Jim's Floor Depot I would never buy another LVP floor from Jims Floor Depot in Dundee Florida. We bought Living room/Family room three years ago and paid $4037.91. The whole floor is rippling up. The floor had a LIFE TIME Warranty. We called him. He said I'll get back with you in about six weeks. Well it was eight weeks and we called back. He said the company that made the floor went out of business and he only gives a one year warranty so no coverage! Wow just wow!Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/01/10) */ The ***** purchase the floor in September 2018 and had no issues until November of 2021 when i got a call because they said their floor was Rippling, I went out on November 5th 2021 and took pictures and said that the mill should be in contact with them to set up a flooring inspector to determine the cause to the floor in question after 3 years. On January 6th 2022 a flooring inspector went out took pictures and is putting a report together to give to the mill to determine the cause of the flooring question. The mill typically takes four to six weeks to respond as soon as they do we will let the******* know what the mill found out. Thank You Better Business Bureau for bringing this to our attention we strive to make sure every customer satisfies and that they are well taken care of and this situation will be no different.Initial Complaint

I hired Jim's Floor Depot to install new carpet in the upstairs of my house. The work was done on or about March 31, 2021-April 4, 2021 by independent contractors for the business. I paid 1/2 ($1550) using my debit card before the commencement of work and was supposed to pay the balance after completion and my approval. Instead they ran my debit card for the balance of $1550 without my consent or approval of the work. The job was not done properly, there are tack strips sticking my feet on almost every stair and at the transition from the master bed into the bath. They broke a closet door beyond repair, did not say anything and just left if. Once I informed the owner, he refused to replace the door and said his workers did not break it. basically, calling me a liar. At this point, I want a full refund and I will pay someone else to fix these extremely inconvenient issues and install a new door.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/08/14) */ On 3/25/2021 Ms. ************** came into our store at JIMS FLOOR DEPOT and Picked out a carpet for us to install in her home, She put down $1550 of the $3100 total job per a check and signed the contract for the downpayment. Once we installed her carpet she phoned in the balance due of $1550 per a credit card which we did not have she gave it to us after the installation and signing our Customer satisfaction form then walks the job with the installer and she "LOVED THEM" the installers and phone in her balance due. She was very happy! Once we finished the job ************** signed the Customer Satisfaction form letting our company know tha the PRODUCT/SERVICES we rendered and she was VERY HAPPY and LOVE THEM INSTALLERS and Paid her Bill. I am sending over the Customer Satisfaction Form to show she was happy. NOW, Aug. 6th she is contacting the BBB because she tried CHARGEBACKING the $1550 and was Denied. Now she is asking the BBB. This Customer is selling her home and is trying not to pay her bill, and we did not brake any Bi-fold door of $50 and it is now 4 months later and she is trying to get something for nothing. Product and services were rendered, our installer said that bi fold door was off due to the customer trying to install Laminate flooring and client was unsuccessfull so they called JIMS FLOOR DEPOT to install Carpet into her home. She has been trying to get her money back for the last month and been unsuccessfull. I did try to go out in JUly to tap down the tack strips which can come through the instock carpet she bought by lightly tapping down with a hammer the tacks and all would be well, But Ms. ****** ******* would not open her door to let us in to do this on June 4th 2021. She just doesnt want to pay her bill for Product/Services she was rendered from JIMS FLOOR DEPOT. We try to make all our clients happy, but this customer wants something for Nothing and we cannot do that. Thank you BBB for bringing this to our attention. JIMS FLOOR DEPOT
