AC contractor Ridge Energy Savers Inc provided service to our walk in freezer on 7 separate visits and 7 separate invoices. Billing us each time, and for several same procedures completed for a total of 2,234.83 of which 2019.34 was paid. Ultimately Ridge stated that unit could not be repaired and recommended complete replacement with new unit with a cost of $7500+ to remedy freezer repair. This resulted in us getting a second opinion from another AC contractor The unit was fixed on 1st visit on 8/5/2021 by: ****************************** PO BOX XXXXX Saint Petersburg FL XXXXX for $324.15 including the $24.15 part that was the problem. Ridge never once suggested the ****** evaporator probe that was the issue but invoiced us for 6 visits to get freezer working temporarily each time. Ridges 7 visits spanned from 05/13/2021 to 07/16/2021 with every visit invoiced separately. This resulted in thousands of dollars of lost food products that had to be thrown out due to thawing out. All invoices and documentation are available. Ridge Energy Savers Inc is still billing us for the remaining small balance with interest and will not work with us on any remedy. Before we proceed with litigation. Where 100% of invoices paid plus considerable losses and damages will be filed. We would like Ridge to offer and pay a refund. We have a total of 8 invoices to provide the BBB. The final invoice by another company that completed the job properly on 1st visitBusiness response

I have reached out to him again this morning and I am waiting to see when he would like to meet so we can solve this problem. Owner of Ridge Energy Savers continues to delay our refund that was discussed and promised since August numerous times. He continues to insist we meet in person and if we don't he will ignore the situation. We have emailed him and he will not reply or send refund. This BBB complaint got his attention and prompted him to reply. The owner is dishonest, crafty and untruthful. He is now suggesting he wants to meet in person again? We do not trust him as we have safety concerns. It is suspect and a ploy to continue not providing the refund that was promised. Please send us the refund as promised in the mail.There is no need to meet in person or further anymore discussions. I have asked numerous times for us to come up with an agreeable amount and he has not given me an amount. In the messages he is the grey text. There are more text but it will not allow me to add them, if there is another way to add more files please let me know. I have shown that I am more than happy to send a refund and I do not deserve to be talked to this way. If we can agree on an amount I am more than happy to send him a check. The owner of Ridge Energy Savers is still giving us the run around on providing the refund that was promised in August. He has sent $0 dollars back to us since August to remedy the situation, Our emails do not get a reply. He has ignored this situation and still sends us past due invoices plus interest for the small balance for the repair that was not accomplished. We believed he was serious to provide the full refund of monies spent with Ridge, $2019.34 for 7 invoiced visits that saw 5 different techs, charged for doubled procedures, wiring the defrost fans backwards and telling us we needed a complete new unit at $7500+ for botched repairs that he has recognized. Please send us the refund today as promised of monies spent, stop harassing us with past due invoices of $191.53 plus interest and stop the delay in making us whole. Business Response /* (4000, 24, 2021/12/16) */ The consumer wanted to deal with this through BBB, so there is no run around, the consumer has been the one that has delayed the process as shown with the text messages. We have not agreed on an amount at any point in time, there were repairs that were done that were needed as such a full refund is not an option our end. I am willing to offer half the amount invoiced which I think is more than fair because once again there were other repairs that were needed. Several of the invoices he is referring to also had no charge or reduced charges which we can provide as well. Once again I am happy to work with him, but the delays are on his end. Please review the text messages. If he accept the offer of half I will send a check as soon as I am made aware of the answer. We had to "deal with this" through the BBB because owner has not sent promised refund since August, has not not replied to our email or called us and continues to send statements for small balance with interest In addition, The second opinion and successful contractor found on 1st visit that Ridge wired evaporator fans incorrectly. (Resulting in fans running during the defrost cycle. Causing unit to continually freeze up and needing further invoiced visits from Ridge. Was this done on purpose? There were not "several" invoices that were not charged as our provided invoices dictate. There was one with no price but a note stating "Maybe send someone else back that doesn't own a H-10 detector"? Unit was not repaired on this visit? This invoice was uploaded for viewing. Owner of Ridge has never offered an apology and has never been "Happy" to help. He continues to find excuses and blame us? We worked with Ridge over a 2 month span service calls, believed everything they said and paid every invoice as they arrived. Changing your mind now and offering half a refund is unacceptable. We had to pay another contractor to fix your errors and ultimately find that a $24.15 probe was always the problem. We lost several hundreds of dollars of spoiled food products during this ordeal and had to pay another contractor to properly repair.Ridge wanted us to replace entire unit, reached out to several distributors, had us partially agreeing to order and quoted us $7500+ to replace? They wanted us to pay for unit up front? The owner of Ridge is displaying what we have been dealing with for 5 months. He is very crafty with his messages but does not act? Please send us the full monies spent with Ridge as promised since August and stop sending us statements with interest. No delays! Litigation will include second contractors fees and damages. Consumer Response /* (2000, 35, 2022/01/21) */ After 6 months, Jason did honor his word and returned $2100 to us for the botched repair. We do thank him for this and wish this situation could have been worked out easier and less stressful. Ridge does have some very good, processional and kind techs on their team. We understand mistakes happen at times but should be corrected in a more timely manner without additional costs. Original review below for reference: Jason the owner does not honor warrantied work. Ridge will invoice you for every visit without fixing the issue. after 2 months and 7 visits from Ridge, We had to hire another contractor to complete the work and they found it was a $25 part and defrost fans, that Ridge replaced were wired incorrectly causing defrost issues. We called Ridge numerous times for ice build up on coils and they charged us each time. No warranty was every granted on their work. Ridge Energy wanted us to replace whole unit at $7500+ and pay up front for it. We paid Ridge over $2100 and they never repaired unit. No monies were returned or warranty honored.
