Heth Realty is the most unscrupulous company I have ever encountered. I could list at least 20 complaints/infractions but will describe the most recent one instead. I paid my rent through their newly implemented portal. I checked daily to see if the charge had gone through and after three days when it hadn't, I logged in again. It stated that my rent was overdue and that I now owed an additional $179 in late fees so I chose to do the right thing and make the payment. When the mistake was brought to my attention, ****** "bookkeeper," advised ****** to refund the first amount which was correct rather than the second which included the $179 late fee.If you have other options, steer clear of Heth Realty. They have the lowest ****** review - 1.5 stars - that I have ever seen.

With the new lease that was signed 9/1/22 signed by ********************* stated that there would be a new fee $30 for payments made at the office. She submitted a check at the office for payment and the bookkeeper notified her of the new $30 fee and so she decided to pay on line. The bookkeeper told her if she paid the same day there would be no additional fees. However she paid the following day on our 3rd party vendor and some how she paid it twice. the first payment did not include the late fee but the second payment did. Since we do not accept partial payment the bookkeeper had the 3rd parts reverse the first payment.We must follow the lease terms for every tenant to stay in compliance with Fair Housing Rules and if we waive for one we have to waive for all.She has been a long term tenant and takes very good care of her apartment.That does not change the terms of her lease.I feel bad for the late fee penalty buy she tried to avoid a $30 fee that cost her a lot more.I would attach a copy of her lease but do not see where I can do that.Let me know if you need anything else to solve this issue.Thanks for your time,***************************
