This doctor is the worst I asked him to up my script because it was not enough. He told me to just eat my cannabis thats not how I prefer it and then canceled my prescription completely because I got upset.Review from Gloria M S.

I want to share our experience with Dr ********************** and his staff. In any medical emergency we have had they always make accommodations to help with the medical needs! Our needs are unexpected yet they consistently do their best to ***** us the service we may need. I'm responding to the Rosanna E person below. I'm not sure Dr. Moreno even knows what's happening over there with his "staff" canceling his appointments or refusing to schedule them or making it difficult to see him. Definitely something wrong within the office. My daughter got bit by a horse and broke her finger, which was also infected. Reception staff would not let her make an appointment to see the doctor, even though he's been our family doctor for more than 10 years. I privately spoke with him. He didn't know my daughter was prevented from coming in. I mean, a broken finger from a horse bite is pretty serious. He insisted staff schedule a follow up. Walked us up to counter and he literally insisted. Day prior to her follow up appointment, staff called to cancel, said Dr. Moreno's wife needs to review whether my daughter can come in for a follow up to her infected and broken finger. His wife? I feel bad for him. His reputation was impeccable, his standards very high, but something isn't right now.New Age Medical Center, P.A. Response

I'm sorry to hear you had such a frustrating experience, but I appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention, I don't know your case, but Dr. Moreno's Wife does billing at the office maybe that's the case related. I was excited to have found what I thought was an "honorable doctor and practice," per friends' recommendations, especially being that he (Dr. ******) is Hispanic like me. I got 2 physicals done at his practice, both by different medical staff, saw the doctor maybe for 2 mins each time, but I was content with the service. Last week, as I was heading to my appointment, for another physical, I got a call from them stating that they needed to reschedule but didn't provide a reason. This week I was in the area so I decided to pass by and reschedule it in person. I asked the secretary if I could get a blood script so that I didn't have to pay just to pick one up. She rescheduled me and explained that the blood script would be given to me on the day of the physical, after being seen by the doctor, and that when the results were back I would be asked to come in and review them without having to pay again, which seemed reasonable to me. Two days later I received a letter stating "I regret to inform you that I am withdrawing from further professional attendance upon you..." without further specific explanation as to why. I am still in shock and extremely disappointed at their unprofessional behavior. I will definitely not recommend them since they can not be trusted to have the best interest of their patient in mind, judged by their actions.New Age Medical Center, P.A. Response

unfortunately at this time, the doctor will focus his practice just on functional medicine and not on primary care. This is due to insurance reasons. I appreciate your response. However, "it would have been better if you had called" me or told me of this decision and reason in person, when I went to to your office, instead of finding out with a letter that provided no reasoning. Also, for an apology to be of value it should not be followed by a "but" because it negates the apology- I thought this was common knowledge. For the benefit of your practice and that of your current and future clients I suggest you work on your communication skills and customer service practices. This office is a disaster starting with the Dr's wife, Sandra M. She's extremely rude and the staff just follows her lead. They charged me a $40.00 "no show" fee because they claim I called in to cancel on the same day of the appointment which isn't true. I found out about the fee a year later. This fee is from 2020 during COVID19 and it clearly says on their apptm reminders not to come in to the office if you have been exposed to COVID19 or are running a fever. You would think they would be more understanding during such a difficult time. It's not even about the fee but the rudeness of the staff and the office manager. Charging patients additional fees is bad enough but to add insult to injury, they treated me terribly after several years of seeing Dr. M. I had to actually ask if I was going to be able to see the Dr. as they left me waiting for a very long period of time and embarrassed me in front of other patients over this fee. Hi ****************, I'm sorry about your experience at the office. Actually, the day that you came to the office, the manager, Ms. Sandra Moreno, was not in the building (Office). she was called by phone by the staff about your situation, and she voided two more fees that you had in your account. (she just left one no-show fee). Just for your information, the first time that you came to the office, you signed our policies and financial agreement. This means that you need to comply with all your financial responsibilities during the visit. the Staff tried to work with regarding this matter, but you refused to participate and left the facility.
