This company uses predatory lending practices for small business loans. I was the victim of such practices when I received the loan. Basically I was in desperate need of the funds to make payroll for my employees, the interest rate was more than 44-50% with daily payments of over $400 a day. They also use harassment and intimidation tactics by using collection agents to attempt to collect.

Dear *************************, Everest Business Funding does not provide interest based loan products, but rather provides fast working capital through the purchase of a company's future receivables. We have proudly helped thousands of merchants access fast working capital in this manner. We have also worked with many merchants during hardship by adjusting their daily remittance. Unfortunately, you stopped payments in May 2022 and despite our best efforts to work with you, we were ultimately left with no option other than to send your account to a collections agency. We find your comments to be defamatory, but wish you and your business nothing but the best moving forward..

The representative of the company contacted me and assured me that based upon the financial information I provided to him and my 805 credit score, and annual volume, he could offer me a business line of credit and quoted me a rate range and loan amount.Based upon his loan offer, I submitted an application which included very sensitive personal and confidential financial data and consented to a hard credit inquiry. His "underwriter" then called me and told me that the business line of credit was not available but attempted to offer me another loan product which I did not seek and which was not originally offered to me.Additionally she quoted me an outrageous high monthly interest rate.I told her that this was clear deception, misrepresentation, and bait-and-switch tactic, and that I would report her company and instructed her to destory all of my data submitted to her.

Based on the facts provided, it is evident you are complaining about a brokerage you chose to work with, not our company that purchased your business' accounts receivable.  You should contact the brokerage you worked with.  Our concern now is that you had a side arrangement with this brokerage that was not at all apart of our contractual terms and agreement; and it now seems that you have misrepresented your facts and intentions to us in order to fraudulently induce us into purchasing your company's future receivables.  Our agreement is a purchase transaction, not a loan as evidenced by its very terms.  It is unfortunate you lied to us when we underwrote your deal.  Should you wish to return our purchase price and cancel the agreement, please contact our customer service department.  Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because:

There was NO "purchase of accounts receivable" and they are so dumb they don't even know what they are talking about.

No wonder they have such horrible ratings!

      Sincerely,

      **********************

I'm about to be homeless and lose my vehicle because I cannot make the payments it's to much money.

You, on behalf of your company, did not remit any receivables since March 16, 2022, until yesterday when you set up a modification.  Further, we are not a loan company and we do not provide lending products.  We simply purchase companies' future receipts and the company tenders merely 15%-20% of its daily accounts receivable until the amount we purchase is paid.  If your company has difficulty tendering its modified payments, please contact the representative you have been working with to work on another arrangement.  We know nothing about the *** company you complain of, nor anything regarding your allegations about them.  It sounds to us that you may have sold additional receivables to another company, which if you did so after our purchase, that would be a breach of our agreement.  We wish you and your company the best, and again, please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.  Thank you.
