It seems like most of the reviewers below have had a very unfortunate experience at the hospital and I am sorry to hear that. On the 5 occasions we've had to take 3 of our 4 dogs for emergency care the have done an outstanding work. Yes, LeadER is expensive, but I believe that is because they have a very large staff and have invested considerable money to have the best equipment available for pet care and emergencies. When other animal hospitals are closed (even when say the offer 24/7 care), they always open with 1 or more DMVs on staff. As far as having to wait longer that one might want to, I believe that can be attributed to the fact that it is one of the few animal hospitals that offer real emergency service.Review from Alyx Z

The worst experience at a veterinary establishment I've ever had. Brought my cat in for a non-serious issue, spent $4,000 for him to stay for 48 hours, and when I took him home he could barely even stand. I had to make the heart wrenching decision to put him down 24 hours after I brought him home. They don't care about your pet- just your money. Beware.Review from kiyoshi` p

worse animal hospital. only care about the money and not to help the pet. pay 155 just to have my cat sit inside his cage and not get looked at or get IV fluids he needs. this type of business needs to be reported. the vet world needs to change and actually do their jobs.Review from Marine S

If you love your pet, do not bring them there! Please believe the bad reviews. These people should NOT BE IN THIS BUSINESS. The lack of care, empathy and even respect is outrageous. They are more interested in taking your money than saving your pets life!!I brought my dog there, who was diagnosed with liver failure, and they made us wait 5h to get a consult and xray. Meanwhile my sick dog was sitting in the cage in the back without getting proper care! They then brought us a 6K bill for a 48h hospitalization, and billing us for the same exams he had already done at the vet an hour prior. When we asked about the reason why we would have to do these tests again the nurse simply shh us. She was condescending, did not show any type of care of compassion, and straight up rude and disrespectful. After getting some more results they advised us to put my dog down if we didnt want to spend another 3k for his overnight hospitalization, knowing that his chances of survival were really against the odds. When we came back, we had more questions about palliative care but they simply told us that the doctor had changed and she didnt know our dogs case nor did have the time to look it over so that she could answer our LIFE OR DEATH questions. We were told that if we wanted to talk to the new doctor we would have to wait a few more hours. Mind you, they had charged us 1K for xray and IV.How can this even be happening??!! Im at loss for words. These people clearly only care about the money. I understand this is a business but how can they behave like this when they know bringing a terminally ill pet to their facility is the most painful and heartbreaking situation to be in?They made every single thing a lot harder than it should have been.If your pet needs an emergency room, please dont bring him there. The ** on biscayne bd treated us with so much care and respect, and we should expect nothing else when having to bring our pet to the **Review from Ty D

I dont even want to give this place one star!!! Worst experience ever the vet came in for literally 1 minute looked at the stray cat my friend brought in. Told her it was a tumor. When she tried to see how much it was going to cost to board the cat for 1 night they tried to charge us $3000. When we asked/demanded to speak to the vet. The people working there refused to get the vet. When we tried to call up there and pay the $155 for the original fee. So we could take the cat to a different hospital. We asked how did they get $3000 for one night stay. They hung up on us multiple times. And just sent us a link to pay that looks like a straight up scam that they steal your card info. Once we refused to use the payment link they tried to with hold the cat from us because they wouldnt take payment nor let any of us speak to the vet. Long story short these people do not care about animals they just want to take advantage of people who try to save hitting animals. This place should be closed and the vet should have there licenses revokedReview from Betty L

My ShiTzu had a medical emergency and our vet told us she needed emergency surgery. She recomended we take her to LeadEr.We immediately rushed there terrified about what we would face. The minute we got there the staff made us feel right at home and assured us that everything would be fine.It made all the difference in the world! The manager Renee was extremely kind, understanding, and just fantastic!! Then Dr.Brian D**** came and explained what the surgery consisted of,what needed to be done and answered all our questions and concerns taking his time and made us feel our baby was in good hands. We had to leave our baby Sophia there since the surgery would take place later that afternoon and she would have to stay overnight. They called us and texted a picture of Sophie when the surgery was going to start, they called after the surgery to let us know that everything had gone fine, they again called me to let me know she was alert, was drinking water and eating a bit.The next morning they called again to let me know she continued to do well and that we could pick her up that afternoon. When we picked her up they gave us the meds she would have to take ,explained how to give them to her and were super sweet and caring.Next morning they called again to ask how she was doing, and again the next day to check up on her.In this day and age it was refreshing to see such exellent service and caring ! they felt like family and we highly recommend them.If you have an emergency with your furry baby don't hesitate to take them to LeadEr I can assure you they will be in the best of hands !!!!Thank you LeadEr for all your kindness and care!!Review from Rosalba M

What an awful experience today,**** to pick up my dog, after waiting 40 minutes to be discharged, my puppys bed was taking him by one of the staff. The manager feedback was that they are not responsible for personal items being lost at their facility. I could not believe those were the words coming out of some who is a professional. Do you training your staff to steal your patients belonging? This is property theft. Also the cost of their service was beyond any prices I have ever seen. Would be filing a police report for property theft.Review from GE B

Read these comments below....as of today, Leaders business model has not changed.......they are still not communicating. I sat in the ** for 6 hours with a dog that needed IV antibiotics. They took my dog, sedated her, didn't treat her with the antibiotics they said she needed, and when I pulled her started telling me she needed treatment. I hadn't seen the Dr, and didn't see too many nurses. I pulled her got her into another e clinic. she was treated and out the next day. Wouldn't take my worst enemy's dog thereReview from Chris T

The facility is completely negligent and are cruel to animals. My dog ate spoiled fish she found in the trash. She had been vomiting so I took her to their emergency that night. She was able to walk and was very coherent. The body's natural remedy is to vomit and remove the spoiled food in the stomach. Their ER immediately gave her Cerenia (anti-vomit med) and other drugs without proper diagnostic testing, basically pumping her with unnecessary drugs.Eight hours later, I returned to LeadER to check on her, she looked a MILLION times worse than when I dropped her off. She was incoherent and could not walk. She appeared to be dying. They wanted to hospitalize and I refused. I took her home. When she was home, she rested and the next day, she threw up the spoiled fish in her belly. Had she stayed at LeadER, she probably would have died from the excessive prescription drugs and trash still in her belly.Review from Shirley D
