I recently purchased a 2019 Toyota rav 4 from this TOYOTA dealership. I negotiated 4 new tires into the contract. I brought the vehicle back 4 days later to have them installed. They carelessly scratched the paint just above the driver's side door handle. They attempted to repair on yet another trip to the dealership with no resolve. Beware and be careful with your vehicle at this dealership. Poor management. Lack of professionalism and integrity.Review from Russell R

I took my prius in for warning lights on the dash. After waiting three hours when I had an appointment, I was given an estimate for approximately $4300.00 for repairs which included $946.00 of needed repairs. I had the car repaired for $1800.00 elsewhere. Without the $946.00 repair they said were needed. Also the repair department marks up the price from the parts department dramatically. I assume the parts department also makes money. I tried to speak with the service manager but he filtered me thru another person. He has no guts. I'll never bring my car there again. Also if that's the way they do business I won't buy a car there. I tried to get in touch with the general manager but I was blocked. I don't trust them.Review from Ray R

If you are a woman, avoid taking your vehicle for service at Bev smith Toyota. ***** was extremely rude to my mother. My Mother brought her car in for an oil change. He gave her a "list" of services needed to get done. He was irritated when she only wanted an oil change. He made a comment about her getting tires and battery replaced at ******* and said she should get her oil change done at ******* instead at Bevsmith. You can tell how miserable ***** is at his job. This man is desperate to make some money on commission. We will take *****'s recommendations and will service the car somewhere else. It's not even worth spending $80 for an oil change your stealership, the customer service is horrible. Business must be bad for you guys since it took you guys this long to remodel your outdated building. Your service advisors are just as sleazy and disreputable as your sales staff. Come on, you can do better Nick ************************* and ***************************!Review from Joe m

Bait and switch. They advertised a price ($22k) and then in negotiations they raised the price for the used vehicle by $3k for "market adjustment". Their own website has a calculator to get an idea of the out the door price and even it didn't add the "market adjustment" value.Review from Carl E

Bev Smith Toyota quoted me $65,000 for a 2023 ********************* that has MSRP of $56-$58,000, citing a market demand price adder. High pressure unethical operation, stay away.Review from KYLE H

I don't normally leave bad reviews but this dealer definitely deserves it. I have tried to buy numerous vehicles through them since they are the closest Toyota dealer to my house. However, every occasion has been a waste of my time. Very dishonest and will do whatever they can to get you there. Long story short, I called up and asked if they had a vehicle on their lot that I found through AutoTrader. They claimed it was there. Keep in mind I'm looking for an exact vehicle with certain specs so when I found it I called to make sure it was there before I wasted my time going. They claimed it was on the lot so I went there. Of course! Surprise it was not. They then tried to sell me something else which did not fit what I was looking for. I have a newer SUV with very low mileage that I was looking to get into a truck. They mentioned they had new tacomas coming in with the specs that I wanted which initially I did not want to buy new because I basically wanted to trade mine for a used one. They offered me a really good price for my used vehicle numerous times trying to get me to buy a new one, once they had one that fit the specs that I wanted. We briefly talked about pricing and the difference. I was willing to make a deal with the roundabout pricing they gave me only to find out the day I was supposed to go in & papers They were going to offer me $10,000 less for my trade... I made it clear to them initially up front what I wanted to do and how much I wanted to spend and they just basically lied to me the whole time right up until the end when I could have been dealing with somebody else. Bad business practices. Not only that, when they did the appraisal they took my vehicle without my consent with personal belongings inside including stuff for my daughter which is not an issue if they would have just asked. But how do you drive off on somebody's vehicle without saying anything? I would highly avoid dealing with these sales people at this dealer Especially ******.Bev Smith Toyota Response

CRM, *** *** contacted **** ****. **** and his wife had been previous customers of Bev Smith Toyota. Mr. **** explained in more detail what had occurred during his experience at the dealership trying to make a purchase. As vehicles are more in demand the price of trades are inflated, as are the price of cars sold. This fluctuates daily. His vehicle was appraised, but the actual trade in amount given him was changed at the very last moment. This was unfortunate, as Mr. **** had spent time trying to make this purchase. Going from a used vehicle that had been sold already to a new vehicle and then to find the trade-in value had diminished. *** *** apologized and said we would continue to look for a trade that would work for him. It was also discussed that the appraiser should have let him know that he would be driving the trade, so if **** needed to remove anything to do that first. Again, we are sorry that had occurred. **** certainly should have been advised. The dealership will keep him in mind for a vehicle he may be interested in. Mr. **** is welcome to come to Bev Smith Toyota in the future for any service, accessories or parts.Review from Tashia R

my Grandmother purchased a 2014 Nissan maxima for me back in 2016 from this location within two days my battery died on me as soon as i pulled in to my driveway then my fan for my ac unit stopped working in a supposedly great running car. we were given a payment that was reasonable only to have to come back to the dealership to do over new paper work and monthly payment increased to 484 via pnc bank which is one of the worse banks I've worked with. which meant my warranty date changed. a couple month later my vehicle is smoking white smoke so i brought it in to have it looked at and fixed and they had the nerve to tell me my warranty had just expired which was not true as they held the vehicle their shop until after the expiration date came with no contact and wouldn't fix my vehicle I was forced to take out a lease of a chr for 299.99 a month because i was starting a new job so now i am stuck paying for two vehicles totaling in $784.73 a month which is basically my entire paycheck in cars alone. when all they had to do was fix my Nissan issue. now i am struggling to maintain both the Nissan payment and my CHR payment which was completely unfair to me as the customer and now when my lease is up on my CHR i am still gonna be required to pay all these fees when all i wanted was my Nissan fixed that way i wouldn't be stuck with two car payments I will never use this dealership again not to mention you guys ran my credit thru so many banks when you guys have your own financing absolutely unacceptableReview from Patricia

Worse place I have ever encountered! Parts department picks up the phone and hangs up. Parts departments keeps pulling up excuses when exchanging a battery! Original place I have purchased the battery from states I can take the battery anywhere and have it replaced! Bev Smith Toyota is a bunch of ******* that tries to trick you to get money out your pocket! I am so disgusted with the service I have received today from **** and *****! I will never go to this facility ever again!
Now they want me to tow my car there and use roadside assistance when I am not a participant of that program!
I guess because I am black I get a hard to replace a faulty battery!
I am so frustrated with the lack of help this facility offers!
With rude agents with attitude answering the phone and for someone to pick up the phone and hang it up purposely really pissed me off!
I want to file a complaint with a CEO for this facility!Review from Jeffrey B

Finance manager bald-faced lied to me when I bought the car. I bought a 10-year 100,000-mile warranty. Turns out to be a 5-year 60,000 mile warranty. No one wants to make good on this. Slimy dealer would never use them again
