The business addressed the issues within the complaint, but the consumer either a) did not accept the response, OR b) did not notify BBB as to their satisfaction.

We have sent this email to ************, the general manager of Marine Max Ft. Myers, ** on March 1, 2024 and have not had a reply or repair. We feel this is a time delay tactic to have the boat's warranty to expire leaving us with no recourse. This is our second boat purchased in 4 years from your facility and expected prompter service. We have been vigorously trying throughout these past 8 months to have our 2022 SeaRay 310 SLX, which we purchased from Ft. Myers (June 2023), warranty work completed. Your experience and knowledge in the boating industry will hopefully assist in a quick solution to this problem.We have worked with numerous service advisors/employees throughout these last 8 months and have had difficulty getting our warranty work accomplished. The speakers were replaced (2/12/24) by the electrical company from Venice who works on Fusion electronics. There have been many emails, phone calls and personal visits to *****************. The latest attempt was a personal visit 2/9/24), then an email (2/15/24) with no response, and then another personal visit (2/20/24) by *****. ***** was told by *****************, someone would be out the next week by Friday, March 1, which did not happen. We dont doubt your service department is busy. We dont doubt emergencies happen and change the schedule. We feel we have been very patient with this process and many solutions have been suggested by *****, but it seems our boat has fallen through the cracks and service has not been able to be completed after all these months. We are requesting a resolution to this huge delay and inconvenience. We would like a reply and a secured service appointment to ensure this work gets completed immediately. MarineMax goes above and beyond other boat dealers to create the best ownership experience from start to finish. We hope this quote from the MarineMax website will be holding true for us in the very near future. Thank you.

Horrible Service Quality and Management at MarineMax, Charleston location Strike 1: Had them install a Garmin 315 VHF radio and the genius technician mounted the handheld on the starboard facing side of the center console. When I asked the manager why they would put it in such a dumb location, he said that they could relocate it but they didn’t have anyone that could patch the original holes. So I ended up buying a new mount and adding another mounting location myself, in a position where I could reach the handheld from the captain seat and see the screen. Strike 2: Had them detail my boat and apply a fresh coat of bottom paint. Detailing was way overpriced for the job they did and they left masking tape everywhere including covering my transducer. Didn't realize tape was covering the transducer until after I returned from a reef and noticed it. Hosed up a day’s fishing trip and luckily their negligence didn’t damage the electronics and result in costly damage. Strike 3: Took the boat in for them to investigate a creaking noise coming from the steering head. They charged me a hour at $200/hr just to look at it and told me that it was “cosmetic” but if I really wanted them to diagnose it, I could pay an estimated 10 hours of labor and gamble on their findings being covered by warranty. I declined and told them that I would deal with the annoying noise until it actually evolved into something that impacted driving. I picked up the boat and that weekend had planned a day on the water with the family and friends. Immediately, after taking the boat off the trailer, I realized that there was no power steering. Another day ruined. Their incompetent technicians neglected to reconnect the wiring harness after looking into the steering noise and left the cover halfway on. Asked for that hour of labor back and a manager to call me about the situation. Cowardly, no response, accountability, and interest in Customer satisfaction.
