Date of visit: 01/19/2022 Payment Amount: $174.00 This doctor's has been dishonest and shady from day one. They said they took my insurance over the phone, I verified with them and my primary care verified with them before putting in a referral request to my insurance company. Once the referral was approved, they called me to schedule the appt and when I showed they claimed they didn't take it. Staff said they called me twice 2 days before my appt and received a message stating "not valid". What's not valid??? Never heard a cell phone say that. More of "no service" or a busy signal. No attempt to call me again the day before my appt or the morning of my appt to tell me they cant take my insurance. Keep in mind they called me at the same # to schedule the appt and nothing was wrong with my number/phone. Ended up paying out of pocket at the higher rate for the consultation. I filed it with my insurance company and they only refunded me $110 because the doctor was an in-network doctor and was only allowed to bill at the agreed contracted price of $110. A couple of weeks later I received notice from my insurance. I called them and they said the doctors office is trying to file against my insurance for payment. They have tried more than once because I keep getting the notices. Requesting a refund for $64 where they overcharged me and for them to stop trying to bill against my insurance. That's fraud!
