I purchased a new AC unit from United States Solution which also covers a 15 year service and repair warranty. They have continuously disregarded my calls for service.Business Response

We had air conditioning units installed in our home nearly 5 years ago by this company, and they have never worked properly since the installation. Within days of the initial installation, we experienced issues with the units not cooling effectively. Despite spending almost $22,000 on these products, United States Solutions LLC has failed to provide any long-term solutions or meaningful assistance.Every time we call, the customer service representatives claim they do not know what to tell us or offer explanations that do not align with the actual issues. On multiple occasions, their technicians have stated that the units were not installed properly, which is causing the ongoing problems. However, customer service representatives frequently contradict this, insisting that the units simply need to be cleaned out. Its unreasonable for a brand new AC system to require cleaning within days of installation.On July 22, we paid a $300 fee, as instructed by customer service worker Astride, for technicians to come out and assess the issue again. Despite this payment, nothing was resolved, and we were refused a refund. Additionally, Mr. **** promised to provide documentation from each technicians visit and our complaints but later refused, claiming it was too much paperwork.For nearly 5 years, we have dealt with malfunctioning AC units and inconsistent responses from the company. They have failed to provide any substantial assistance, solutions, or even the promised documentation. We are seeking the BBBs help in resolving this ongoing issue.Business Response

Our records indicate that after the installation of your air conditioning units nearly five years ago, we provided thorough instructions regarding the maintenance required to keep the units operating effectively. This includes regular cleaning of the filters and proper care of the equipment.
Despite multiple reminders, both over the phone and in person, about the importance of this maintenance, it appears that these guidelines were not followed. Unfortunately, neglecting to clean the filters and maintain the units can lead to significant operational issues, including a complete failure of the condenser. As a result of this negligence, the condenser now requires replacement, which will not be covered under warranty.
To illustrate this point, we have attached documentation showing the condition of your AC units before and after our service visits. Each time our technicians have serviced the units, we have noted that the filters and coils are dusty and restricted, similar to a clothes dryer when not properly maintained. Our technicians have repeatedly cleaned the filters and coils, but the neglect observed has hindered optimal performance. Please see the attached pictures for reference.
We understand that the situation is frustrating, and we truly empathize with your disappointment. While we strive to provide comprehensive service, there are limitations to what can be covered under warranty when proper care guidelines are not adhered to.

United State Solutions knocked on my door and offered to change the ventilation system in the entire house. They did a terrible installation job, the vents and ducts dont line up so now the temperature in the house varies per room. The insulation on the crawl space was everywhere and had to pay someone to fix it. NOW, we have mold growing in our crawl space because the vents and ducts dont line up and all the cold air leaking back into the attic mixing with the hot air is causing moisture and mold is growing on out vents and feeding into the entire house. I have called for 5 weeks. No one picks up or calls back EVER. All I want is the company to correct their mistake which had already been paid for. This is my familys health on the line. 2 Black young men went to my fathers house and told him they were from the city of ************** to install a new Air conditioner unit!!!! My dad ask them several times you men are from the city of **************, So my dad sent them to my home they had their badges turned backwards and they said the City of ************* has a program to install new AC units in low income peoples home! With my AC unit being up to date they check everything at my home and said I can get duct work done!!! I agree and then when they were finished I got a bill totaling ****** dollars and I went crazy because the whole time they were saying they were from the Cith of ************* a LIE!!! They lied about everything so I read over my paperwork and called the City of ************* and was informed that they hadnt sent anybody out to do any work!!! So I called this company over 20 times within 2 days to cancel this service to no avail no one answered the phone I left messages after messsages so I sent the certified paperwork to cancel in which you have three days to do so!!! The company never signed for the cancellation and the as I look at the paperwork the sales men had lied about the date they came to my house but I have cameras in my house which recorded everything they did and said and they refused to cancel this duct work now they have put a ****** lien on my home!!! My complaint written to the business:-I was verbally presented misinformation regarding your sales rep stating his affiliation with TECO.-I was not enrolled into a county or cost-savings program as your sales rep ********************** -I was told I was qualified for a program, which is untrue. I simply qualified for a loan that was submitted on my behalf without my consent.-The cost for the work that was completed is a lot more than local contractors are charging. - I was told my unit came with a heat kit and that it would be installed, no one has installed the heat kit and it's been one month since initial installation -A loan application was submitted on my behalf without my consent -Price grouping of line item ductwork, which also includes the value of the warranty. This was not explained clearly and I was not given an option to opt out of this. -$10,000 for "ductwork" is unacceptable for a house less than 1100 square feet; the warranty being included in this cost should clearly be explained to customers and it was not clearly explained to me - Targeting low income areas, telling potential customers they qualify for a program, which does not exist. Should potential customers need work done they are simply qualifying for a loan - Overall, presentation of misrepresentation of information - I was told there would be licensed technicians installing the ac and ductwork and the company never confirmed if their employees were licensed. AC was initially installed in poor fashion.- When I was presented the amount of $21,500 for ac and duct replacement, I thought I was getting a deal based on the information that was presented. I was told that I qualified for a program that would save me money, but after further investigation I realized I was lied to.- I would like a refund for the "warranty", not for the work that was actually done. In addition to the ** and duct replacement, you also authorized additional repairs to your ceiling, which were necessary pre-existing repairs. Furthermore, the cost includes a 15-year comprehensive parts, labor, and maintenance warranty, which you purchased. We believe this warranty provides significant value and peace of mind to our customers.
You expressed concerns about the licensing of our technicians. We assure you that a permit was pulled for your project, and the city inspection was passed on March 11, 2024. I am rejecting this response because1. Your company has unethical business practices.
2. Although I received a Certificate of Completion permit, you did not verify that the technicians who completed the initial install were licensed. There were several issues that needed to be fixed prior to inspection after the initial install.
3. Your employee signed loan documents on my behalf and you refuse to address this.
4. You have not installed the heating kit that comes worth the ** unit.
5. The cost of the drywall repair was not extensive. It was $600, per a discussion with the handyman. Your company merely covered $100 of a $600 expense. Proof of the $500 that I sent to cover the $600 repair is attached.
6. I do not want to continue business with your company. I will settle for a 1-year warranty to maintain my manufacturers warranty with Rheem and Id like the heat kit installed, as your technician stated that it would be shortly after the initial install. It has been nearly two months since the initial installation.
7. I never stated that I was enrolled into a program, but that your sales associate stated that I was, which is false. He also stated that I would get a tax discount for the install and insurance discount, which is also false. The whole sales pitch was misleading. Consumers make decisions based on the information that is provided. It is unethical business to lie to consumers that you solicit. You only survey low income neighborhoods for a reason, hoping that people in these areas will not catch on to your poor business practices. If you are not enrolling low income consumers into a program at all, why are you targeting what you perceive to be low income neighborhoods? Your company would provide services to all service areas if you were actually fair.
Your sales associate confirmed that you only survey low income areas Im when he solicited my husband and I. My next step will be to contact the ************************ regarding your practices and a lawyer.
8. Again, I would like a refund for the 15 year warranty because I will not be needing it.

I was told on a recorded line, by multiple associates of the business that the cost of the warranty is included in the $10,000 duct replacement fee, however, I was charged an additional $2000 for a 15-year warranty according to the attached work order. Again, proving misinformation received on my end. I had never heard of United States Solutions before the knock on my door. I had never had any issues with my air ducts and was not seeking replacement. In August, a man knocked on my door and misrepresented himself as an employee of the power company. He asked to see my power meter and showed me some sort of identification in relation to Pinellas county. I was confused, but allowed him to look at the meter. He then told me it should not be running that high, and proceeded into a conversation about replacing my air ducts, and how Pinellas county would help me. Then told me how much money I would save on my electric bill and other selling features. Still thinking this was a Pinellas county initiative, I continued speaking with him in confusion. He then got on the phone and begin making requests for loans in my name for air duct replacement. The call was monitored for quality purposes. I did not know what what was being asked of me. I kept telling him I dont understand. I dont know what youre talking about and he would just give me the answer to say on the phone. This should all be heard clearly in the recording. I told him I do not have good credit because $60,000 had just been taken from me from an ex-husband. I told him I would not qualify for any loans and thought that would be the end of the conversation. He pushed through and was able to find someone who told him yes on a loan. The guys came out three days later and replaced the air duct and on day four I got a notification saying that I had been denied the loan. A supervisor came out to the house to have me sign additional paperwork for which I again said I do not understand what this is about and at that time I expressed to her that I did not feel like this had been handled properly. This company has been shady with me from the beginning and not honest. I did not want the work. I did not need the work. I am rejecting this response because:While I appreciate the respectful and professional response, it is unfortunately false information from someone who never participated in the interactions that occurred at my home. There is too much to refute and I quite simply dont have the time to convince a dishonest company that people matter. Honesty matters. Ive learned that its not worth my time to fight with companies who do everything perfect. I appreciate the opportunity to be a recipient of this companys shameful practices and look forward to dealing with the ongoing hassles for years to come, as integrity means little to companies focused on stealing money from people who dont have it to give. And I said I couldnt afford it multiple times. Their salesman 100% misrepresented himself and filled the blanks for my responses when I didnt understand what was being asked. And the saddest part is, I would never treat any one of this companys employees like they have treated me. And when people hang up on a telemarketer or slam the door in salesman faces, please know this is why. If I wanted air ducts, if I needed air ducts, I would have saved up and paid cash. I didnt pursue this. He knocked on my door and roped me into situation I never asked for. I tend to work for my income with integrity and intelligence. But I guess those who lack these qualities, just steal from others for their income.

I am rejecting this response because:This Reply to United State Solutions LLC and to the BBB as of January 20,2024. The job of sanding and finishing the job at my home from October 2023. I was scheduled for Wednesday the17th of January and by approximately 1:30 pm I called United States Solutions, to ascertain where the "Handyman" was and if they has an approximate ETA. I was informed that the window of service was up until 7pm. Again approximately 30 minutes later I was contacted again and advised that the "Handyman" was behind and could they reschedule the appointment for the following Wednesday, the 24th of January. This date would put us outside of the 10 day response to the BBB in reference to this complaint. I look forward to completing this project that was started in October of 2023. I hope the "Handyman" shows up this Wednesday and we can put this issue to rest.

This company has been horrible to work. The initial work was done without issue. They arrived at the scheduled time and completed the work. However, I had an issue with one of my bedrooms not cooling properly and I have been contacting the company and complaining for the past 3months and the issue has still not been resolved. Whenever I call them they schedule an appointment for someone to come out and the technicians never show up or they show up on a completely different date and time. All appointments are open 8-5pm therefore Ive wasted multiples days waiting for them to arrive without ever receiving any type of phone call or anything to cancel or reschedule. Sometimes you may go to fix one problem and find another, and sometimes you fix one problem for another to occur. Some things are avoidable, but rest assured we always do our best to provide the best customer service that we call always. Though we did miss one call and have been to your home more than once, the process has certainly not taken 3 months to resolve.
