financial hardships, your settlement reserve account was refunded to you in full for the amount of $3527.61.

Deuda Cero has fulfilled all terms and services as per the written contract.

I reject this response because: it is the same information given to you previously and they do not give details on how the remaining difference was used when, according to the contract, the monthly amount of $75 was paid separately for processing fees costs, we were made a proposal for that amount for the amount mentioned, they did reimburse $3,525 but we still need a detail of the expenses that they mention and  , which they have not yet reported, Deuda Cero always sending the same information letter without any explanation where is a remaining balance for $7,700 .they did not mention  that they were asking us to pay them $380 more monthly To continue negotiating ****'s debts (sold to Living Funding LLc ) that it's at Miami Dade Court House , it is also worth mentioning that according to the report sent by Deuda Cero on 08/31/23, only 5 accounts were paid in full, not 8 as they mention, the remaining 3 account are in the Miami Dade court, which are 2 from **************** and 1 from CitiBank (living funding (attached deuda cero report received on 08/31/2023 and 11/21/2023)) I reject this response because the information provided is not correct and does not respond to my claim nor does it clearly inform, unfortunately for me this response is not satisfactory nor is it it's clear for me.

    Dear **********************,

I hope this message finds you well.

On May 4, 2023, you engaged our debt restructuring services and agreed to the terms outlined in our contract, amounting to $8,458. As per the terms, the validation and location of contracted accounts typically require a span of 3-5 months. Additionally, the negotiation process commences after the collection of three drafts into your settlement reserve account.

During a recorded call on November 28, 2023, you requested the cancellation of your program. It was duly noted that as specified in your contract, a partial charge from Debt 0 would apply for your cancellation request. At the time of cancellation, all contracted accounts had been validated, and payments to BARCLAYS **** had already commenced. Scheduled payments for SYNCB/AMAZON **** and SYNCB/PPMC **** accounts were set to begin in December. However, owing to your early contract termination request, the negotiation process and payments to these accounts were temporarily suspended.

A refund of $295 was promptly issued to you. Our compliance department sent an email on December 6, 2023, containing comprehensive information regarding the aforementioned accounts. For any further inquiries, please do not hesitate to contact us at *************************************. We remain committed to assisting you.

    Regards,

In the date of 01/15/2021 I signed an agreement with the company ************** LLC (Deuda Cero) .In the contract we came to agreement that they would help me with my credit card debts. The contract was for approximately 60 months which I had to pay $346.51 dollars monthly which I was paying for over 30 months until the company told me I had to triple the monthly payment which I couldn't afford to pay, and they violated the contract agreement. so, me not being able to complete this new monthly payment they decided to finish the contract agreement and keep my money without give me a reason or explanation. I only request my money back.

    Dear **********************,

Jan 15 2021 you hire and agreed to our debt resolution services for a total enrolled debt amount of $28,594.00. We successfully completed all payments to your CITIBANK **** account. Please find proof of payments attached. Your debt resolution services were completed in September 2023 when your final 2 accounts, BOA **** and CBNA ****, were settled.  We communicated to you that in order to salsify payments for these 2 accounts, you would need to contribute additional funds. This happened because the actual validated amounts increased form original enrollment, something that occurs due to increase interests and penalties and clearly outlined in your contract. Unfortunately, you were not able to contribute the funds needed to pay these 2 final accounts. We provided yo the option to finalize payments on your own outside the program. Because of this, an email was sent/received to you on September 25 , 2023 with all your program details and docs.

Finally please note that you received and cashed a refund of $834.36 from your reserve account as requested .

All evidence and docs are attached.

It is unfair to complaint when we satisficed all terms and services offered in written agreement as agreed by you.

February 2022 by signed agreement, with ************** LLC but Debt Cero is my Negotiating Agent, there were 4 obligations including BOFA, Negotiating Agent made an agreement in August 2022 with the bank for 4 payments, ************** LLC breaching the last one 11/23/2022, for sending it 20 days later, this delay invalidated the agreement and the bank canceled the agreed negotiation applying the payments as payment to the debt. To date, nine months later I have a current debt with the bank . Clearly in the agreement the bank points out that if the payment is breached the agreement is lost as indicated on page 6 of the attached document, it should be clarified that of those 6 pages to me they only sent me 3 via email and the negotiating agent insists that they did not breach the agreement and I have no effective and prompt solution and my credit report is ruined

    Dear *****************************,

You contracted our services on 1/31/2022 to provide debt restructuring and resolution servies for a total debt of $5530. You requested a modification of your contract on 2/8/2022, resulting in a higher account balance, bringing her total debt to $6349.  Please be aware that this amount is subject to increase due to interest and penalties overtime, reaching $7483.90. Your debt resolution program was successfully completed on 04/07/2023. All of your accounts were validated, and relevant statements were provided to you. Evidence of accounts being satisfied and cleared through settlement payments to *********************** creditors were also included. you were notified and were fully aware that your BOA account received a notification via the ***** where we initiated, with your authorization, a request for immediate correction regarding settlement satisfaction. you received this notification during your in-person office follow-up on July 27, 2023. Please note that CFPB intervention allows BOA/creditor 30 calendar days to respond, making this an active intervention in process, and we expect any outstanding issues to be corrected by the creditor through our CFPB processing format. Your Discover account received a settlement letter as contracted. The settlement amount was transferred to you to eliminate any additional proceeding expenditures. Additionally, ******************* must fulfill the settlement satisfaction of her "Discover" account accordingly. It has been and will continue to be our pleasure to help ********************

Back in 2020, I owed money to three credit cards and was having difficulty paying back on time (I am currently 85 years old and live off a limited social security monthly payment). At that time, Deuda Cero told me they worked out a settlement agreement with all three credit cards and my monthly payment to Deuda Cero was $226.86 which I began paying in October 2020 (I have never missed a payment and this is set up as automatic withdrawal from my bank account). After almost three years of making monthly payments, Deuda Cero indicated to me in a recent statement they sent to me (I had to request it because they never sent me one before) that they have withdrawn a total of $7,259.52 to date (up to May 2023). According to Deuda Cero's records, the amount I owed in 2020 to a BOA credit card was $2,001.95 and they settled at the same amount. To date their statement shows the only payment they have made to BOA on 6/14/2023 is for a total of $101.00 (almost 3 years after I made the arrangements with Deuda Cero); the second credit card to CCB/BJS was originally at $3,788.24 and they reportedly settled it at $1,704.72. They only information provided to me by Deuda Cero on that second account is that "it's being payed" with no details as to how much, dates of payments, balance, etc. The third credit card account from Discover was never contacted by Deuda Cero and as a result, I recently received a certified letter from Discover demanding payment when all along I thought this had also been settled by Deuda Cero. Receiving this letter from Discover card is what alerted me that something was wrong with how Deuda Cero has mishandled my money. I'm demanding a refund as none of the funds withdrawn were used according to the original agreement (which they also cannot provide me a copy of!). I have included what they call an account statement (the only document they have sent to me). I honestly think my grandkids would have done a better job with the spreadsheet! You be the judge!

    Dear ***************************,

You contracted your services with us on September 25,2020. Monthly drafts were scheduled to begin as of October 28,2020. Please note that your contract stipulates that in order to begin payments to creditors, you must adhere to a savings and reserve schedule. Unfortunately  you dismissed this requirement triggering cancellation.

With that being said, your accounts were located, validated and ready for processing stipulations and payments as of February 2021. In July of 2021, your BJ's **** account was settled and a plan of 24 payments was set up to pay this account. In May of 2023, a settlement was obtained for your BOA **** account as well. In June of 2023, the last payments to your BJ'S **** AND your BOA **** account were cleared, showing the accounts as 0 balance.

As for your Discover account, ********************** has been in the negotiation process since April of 2023 trying to obtain the best discount. The account was still actively being worked on up until the client requested it be removed from his program on July 6,2023.

Because the client requested to remove the account before ********************** could fulfill our contractual obligations of settling at 50% discount or less, he was issued a refund of $1,324.05.  The consumer may use this money to obtain his own agreement with Discover and will be responsible for the payments or lack thereof.

    see Attached documents.

In summary, we have fulfilled our contractual obligations as agreed in your duly executed service agreement. We are here to help you as we have done with thousands of clients, we service all through the state and nation. It is our honor to always provide courteous, professional service to all of our clients.

    Regards,

Last year after a serious consideration of my debt situation and trying to find relief and watching a tv station ad I saw advertising by Deuda Cero, I felt for this ****************** and the Owner's false advertising. Signed up with them on June of 2022 with *********************, now I realize that for the past 7 months they have been taking my money and as of January 13, 2023 they have not negotiated any debt on my behalf. They deduct from my bank account every month $223..97 of witch they pay themselves around $110.00 every month for doing nothing. After 7 months of still the creditors contacting me I realized that Deuda Cero is a Scam and a Fraud. I started contacting them on Jan. 3rd/2023 and and Jan. 9th/2023 and spoke to an employee by the name of ********* several times and also left messages for ********************* as well. Since they don't return calls I decided to contact the company that holds the money for Deuda Cero witch is Forth, Forth was trying to return the balance to me, but Deuda Cero went in the account with no previous notice and transfer all the balance to themselves on January 17/2023 after they heard I wanted to ****** their services, this is a clear Malice. I cancelled the service with Deuda Cero around Jan 13, 2023, Deuda Cero can only show proof of starting negotiations on January 16, 2023 this is their excuse in order to keep my balance...What did they negotiate from June 2022 to January 13th, 2023?... They cannot show proof of transactions of payments to creditors from June 2022 thru January 13, 2023. UPLOADED here statements from Forth on Deuda Cero account showing that all accounts are marked as "Not Settled" and ledger showing that no payments were made to said Creditors. The statement attached only show payments to themselves, Deuda Cero.Deuda Cero has a history of Fraud and Scamming people along with the owner, *************** making false advertising on TV praying on people's downfall.
