I lost my debit card back in November 2023 and transferred all my money into my savings. I later realized my automatic payment to travelers was rejected and when I logged on to try and pay. It showed my policy was canceled. I called travelers to confirm. I immediately signed up with a new car insurance agency. A few weeks later travelers tried to take the payment out. I rejected the payment and got ahold of ****** at acentria to tell her the situation. She emailed me back asking when my new policy started and this email was sent to my junk. I got an email today telling me my total due was going to collections. Even though I have had new insurance this whole time and told my policy was canceled. ****** has not tried to call me once since this was going on. Shes never returned my calls in the 5 years I used this agency. Trying to force someone to pay for something and never calling them is super unprofessional. I wont be paying this, I have proof of travelers canceling my policy and proof of my new policy, all of this information has been sent to my lawyer and action will be taken if sent to collection. STOP trying to bill me for an insurance company who canceled ME after 5 years for one returned payment and now trying to force me to stay. Car insurance works by paying for the month before you use it. If I made a claim in January even though I hadnt paid travelers would they have paid my claim? I highly doubt it. ****** and the *************** agency needs to fix this.Initial Complaint

I sold my office building and the new owner let me stay in the building for a few months until my medical practice was closed. He mad me purchase insurance through his company. I paid for a year even though I stayed only a few months. I left the practice and building and retired. I received a bill for insurance renewal and was threatened with collections even though I was out of the building for about one year. I called Acentria insurance in *************** and spoke with a ************** who is my case representative. Her eyemail is ************************************* Her phone number is ************. She said she would reach out to Hartford Insurance. She called me back today 9-6-2023 and told me she reached out to Hartford but that I owed ****** dollars. She told me she was new to my case and that the previous representative should have taken care of the matter. I have now decided that not only do I not want to pay this amount but I now want the policy pro- rated for the amount that I stayed in the office of four months from the date the policy started. In otherwords, I want a refund.
