On June 15 2023 took vehicle to aamco, they called me a few hours later saying motor mounts were bad and needed replaced, they quoted me 657.27 and said would be done same day. Yesterday had work done at fort walton radiator and they said motor mounts were bad and needed replaced asap. When went back to ammco they told me that they only replaced 2 of the 4 mounts which is only half the job. Danny at ft walton air said no way they weren't bad in June and shot now. Ammco didn't do the job they said would do now I'm out $657 and need all 4 new motor mounts. Danny at ft walton air told me mounts should last 7+ years and no way that ammco did this job correctly if was just done in June. This is the reason I'm contacting you because when told aamco the situation they got very defensive and was obvious they know they are at fault.Business response

The Customer Chris ****** came in for transmission issues, thinking he needed a transmission. The Front and Rear mounts were bad causing his symptoms and were replaced. The customer took his vehicle to another shop and them telling him that his right and left mounts were bad. The customer came into out shop cussing and screaming at employees. He was accusing the employees of our establishment of "ripping him off". The mounts in question were never touched by our shop. The customer was asked to leave and not come back because of his out of control and dangerous behavior. We will not be able to issue a refund in this situation because the parts in question were never performed by our shop. Thank you and we wish the best to the customer, but ask he not return because of his Frivolous behavior.Customer response

I am rejecting the response from AAmco as they are not being truthful and not taking accountability for their actions. Their shop failed to perform proper work and now I am forced to spend more money because they did not properly fix the issue when they said they did.
Firstly, I did not take my car to their shop thinking there was anything wrong with the transmission. It was a simple battery issue that I took it in for, and later I was called and told that my motor mounts were shot. Once again, AAmco was caught in a lie. They said they replaced the front and rear mounts, but when I took the invoice from Ft Walton Radiator Auto Air & Repair (included in documents for viewing), it stated that the front and side mounts were bad. When I confronted AAmco, they told me they replaced the side and the rear mounts. However, now again in responce to you they say they replaced the front and side. The front mount is the worst and according to them, it was replaced. All four mounts should have been replaced at the time of service, and they were not. I can only assume that they were halfway done with the job when they broke my control arm and decided that two mounts were good enough.
I work extremely hard for my money, and it is disappointing when shops like AAmco take advantage of you. It is even more frustrating when they shrug their shoulders at you when you catch them in a lie from another shop. Furthermore, I was never asked to leave until I said I would contact the Better Business Bureau (BBB), and even then, I was told "Good luck with that".Sincerely,

The customer is too out of control to deal with. We can not handle irate and verbally abusive customers. We in no way will tolerate being cussed at and screamed at. The customer peeled out of the parking lot. We refuse any further service with this customer due to his violent behavior. I in no way can subject my employees to this kind of behavior. If the customer truly has a issue, he can have someone else bring the vehicle in and drop it off. If any parts of what we replaced are bad, they will gladly be replaced under his warranty. The customer does have a warranty and it will be honored.Customer response

These all come directly from the statements from them and they are all contradictory.

I have given the AAMCO plenty of business throughout the years between my car and my wife’s.
Up to now I hadn’t had any issues. I am not sure why with this situation it has come to this.
I really believe that it was specifically because I came in saying another shop stated that the mounts needed to be done.
Were they offended that I had my car at another shop? I’m not sure.What I do know is::::
*June 15th, 2023 – Went to AAMCO with what I thought was a starter or battery issue.
I received a call from AAMCO; they informed me it was the battery.
(I let them know I would take care of it myself)
They also let me know that upon inspection, my motor mounts needed to be replaced. They were badly damaged. They stated that my engine was moving several inches and that the job had to be done urgently.
I was quoted $657.27 over the phone for the replacement of the motor mounts, with the assurance that the job would be completed on the same day.
I received another call from AAMCO informing me that they broke my control arm during the repair and that the car would not be ready that day.
Now, based upon the fact that they repeatedly make accusations about my behavior, which I can assure you is a complete fallacy. I was no more upset or angry than any other customer would have been upon finding out they had been charged for a job that was only half completed.Wouldn’t it have made more sense for me to have been irate about them causing damage to my car?
No, I was understanding and made no commotion about that because I understood things happen.
Furthermore, I had to miss a day at work because of the delay due to them causing the damage to my car. Again, I made no commotion about this, even though I had been told it would be done that day.
All I want it what is fair.
I paid for a job that was not done.
I truly feel like if I take my car back that it would be a hostile environment and in this day and age I can’t say that I would even feel safe letting them work on my car now.
I have a my wife and kids that are in and out of my car. I need to trust that they will be safe when in my car.
I would like a refund.

We will not be willing to give a refund. The parts are u day warranty. We will replace the parts if they are bad. Please make arrangements to drop the vehicle off.
