On 12/8/22 Petro Plumbing replaced a water faucet. While removing the old faucet, they broke a chunk out of my granite countertop. A few days later I called a stone company to see if it could be fixed. I was told I would have to replace the whole countertop. They measured my counters and gave me an estimate of $3687.36 to replace all the countertops in the kitchen because it is not possible to match granite since it is cut from the same stone. I forwarded the estimate to Brian P****, who was the person who replaced the faucet. A week or so later I received a call from Petro that they would be sending someone over to see if they could match my counters and replace the one counter. I agreed. The person came in January 2023 That did not work out and after that I was dealing with his assistant Alexa who had me send her measurements and a picture of my counter and she said she was going to visit some stone contractors to see if they could match it. They were only going to pay for the counter by the sink. Since she couldn’t find a match I told them to just pay me $1800 about half of the estimate . Brian approved and I was told they would send me 2 checks of $900 the next week and $900 the week after This was first of February. I did not receive the check until 2/24/23. Check was dated 2/15/23. I was told the other check was mailed March 2, 2023. I still haven’t received it and they said it must have been lost in the mail and they would cancel and send a new one by certified mail. That was the beginning of last week and I have not received it. Today i was told Brian is out of town and he has to issue the check. He may be back Thursday. I had my kitchen repaired with my own money plus the $900 sent me in February. When talking with Alexa today I was told I was being rude when I said if I didn’t receive my money soon I would have no alternative but to go to small claims court. I do not want to pursue this legally. I just want what is owed to me.Business response
