I was quoted a price of $950 to replace circuit board and capacitor. Technician returned and replaced both and bypassed my heating system without my knowledge. After he was done he told me it would be $1000 if I wanted to rewire so that heat would work. Now I am left with only emergency heat with my heat pump bypassed. My heat was working fine before this issue. I contacted the owner who refused to resolve the problem and refused to remove the part and refund my money. They bypassed my system without telling me until they were done. They should not have done the job and I would not have agreed to the repair if they had told me they were going to bypass my heat pump and leave me with emergency heat only. The The owner said it was unforeseen. Bottom line the tech should not have proceeded with the repair without telling me he was going to bypass my heat pump. I would not have agreed! I would have called for second and third opinions before having such repair done I would never bypass my heating system. They only only offered to give me credit towards a new unit, new install. That is unacceptable. I would like my money refunded and they can remove their circuit board and capacitor.Business response

President Contact Phone: 8134000123 Contact Email: [email protected] Everything was told to her up front and in writing on the invoice. It was explained 100% before we accepted any payment. The unit was damaged by a lizard that got in to the unit and caused electric damage. We can not be fully determine extent of damage until the unit is operational again. The board was needed to get the unit cooling. Unit is cooling and heating but due to bad tstat wire that was burned out when the board went bad. It caused another issue that could not be seen until the unit was running again. Everything she says we didn't tell her is written on the invoice we left. We even told her not to fix the 12 year old unit up front before work started because low voltage electrical issues can cause unexpected problems down the road. She's playing the victim and crying foul because she won't accept the truth. We sent another tech to see if we could fix it another way the next day and without new wire to replace the 22 year old tstat wire the heat pump will not engage. We offered to refund the full amount towards a replacement unit as well. The wire already had a bad wire that another company changed the extra good wire to power the tstat. We have EVERYTHING in writing with her signature on it. We fixed her broken 12 year old out of warranty unit the same day and fixed it so she's cooling and still heating (emergency heat) the best anybody could do in that situation.
