on 04-08-2023, I purchased a range that I was told was in stock. on Friday May 1st. I went to see why it was not in. I was told it just got to their warehouse that day. I was also told by the salesperson that she didn't say it was in stock. So she called my a liar. I inquired today 05-09-2023 and was told it would not be in the Tampa warehouse until 05-16-2023. I spoke3 with the manager and she told me that alot of people complain that the are treated like I was.Business response

The following is our response to *** ******* *******, BBB Complaint (*** ***** *******1)* *** ******* purchased a Whirlpool Dryer and Hotpoint Range from Famous Tate on 4/8/2023 at our Springhill store on invoice ********** The customer received the dryer on 4/8/2023 and the range had to be ordered as it was not in stock.
We are sorry about to hear about the lack of proper communication we may have provided the customer in regards to arrival of the Hotpoint Range that was special ordered. Unfortunately we are only as good as the information provided to us from the manufacturer. The arrival date seems to be a moving target that all retailers seem to be dealing with these days from the manufacturers.
The customer did call Famous Tate to cancel his order on 5/10/2023. We promptly apologized for the not being able to deliver his range on time. We provided *** ******* with a full refund of $499.13 to his Visa card. We do also want to point out that the customers range did arrived in our warehouse on 5/16/2023.Initial Complaint

*** ************** * ******* * ************** * **** * ***** * ********** ********* transaction with ****** **** * **** ******** ****** **** ** ***** * *** *** **** I purchased a GE range which, upon installation, incurred damage, as well as causing damage to my adjacent counter top. I promptly notified Famous Tate and was subject to a constant runaround regarding repair following my forwarding a picture of the damage to their delivery/repair team, Diverse Logistics. I finally opened a dispute (which Citi separated into 2 parts). I subsequently heard from Diverse Logistics, who apologized for their lack of follow-up and promised a substantial credit on condition I close my dispute. Citi advised that I would have no recourse if I closed the dispute and then did not receive the promised credit … so I left the dispute open. i resubmitted all my receipts & letter request for compensation credit to citi but in february 2023, citi closed both disputes due to famous tate's refusal to cooperate. i now have to llive with the damage. how terrible.Initial Complaint

on 3/01/2020 i purchased a whirlpool washer from famous tate with 5 year warranty paid 447.30 and 179.88 for warranty. this was serviced for same problem 3 times . they told me they would reimburse me for purchase but not warranty. this is only 2-1/2 yrs old. need at lease half of warranty paid returned. just purchased new machine with cost me 300.00 more than i originally spent first time. name of insurance company centricity 800-874-7587 i also notified famous tate on this matterBusiness response

The problem was with Centricity who she has Insurance with on her appliances. I called for her several times. They are going to send her a check for the amount she paid for her washer. Unfortunately, there are processes that sometimes takes more time then expected.
