Update 09/29/2021 Called today to speak to a patient, a minor. For one I've been calling for a week and clearly the night staff hates their job and should not be working there. Cindy and Eric were snappy and did not take well to being told they were rude. Eric answers the initial call, and I informed him that there might be something wrong with their call system and to notify an IT technician. He answered by saying that he can't do anything about it and only answers calls. Apparently taking notes and relaying them over to other people who work there is above their pay grade and not his job. Once I was able to speak with the patient, the conversation was spent with the staff stopping her call. I obviously understand that in many cases the patient may get more calls and have to cut the call short. But they should be notifying the caller and not putting more pressure on the children and cutting their call time short. I was told to speak to the pediatrics nurse station, but could not be transferred so I called again. I then spoke to Cindy to inform her that they should be notifying the callers about the patient receiving another call and having to hang up. She informed me that they notified the minor, as if a child in that facility needs more pressure for a few minute call. She rudely said that I was telling her how to do her job, so I asked for HR's number. Cindy let me know that she didn't have that information and to just call back tomorrow morning with the other staff. So basically getting me the number to HR was not part of her job description. I will be calling HR to let them know that the night staff specifically Eric and Cindy need proper training and to fix their call system. It is very clear that this facility is being run worse than a juvenile detention facility and do not care about the well being of their patients, specifically a child's well being. -- original post-- The reviews alone are horrible in this establishment. Called to speak to a patient (minor) and they are rude and insensitive. You would think that being pediatrics they would be more sympathetic towards a child and their need to be able to communicate with their family. The call alone was short and most of the time was spent trying to find the patient because the representative couldn't get simple spelling, and a small number code. Will be updating soon to let everyone know of their less than adequate service. Edit: Facility is closer to being like a prison by neglecting calls for at risk minors. You would think that for their well being they would allow children to communicate with loved ones, since this location should be "helping" them.
