We were required to replace the shingle roof on our home, and received four quotes from contractors in *************/*****************. Every contractor was courteous and knowledgeable and the quote amounts ranged widely. ************************* represented Champion Roofing very well, providing insight to the process required to secure homes against ********* weather, as well as answering the inevitable follow-up questions. ***** was available onsite, during the removal and installation of the roof, to follow-up on any concerns we had and make our "new roof" experience a happy time. The work was done industriously, efficiently and courteously by a solid core group of craftsman augmented by additional ground crew, to facilitate the waste removal. ******, the lead man on the crew, was diligent in his communication with me regarding vehicle and equipment placement, and any City or neighborhood construction restrictions that *** have applied. There is a true sense of pride, throughout the crew, in a job done well that completely satisfies the expectations of the homeowner. Prior to the work, *****, the owner, and ************************* made all the final critical measurements for the job. ***** regularly visited the job site, during the 8 days of work. After the last s**** was driven and the work area completely cleared of debris, ***** arrived to do the final inspection of the job. The craftsmanship is brilliant and we have received positive comments from our neighbors and strangers passing by, on the way to ******************* Park and the Dog Park.

Really liked the men on the job. Clean up was not as good as it should have been. I know things happen but no call back on my plants that were damaged but that is on *****. Called and actually stopped by the office but not even a call back to me. Four cones still by the mail box.

Champion Roofing replaced the roof on our house a couple of months before we purchased it and included a long-term warranty. Our home inspector noticed that water was pooling on part of the roof and suggested that the warranty should cover improper installation leading to water retention.Shortly after completing the sale, we reached out to Champion to register the warranty. **** confirmed that this would be no problem, and she would start working on the paperwork. We mentioned the pooling water, and she told us that her boss (*****, the owner) was out of town. He would get back to us upon his return. A week later, we had heard nothing about either the water or the warranty. This began two months of getting the run around. We would call, be told that the warranty was in process and ***** would reach out shortly, and then nothing would happen.This week, a branch fell on our roof, puncturing it in two places. Obviously, the warranty doesnt cover that, but we asked if Champion could repair the damage. After a few phone calls, ***** finally visited our home for the first time. I suppose he saw an opportunity to get paid again. He quoted a price for the puncture repair, and we asked him about the pooling water. His **** and rather rude response was, Thats normal. Its a flat roof. What do you expect?I pointed at the even flatter carport roof that the same team installed right next to the pooling water and said, That roof is also flat, but it doesnt hold water. I told ***** that his response was not acceptable. He described what he thought he could do, but said, It wont fix the problem. He then sent us a proposal costing an additional $500, knowing that by his own admission it would probably be insufficient.We hold that a properly installed roof shouldnt retain pools of standing water for more than ************************************************************************** their work when they arise. You can clearly see a dip between the edge and the center of that section of roof. Contrary to Chriss claim, it isnt a flat roof. Due to Champions bad installation, it is a dipping roof.Additionally, when installing the carport roof, the crew did not take care to align their nails to the trusses, so there are long roofing nails poking through the underside of the ceiling in multiple locations. Its quite ugly. To resolve the punctures made by the fallen branch, we hired a different company that came to fix the damage within a few hours (after a single phone call), and they charged us less than half of what ***** quoted us.Clearly, the roof was not installed properly, and we are quite disappointed that Champion refuses to address their mistakes. Other homeowners should beware especially if your home doesnt have a steep roof, if you care about what the finished product looks like, or if you value prompt and courteous customer service.
