On August 30,2012 i purchased a ******** ***** ******* ****** under a 10 year warranty, serial #********, on September 10,2021 the system malfunctioned,i called CGC ******** ***** ******* CGC Water Treatment **** ** ***** ***** ** ** ************* ** ***** ***** ********. The service provider came out and replaced the tank that is supposingly still under warranty. I had to get the new tank financed at a cost of $811.00Business response

Tell us why here...
Our records indicate that the equipment in question was repaired. The softener (which is the piece of equipment with the warranty in question) suffered damage do to chlorine. ******** does not warranty the system against that damage if there is nothing in place to remove it. The charge was for an additional piece of equipment (dechlorinator) to prevent similar damage in the future. The new equipment was also sold at a discounted price.
Please let me know if there is any further explanation needed.

I am rejecting this response because: Chorine is a standard chemical used in all public utility systems as we all know in an effort to minimise the exposure of germs and bacteria, the use of cholorine is unavoidable, keeping this in-mind,why market and sell ***** ******* ******s to the general public that will not stand up to the chorine in common systems? This was not revealed to me upon purchase, my system should be covered by the warranty,the system should have been build to support the use of chorine , therefere this system is substandard and does not support the need of the consumer.
