Ordered ************************* Abs1 Ivory Rug 1 for $914.00 from AreaRugs.com on May 27, 2023. Received rug and found the color variation to be more than what the picture displayed on website and realized the rug did not match our decor. Contacted support via email and was told to provide pictures of the rug since we thought the rug was defective. We sent pictures to support and were told the colors are fine and that they would give us a refund but we would need to pay for the return shipping, which turned out to be $324.19 for *** Ground. We informed support we should not have to pay for shipping for a product that was not as advertised color wise and potentially defective. AreaRugs.com has disclaimer on their website stating they are essentially not responsible for variations in rug color due to differences between website pictures and the actual product. This is unacceptable and is obviously a way for them to get out of losing money on freight costs when customers return rugs that are defective or different than what they advertised, which is essentially false advertising. We told AreaRugs.com we want to not only be refunded the $914.00 for the rug but also the $324.19 for the freight. They are refusing to refund the $324.19 for the freight.
