      The date of the service was June 16th 2022. The service that needed completion was sod installation. Pictures attached the poor job that was done. After 1 day the grass was already turning brown. He never removed all the old and dying grass. He instead just lay the sod on top of the old grass. Pieces of the sod were never cut out along landscaping and curb area. Areas also were never cut out in some areas for the sprinkler to pop out of the "grass". I have tried to resolve with him via refund or new job for a correct installation but he said he would not do it. I have all the text messages and pictures to prove he did a horrible job. There are even parts of sod in which he threw into my neighbors lot line by 3ft. I had paid him via check ($500) and Cash ($300) totaling $800.

      Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/07/06) */ In response to Mr.****** complaint, he needed a quick patchwork job completed at his residence for pictures that were to be taken asap to put his house on the market. He reached out to me and said his prior company had backed out due to personal reasons so I told him when my next availability was to do the job and he obliged. Upon getting to the residence he told me his yard had been sodded more than once in quite recent times. After further review I explained to him that he had chinch bugs and that no matter what the new grass would die as well if the chinch bugs were not treated. His response was hopefully the house sells before that happens. After installation of the new grass I knocked on the door to show Mr.****** the completed project which he said looks great and now he can get the pictures done. I offered to set his sprinklers for him to ensure the new grass gets the water it needs to root but he declined and said he would do it himself. At the point the new grass was completely in his hands as I don't offer any type of warranty on grass if it's not watered correctly. I didn't accept payment only until after mr.****** came out and approved of the work Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/07/12) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) In response to Clean Cuts Lawn Care And Pressure Washing LLC there is some unfactual information that he speaks of. Yes I asked him to do the work, yes I was in a time crunch. That being said, we did have some treatments done prior to his arrival for chinch bugs and after. The service and treatment was done by TRUGreen and extremely reputable company. There was also pieces of our lawn that did replaced by another company which are doing just fine and growing well, just the pieces that this company installed improperly. He has also stated in our text messages that it was a watering issue and now lying that it is a chinch bug issue. Also there is no way the sod would be able to be "destroyed" in less than 24 hours. That is because once again is was not placed on dirt hence improper installation. Yes the owner did knock on my door and I looked around for a brief second as I had the check and cash in my hand when I just got of the shower. I tried to resolve this will him asking for him to come back to do reinstall and make sure it was properly done. But this was not the case he (owner of Clean Cuts Lawn Care And Pressure Washing LLC) refused to do so and told me goodluck. Business Response /* (4000, 11, 2022/08/03) */ I told Mr.****** I would redo the sod if he wanted to purchase it and have it delivered. He refused. I also explained to him that if he didn't let me set the sprinklers the sod is completely in his hands, which he explained that he takes care of it in an app through his phone. Before he paid me I had him check the yard and make sure everything was ok which he did and then paid. Not really sure why I would pay for rework to be done when it was done improperly the first time. Especially by the same exact person that didn't install it properly the first time. I have the rainbird system set up on my phone for easy use and gets watered properly like I said repeatedly again. You have admitted in this conversation that it wasn't installed properly and continue to try and fight this situation. Just own up as a responsible business owner and refund our $800.
