      I had ** issue and called MCGowans and then went a technician next day. The technician looked at the problem and found faulty motor and checked warranty on the unit and went and changed it. While leaving he also mentioned that the Evap coil is dirty and needs to be cleaned but it is not urgent. After he left we found that the ** is not functioning as expected. I called up MCGowans to report and they said they will charge $109 for a technician to come in and check the problem and the lady in customer service was already diagnosing that the evap coil and I need yo get that cleaned paying about $1300. They are just minting money without even worrying about customer satisfaction for an issue they should take full responsibility for after they repaired. Moreover when I said I will complain the customer service person hung up on me and asked me to file a complaint. This company knows ways to extract money from customers and doesnt care about the quality of service. I want my money yo be refunded and want to get the annual plan cancelled.

      ********* went out on a no cool call on 4/6/2023. After performing diagnostics, it was found the system was low on refrigerant. The service technician performed a leak search and found that the evaporator coil was leaking. Technician quoted the price for coil replacement with a parts warranty. On 4/12/2023 ********* went back out to customer's home, free of charge, to add refrigerant so the house would cool due to the part having to come in from out of town. ********* received the parts on 4/13/2023 from the manufacturer and installed the coil and TXV on 4/14/2023.I am not sure how the company can conclude that the wrong part was replaced. Afterall, a leak search was performed, which resulted in the finding of a leaking coil. The original problem of a leaking coil was fixed. Another issue *** have come along. We quoted the service call for being normal but if the diagnostic has anything to do with the previous service call, we are amenable to waiving any diagnostic fee.I will be more than happy to provide any additional information needed regarding service done at ****************

      Unbelievably bad way to run a business. New system replacement, after their original system failure, took months to complete due to back-order which also subsequently failed and caused a leak from my 2nd floor to 1st floor. Ceiling is saturated. One technician came by and used glue and silicon as a temporary fix for the ** switch and said someone would replace my drywall. System has now blown completely ($6,000 new system) and it is 90 degrees in **. We were promised today that a portable ** would be installed temporarily. Unit was dropped off but no installation. I have personally left messages for the operations manager, ****, to return my call and discuss the broken, brand new system and damage to my home over the last week and a half. Have never been contacted. My insurance company will be engaged for the damage but a working ** in a townhome built just 8 years ago is not a big ask. This is unacceptable and I am baffled this company is still in business.

      A CAUTIONARY TALE In 2014 my wife and I purchased a residence at the *************** Community, ***********. Many of the 5 or 6 property models were cookie cutter type with similar Lennox HVAC systems installed by McGowans. We felt it was appropriate to maintain the new system with the installer.In 2015 I was sold a ten year (actual nine year)* extended warranty by ********* which we thought would be a great safety cushion and protest our investment..I never received a copy of this document after several requests. During a recent servicing neither the tech or main office was able to find a record of this agreement. I had to call and give them the date and year of the almost $900.00 + payment for the warranty. At the time of recent service there was a recommendation for blower part replacement which according to the main office would not be covered under the warranty that was scheduled to expire January 31, 2023!. Once the warranty documentation was found I requested they look at previous servicing to see if anything was covered under the original warranty. I was told NO that the blower and previous parts were considered add ons. So, unfortunately, nothing was covered during the extended warranty!!!!!!The system has been subsequently removed and replaced as we will do business with a new company.*January 13 install-February 23
