On July 14, 2023, we contracted with Ox of South Florida (Ox) to install polyaspartic flooring on our pool deck. Before we signed the contract we explained to our salesman ****, that everything around the pool area was new (the aluminum cage, Florida glass, paint on the house, including the pool tile work and grout, etc.) and we did not want anything damaged. **** assured us that they are the best of the best and this should be of no concern. He promised us that everything would be protected. He also stated that only the best and most experienced employees do the pool deck projects.Oxs first attempt, on November 6, 2023, to apply their product was so bad that there were gaps between their product and the cap tiles; Ox product was on the cap tiles and in the grout; the sheen and texture were uneven; there was a distinct line where the color was different, and damage was done to the aluminum cage; Florida glass and freshly painted building. The result did not even meet the expectations of Ox employees, *************************** and *************************. We were promised that it would be taken care of. After three additional attempts over the last four months to finish the job correctly, we still have uneven sheen and texture; gaps between the Ox product and the pool cap tiles; and damage to our property that has not yet been repaired.We agreed to pay Ox $9,693.00 to install a polyaspartic floor coating (approx. $22.00 sq/ft). We owe them $969.30 per the contract when the installation is complete. We have estimates and receipts for the damage caused by Ox. Those items total $1,570.93. For the past three weeks, we have asked several times to speak with the owner to get this resolved.We paid a premium price for this floor coating compared to Oxs competitors. We therefore expected a premium level of service and finished product.A detailed timeline, explanation and pictures are attached.
