I moved into land tower in September 2021. When I moved in there was many of things that were wrong with the unit, mold on the AC vents, Windows not locking properly, pest, along with other issues. Lantower did not resolve the issues in a timely manner. In fact the issues were never resolved. Being that I am a young mother living on the first floor I was scared for me and my daughter safety. I moved out 13 days later, Nita walk through the apartment and said everything looked fine and that I was getting my refund within 30 days of me moving out. It has been 40+ days and I still have not received a refund. I had called Lantower almost every day since after my 30 day mark and I either get a tone from Nita as if I am bothering her or I will get a runaround from her and other office staff about my refund check. I was told last week Thursday 10/28/21 that's my check was going to be since over the weekend for sure in again it has still not come. Lantower has not try to accommodate or compensate for the inconvenience instead I was told they will "try" to expedite the check when it has been well over the 30 day period. I am floored and livid by the dishonesty and unprofessionalism that I have received from Lantower Cypress Creek in Lutz. My next step is to take this to court because no one should be treated like this.Business response

I applied for an apartment with Lantower on July 11th. It charges you the application fee AND the administration fee. It says if your application is declined, you will receive the administration fee of $250 refunded back. My application was declined based off incorrect reporting information and the $250 was not refunded. It took me 3 days to finally get in touch via email for the property. No one would answer the phone. The manager informed me that the $250 would be mailed to me in 2-4 weeks. I am moving so obviously my current address will not be my address in 2-4 weeks. The grounds that my application was originally declined on were incorrect. I had to submit a dispute which takes 30 days. I do not have 30 days to wait for a response, I needed to find housing asap.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2021/08/09) */ Upon applicant decision the applicant opted to take action to the adverse action letter which put her application on a "hold" status as she was given the opportunity to dispute the decision with RealPage. The applicant was made aware with verbal and written communication that during her dispute stage her admin fee would continue to be held. The applicant was also made aware that should her application be fully denied she would be refunded her admin fee. The Applicant was refunded her admin fee once she was unable to overturn the final denial decision based on information she provided.
