I have an invoice from 12-10-2020 showing we paid almost $600 to order a hot tub part and have our hot tub repaired. We were told the part would take about 6 weeks to arrive. Then we were told there were delays related to COVID. Then the business owner stopped answering our calls and emails. I want my money back.Initial Complaint

Hired ***** (*****) ******* from Miami pool and spa to repair our above ground hot tub. He came to our house with his wife once and told us that our spa needed a new heating element. He asked for the money upfront so that he could pay for the heating element. We wrote him a check to his name which is what he requested on April 20, 2021 for $889.36. Check was cashed on May 4. I texted with him several times to inquire as to the progress. Each time he gave me an excuse e.g. they sent the wrong heater, heater was coming in the next shipment, my wife has health issues, I'm going on vacation, etc. This took place beginning May 9 and continued through July 9. Very often there was no response to the texts, he never came to install the heater which obviously never arrived. I left voicemails with numerous messages and the man has just disappeared. No heater no money. I found him through yelp. I went on his so-called website and there is no longer any website in existence.Initial Complaint

Pete came to my house on June 6 to look at my hottub and said I needed a new pump and he's have to order one. I paid him for it that day through a zelle payment to him. The last correspondence I had from him was a text on June 21 stating he would call me later that night for the status of the hottub pump. I have heard nothing since from him. I've called and left voicemails and texted and no response whatsoever on either phone number from him.
