About 2 months ago my HOA had a vinyl fence installed along the backyards of our development replacing a fence bordering Royal Palm Blvd, Margate. The day the installation was to begin I had a conversation with Xtreme's salesman, ***, who was onsite. I explained to him that a portion of the fence on my property that had accent lights was not to be removed. Only the fence along my property line was to be removed. He said that was fine, that it wouldn't be removed. I left to run a few errands and when I returned all the fence had been removed including what wasn't supposed to be removed and the accent lights were in 2 piles on my lawn and weren't working. I immediately called *** but the call went to voicemail. Our head of our association was present inspecting the work and I explained what happened. He called *** who agreed that the fence on my property wasn't to be removed. He said he would take care of it. I called him again and spoke to him. He said he would see what he could do. He did not call back for a week and when he did he offered a $300.00 discount on an unrelated fence project that I had mentioned to him in passing. I told him that this wasn't adequate. The fence removed was 28.5' long with a gate and lighting. He said that was all he could do, that I should contact the owner Charles. I contacted him and he asked me for pictures of the "small" fence which I provided. He said that he removed the fence as a favor, that it was rotten and that I had no accent lighting. I sent him pictures of the fence, piles of lights on my lawn and a picture of a post that had to be sawed off, not rotten. Nine days went by without a reply. I emailed him again and he replied that he needed 2 feet of clearance to install the new fence, No mention of rotting fence or accent lighting. I sent him a picture of the distance between the new fence and where my fence was before they removed it-41 inches, much more than the 2' needed. 1 month, no reply/resolution after several emails.
