First off, I found it interesting that I could not post this review on Spring ***** site. Second, I must have gotten a different sales rep than whom the satisfied customers had. Mine wanted more water testing done than what I already had provided Spring Well and I made it clear I wasnt going to do that. No more water testing. So when Spring well advertised 12% off I asked for their best price on a whole house filter system with water softener and again with the water testing and again made it clear I wasnt testing any more water. I asked for pricing and again got the water testing then finally got an offer of 5% discount leaving the sales rep a hefty extra 7% commission from the advertised 12% off.SO sick & tired of salesmen trying to get into my wallet and there is no shortage at Spring Well. I gave them 2 stars to their customer service. Here is my story: I bought a salt-based system from SpringWell Water. However, it changed the taste of my water. I called them, and they said they have a swap program and I can get a salt-free system! The condition was that I needed to ship a part of my current system to them and pay for shipping. I also needed to pay the difference between the two systems. I had a hard time finding packaging for the long tank, and I also worried about shipping costs from ********** to *******. When I called them to ask a question about the packaging, they said I did not need to ship it (just to destroy the system per their instruction) which was really nice! Eventually, I paid the difference of two systems, and they shipped the salt-free system but it was much smaller than my older system. A few things: 1- They did not ************* as I was trying to understand why they sent me a smaller system! They did not explain that they were going to do it at them time of agreement and payment (otherwise I may pay for the bigger size) . 2- I wish they were transparent about their swap program! I had a lot of stress and did a lot of works finding package and get quotes from some of the shipping carriers. Overall, it was not a very pleasant experience with the company. At the end, do not recommend Salt free system for any house from any company. It is not good for health in long term, bad taste and very hard to maintain.Review from Daniel G

Salt free filtration system.worked fine for a little over a year, then we noticed a significant iron taste come back into our water and increasing sediment as well. The only response we got from customer service was to try bleaching the system (which would do nothing for iron or sediment), and after that we can test our water (at our expense) because maybe the system they sold us can't handle our water quality (even though it worked fine for a year). Basically, if things work then you're fine, but if the equipment breaks down they will blame you and your water, and won't lift a finger to make things right.Springwell Water Filtration Systems Response

Customer purchased the wrong system for his well water. He didn't get the water tested nor did he consult with us before purchasing. We cannot guess what is in the water nor can we assume any system will work on all water types. Do you go to the doctor and demand meds before blood work is done? NO! Same rule applies here. They are embarrassed they bought the wrong system. We have tried several times to help this customer at our own expense even though he bought the wrong system. He is condescending, rude and just simply hangs up on us. The system is 1 year and 7 months old. At this point we have no desire to help this man although we would have given him a full refund or the correct system for his water type. Unfortunately we can't be cause of rudeness and lack of communication.Review from Brian H

We had the Whole House Filter and Salt Free Water Softener installed professionally in early 2020. After almost 4 years of continuous problems with black specs of carbon clogging the sink and tub faucet aerators we had the entire system removed and a complete new system installed by a terrific competitor. During the four years we had to install an additional Big Blue Filter, didn't help. Springwell did send a new carbon filter and tank that we had installed at our expense. That did not solve the problem. All in we invested well over $3000.00 for a system that failed us. When the competitor came to our home and initially tested our water it had 11-12 grains of calcium/magnesium, very hard. Before I called the competitor I sent an email to Springwell about our displeasure, did not receive a response. We cannot recommend Springwell for this product/service. Stay as far away from this company and system as you can! In February 2023 we purchased a whole-house water filter and softener system for over $3,000. We are on a well and I spoke with the representative for a lengthy period on which system to purchase. Installed the system and performed a pre- and post-filter water analysis through Mid-West Labs in Omaha. Their conclusion was that the system was doing nothing. My wife said she noticed a "slimy" feeling in dishes and other articles after making contact with the the water. Looked in the toilet tanks and noticed an oily substance floating on top of the water. Called Brandon at Technical Support. He stated the filter system was only for "peace of mind" that the harmful chemicals that might have been used on the farmland on which we live would be removed. He argued that the oily substance was not possible. After arguing, he asked if we wanted and exchange or refund. I told him the system was no good as is. He told me to drill holes in the tank to prove it had been rendered useless, which I did. Asking where to send the photos, he said they wanted the tank back. He said he had made that perfectly clear, which he did not or I would not have drilled holes in it and sent it to recycling. He then said he would have to speak with is manager. Bottom line: System doesn't work as advertised and their customer and technical support leaves a lot to be desired. Brandon at Technical Support is arrogant and arguments are inaccurate at best. Bought the system in Jan 2023, installed it my self being a retired contractor. System was easy to install, did all the steps required and has worked flawlessly. This month the soft water tank started leaking on the side, very small weep hole. I contacted Spring Well, talked Brandon and I just received a new tank. I call that great customer service!!! Things happen, leaks, faulty equipment and you need to take that into consideration. As long as you give good customer service those things are over looked. I have only had my system 5 months and the small issue I had I feel was handled in a timely manner and professionally! Love the RO system, no more bottled water!!!! I'd like to give these folks a positive review for doing the right thing and standing behind their service and support. I had a poor outcome with their salt-free system likely due to my location. It was a big frustration for me as the system isn't cheap and rated one of the top performing salt-free water conditioners. After multiple attempts, the customer support staff was able to sell me a discounted salt based system. I own up to my part of the issue by not installing the system within quicker time-frame to take advantage of the 6 month guarantee and for not heeding the advice to stick with a salt system. Regardless, they did the right thing and worked with me to resolve my issues. Companies like Springwell are far and few these days. Very pleased!Review from John R.

After a year of using one of their systems (CSF-1), which I paid over $2k for, I still have hard water stains on shower doors, glasses in the dishwasher, etc. All the claims I was made by the person I spoke to before buying were absolutely FALSE! I recently contacted SW's "Tech Support" twice because the first person 'Tech' I spoke to, all he was able to do was offer me a discount on yet another system. Same thing when I called the second time and spoke to another 'Tech', Matthew (he said was his name) . He offered me a 75% discount on one of their 'salt based' systems. I told him I had spent that amount of money for a salt free system. Why the hell would I shell out even more money for a salt based one, when the first system didnt live up to its billing!! There was absolutely NO suggestion on why the system was not working as promised! The one thing he suggested, was using vinegar and a 'magic eraser' pad for cleaning the water spots their system SHOULD HAVE ELIMINATED! Certainly adding "insult to injury"!!! After my insistence on how ripped off, mislead and simply lied to I felt, he offered to "move up" my concerns to "management team" and see what they "could do" for me! Their money back warranty expires 6 mos. after buying system. It takes longer than that before the efficacy of the system 'kicks in'. Mr ******** first off we would like to say we are very sorry you are not happy with the system you purchased from us. We are extremely transparent in our selling methods of our systems. We do not make claims that a water softener will eliminate spots because it is just not true. What a water softener of any kind will do is make cleaning much easier than it was before. We also have a 6 Month Money Back Guarantee the best in the industry. It does not take 6 months to see if the system is working or not so we are not sure where you read that or heard that. What we do better than any company in our industry or not is take care of our customers. We understand you did not want to try another type of system or replace the system you have because you lost faith in us and for that we are sorry. You purchased the system in January of 2021 and didn't contact us for any type of troubleshooting until August of 2022. You had plenty of time to contact us and either let us resolve the issue or refund your full amount and you just did not do that. We see that as unfair as you come to the BBB to bash us for something we didn't even know was happening. As we said before we go above and beyond any company to make sure our customers are happy and satisfied and we will certainly do it for you. All we ask is why do you have to say we sell snake oil gadgets when that is simply not true. It is very hurtful to our company and our team and we really do not appreciate it at all. As we said though we are going to give you a FULL CREDIT back to you even though it has been 1-1/2 years since you purchased the system. Not worth it! I bought a whole house well system from them and it failed after 200K gallons. They claim it will last for 1 million gallons. I started getting nasty water running through my house again. And then about 20K gallons later, the electronic head started saying I was using over 2500 gallons per day. I shut off the water coming into the house and then the valve after the filters that feeds the house. Then I stood there and watched it saying I was running around 6 gpm with absolutely no water running through it. I tried to write this review on their website and they just suppressed it because it wasn't 5*.Springwell Water Filtration Systems Response

Mr ********** we are very sorry you are not happy with your water filtration system. You purchased your system Nov. 11, 2019 and we assume it was installed within a month or so. We have scoured our data base and see that you never have called to troubleshoot any issue with the system. We see you ordered a Well Water System but we don't have any well water test results for your particular well water. Do you even have the right system for your water? We pride ourselves on customer service but unless we know there is an issue there is nothing we can do. Now that we know you have an issue we are willing to help you resolve the issues you are having. We can start by sending you a test kit from the lab we go through at no charge to get the raw water tested to see what the problem is. Once we establish that we can get the system where it needs to be and get you on the right track. We are going to have our team reach out to you to start the process today. Thank you.
