Never use this company!! They charged us 2x the rate they quoted, they hired an outside mover ***** Boys moving in ****** and they did $2000 in damages to our rental apt and they lied on the pone when they explained how to do a claim. They are horrible especially ************************* which is probably not her real name--awful company!! I would give them both 0 stars!!

Modest Moving out of ************ ******* is a scam moving company associated with Signature *** Lines operating out of *********************. The game is to quote you a competitive price up front, then double it on the day of the move once the movers show up. Movers are unprofessional thugs who throw furniture in/out of trucks and stack it every which way. Pay 50% upfront and 50% at delivery. Company is not up front about when delivery will occur and does not provide tracking. Movers operate outside of regular business hours when the office is closed, so you are not able to contact support. Articles are not appropriately tagged/bill of laden looks like a 5 year old wrote it. DO NOT FALL FOR THE *****

They are a broker and contract out to other lousy companies. They give low ball estimate and when brokered company All Moving Services LLC showed up to move us they said price was 2.5 times MORE! Plus they showed up on day of move at 5:30 PM. Truck was not big enough. We Had to wait 2 days for second truck. They knocked over mailbox. Put 3 holes in walls and 3 ft scratch in hardwood floor. Moving from Michigan to Georgia and had to have stuff stored till home completed. Called 11/12 to ask for delivery 11/29. They said then it could be 2-3 days later. I called today and stuff is still not loaded on truck and they say it could be another week. Horrible costly lousy company and service. Do not use them. I’ve called trying to get a manager to help and nothing. We will have to file claim for all the damages to our former home.

Do not hire these people they are dishonest from the getgo. First they said I could use my credit card for the entire move.last minute they doubled my estimate and wanted cash. I had to scramble to borrow the money. Told me it would take 5 days. This delivery was to be 2 stops one in ** and second in ***** which I paid extra for. They finally got to ** on September 30. Said they couldn't get their truck down the driveway. After much discussion it was decided they would take the whole shipment to ***** but after I paid cash for the balance. When the truck got to ***** it only had the ** stuff on it not one piece for *****. 2/3rds of my stuff was missing. The driver called the dispatcher he didn't know anything about it.when I called him he wouldn't answer the phone. I called modest movers the next day and everyday after. They said it was lost. After about two weeks they said they found it and it would be on the next truck out. That was two weeks ago. They said they couldn't get a hold of me but I talked to ****** the dispatcher twice since then he couldn't give me a delivery date. Finally he said it would be in ***** last Wednesday. No-show now he won't answer the phone. I had to hire a truck to bring my stuff back from ***** to ** they got down the driveway with no trouble. There is also a clause in the contract after 30 day they have to pay me $30.00 a day until my stuff is delivered. They picked up on August 31, 30 days was up on Sept 30. It's now nov 2nd. I am out $7900. Moving cost the cost of the truck to bring my stuff from ***** to **. $30.00 a day late fee until my stuff arrives also it's now cold up north and I had packed for 5 summer days so I have been buying warm close all my stuff is on that truck. What is my options now call the state attorney office?

The most dishonest despicable group of liars Satan has ever put together. The silver tongued spawn of the devil sales representative could really shovel it. Every review on here is absolutely true. Modest Movers are pimps, they say they are family owned movers but the only thing they move is your money from you to themselves. One lie after another the government should look into a RICO **** against them. They really are an organized crime outfit .Seriously, stay away from these thieving creeps they will ruin everything for you. I'm just so angry but a ****** learned should have looked them up on BBB.

In September, I sought a Florida company for a point-to-point move from Boardman, Ohio to Ormond Beach, Florida. I searched the internet for a family owned company and soon linked with MODEST MOVING LLC, 713 NE Dixie Highway, Jensen Beach, FL 34957. ****** took my inventory and gave me a binding estimate after many, many discounts of $6,458.11 and told me that was inclusive of everything. He let me make the downpayment on my American Express card and he made some promises: “OUR TRUCK Q17, OUR MEN 4 guys” “Guarantee FULL SATISFACTION or free” I was to pay $1,280 in cash when they picked my items up and $1,280 in cash on delivery. We were to be picked up on Saturday, Oct. 1. However they called on Friday Sept. 30 and told me because of Hurricane Ian they would pick me up on Sunday, Oct. 2. On Oct. 1, ****** called to confirm the pickup and to double check my pickup and delivery payments. To my horror, they were now TRIPLE the quote and instead of $1,280 (which she had confirmed 24 hours earlier on the previous call) they were now in excess of $4,000 for an additional total of not $2,560 but $8,000! I was outraged. She spoke to her “manager” and it turns out, there was a “mistake” on the “binding estimate” and the "$2.00 per cf” was supposed to be closer to $4! I pushed back and we settled on $2,780 at each site and I figured I would dispute this scam later via American Express. However, the movers who arrived were NOT from Jensen Beach, Florida. They were from New Jersey. And this moving company confirmed that Modest Moving was a broker preying on gullible people like me. AND had grossly miscalculated the weight. So NOW the move was going to cost NOT $6,600 or $8,800 but in excess of $13,000!! And the delivery was nowhere near the quoted target of Wednesday, Oct. 5. Instead, a rude man and his son arrived at our new home on Sunday, Oct. 9 and essentially dumped all of our items into the middle of our house. It was completely horrific.

One star, only because 0 isn't an option. The move from H*** Estimate was doubled, fees undisclosed, furniture lost! Additional fee of $1500 (negotiated down from $3600) to go straight through from pickup to delivery, even though that was always the understanding. Straight through from Point A to Point ** Goods are held hostage until every ***** is paid. No discounts during the process; you have to file a claim for a refund after. Cash or postal money order is the only form of payment at delivery. Postal money orders are a process to obtain, have a maximum limit of one thousand dollars, and a fee for each one, so it costs more!! NEVER use an online broker to arrange a move, especially Modest Moving LLC.

THE NEXT *** THEY CALLED AND TRIED TO DOUBLE THE ****** I SAID NO, SO THEY SAID THEY COULDN'T PICK UP THE 3RD, BUT THEY COULD THE 9TH. THEN THE 8TH I GOT A TEXT SAYING THE ***** WOULD BE AT MY STORAGE LOCKER THE 10TH BETWEEN 6 AND 8. NO ONE CALLED, NO ONE SHOWED AS I WAITED OUTSIDE IN 90 DEGREE HEAT.THESE PEOPLE WERE IN BREACH OF CONTRACT THE *** THEY TRIED TO DOUBLE THE ***** ON **** WOULD NOT ONLY LIKE MY 700 DOLLAR DEPOSIT BACK WHICH I'VE NOT YET RECEIVED BUT THEY OWE ME AN EXTRA $1000 FOR MAKING ME PAY HOTELS FOR AN EXTRA WEEK WAITING FOR THE.DO NO USE THESE PEOPLE. Do not use this service. The company is predatory and horrible. I contracted Modest Movers for a long distance move across several states, about **** miles. I had already reserved a ***** cube for about $3500, when someone from Modest Movers called and gave me a quote for $2500 for a full service move and I thought it was too good to be true. Well. It was. At the time I thought this was a great deal, and seeing really good reviews online, I decided to cancel the ***** reservation and book with Modest Movers. Big mistake. The first thing to know, this company does not do any of the moving. They contract out the service to other, actual moving companies. And the companies they contract with do not necessarily have the same timeline, fees, or policies as Modest Movers states in their contract. The information I got from talking to Modest Movers personnel was different from the information I got from the contracted company. Additionally, Modest Movers, once the stuff was picked up, had no idea where my stuff was and could not give me any updates. I called at least 3 times to find out more information, and each time I was told by the representative that they did not know where the truck was or where my stuff was, dispatch didn't know either, and that they would "send it up to a supervisor who would give me a call back." I never got a call back. Then there was the lack of transparency about all the parts of the move that really matter--time between pick up and delivery, accuracy of the estimate, and how to pay. I was told verbally when I booked that it would take about 7 days for the truck to arrive with my things, from the day it was picked up. After a week an a half of waiting at my new address, I called and was told, no, the policy is actually 21 business days, but that it RARELY takes so long. Then, when I finally got in contact with the actual company moving my things, I was told it was 21 days from the earliest available drop off date, not the pick up date. So
