We used New Leaf in 2021 they were absolutely horrible. They never got anything moved just continued lying to us. They are a broker, they give you dirt cheap quote then no one takes it. I started with them 3 months before the move but come the day they said they would pick stuff up they called with excuses - they hired someone finally out of ********** that did not show. I had paid them over $8000 by that time. I had to hire a different company and even then they stuff didn't show ** in ********* until my son was in the house for 5-6 weeks. This company is out of South ******* *** it is my understanding they don't have the same consumer protections there. Once I started complaining they basically didn't return calls. DO NOT USE ANY COMPANY TO ARRANGE MOVERS but go to a moving company or move yourself with someone loading and unloading. PODS works well too - trying to save money cost me an additional $12,000.Review from Diane P

I have just recently moved my items out of storage that were moved from ********* ** to ******** ** last July.Due to the storage space being packed pretty full, I am just now seeing the damage and missing items.I had glass items broken and a 5 gallon water bottle with more than $400 in change stolen.I have no idea what to do.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO ARRANGE MOVERS!!Review from Jane B

If I could rate less than one star, I would. DO NOT USE THIS BROKER/COMPANY!!!Worst experience ever. Initial quote around $6000. 5 days prior to move we reviewed items and price increased another $9000!!! At that point it was too late to find another mover. They are only a broker, so they hire the actual movers and truck. I told them we had more stuff than would fit in the largest Uhaul or Ryder truck. They showed up with one Ryder truck. They wanted more money for a second truck. After discussing back and forth with New Leaf customer service and the truck driver/movers - who said our items would not go to the state we were moving to, but rather 3 hours in the wrong direction and could be in storage up to several weeks - we fired them. The driver swore at me as he peeled out of our yard and threatened to *** us. One of the movers told my friend that this was not the first time people had sent them away because of price increases. With bait and switch tactics, price increases, and uncertainty on where our items would actually end up, we made the decision to cut our losses, lost the entire deposit (about $6700 at that point). We found the nearest Uhaul and rented the largest truck. Hired movers from a local moving service - who did a fantastic job loading almost all our items in that truck. The rest we filled our camper and vehicles with. We drove it halfway across the US and then flew my husband back to get the pickup and camper and he made the long drive again. At least we knew where our entire household was and had some peace of mind. This was our first and last time using a broker or moving company.Review from John P

Would rate less than one star if I could. Company was responsive until we tried to update our inventory by phone. The contact would not respond to our calls until we were within the five day non-cancellable period. At that point the estimate was increased by 50%. We could agree to pay the additional charge or lose our original deposit. New Leaf underestimated the size of the truck needed to transport our goods. When the subcontracted moving company arrived, the driver informed us that he would need an additional truck and that truck would not arrive until the next day and of course for an additional charge. After resolving that issue, our property arrived at our new home with many damaged items. Totally unhappy with the service. Cannot recommend this company .New Leaf Moving Group Response

New leaf is a Terrible company. Absolutely the WORST. First they are not movers but brokers who hire a different moving company to move you. No one told me another company would actually move me (more on that). I spoke to *****, who seemed very knowledgeable and friendly. We did a very thorough inventory and i was quoted a price. ***** even up-charged me and assured me that i would most likely get a refund. 2 weeks before our move i did not hear from anyone so i started doing more research about New Leaf. i found a ton of terrible reviews. I called New leaf and spoke to **. ** reassured me that my move would smooth. ** said the quoted price will stay the same. and the moving company would get our things to us (WI to MA) in max 2 weeks (contract says they have 30 days to deliver). We didn't believe ** but it was too late to cancel without losing our deposit. we decided to pack up ourselves (even though we paid for packing). Moving company (*** & SON's) arrived 1 day early. they did their own inventory and stated that i had to pay an additional $3000 to what New leaf quoted. They arrived so late in the day that they had to come back the following day to pack up our stuff. It took the delivery company 6 weeks to deliver our stuff and my family and I had none of our stuff. Every time i called new leaf all they told me was they have 4 weeks to deliver and only after 4 week would New leaf be able to file a complaint to the department of transportation. I harassed the moving company and called every day. the company only had 1 moving truck listed on the DOT website. I filed my own complaint with DOT as the moving company and new leaf assured me we would have our stuff in 2 weeks. 6 weeks later $14,000 (originally quoted & 11,000) we finally got out stuff. Nothing was missing or broken. *****, **, and the new leaf moving company are a terrible company. If i could give them -100 stars i would. I hope this review helps another family. STAY AWAY FROM NEW LEAF MOVING GROUP!!!!!New Leaf Moving Group Response

The additional costs were reviewed with you on the day of pick up to confirm how you wanted to proceed. If you need any assistance please contact our office *******************.Review from Terry R

Awful moving experience! I can deal with the price change, even though we went over everything on the phone for a quote. Agent said with his exp. it would take 5 days for delivery. It took 20 days. Also was told I could call throughout the wait to check on our furniture to see where it is, that was also a lie. The worst, was when the driver showed up in his 18 wheeler by himself to unload all of our belongings. He said he had help lined up, but he’s done this for many years and he’s going to unload by himself! What a joke! Took him 4 hours 30 min to unload the truck. My husband unwrapped every single item that was wrapped. He put together the couch, 2 desks and the king size bed frame. If he didn’t unwrap and put together we would have been there over 6 hours for 1 man ti do everything. The driver also asked my husband for help dragging the king size mattress inside. Very very unprofessional! The driver also took a big chunk out of the wall and never wrote it up. I contacted new leaf by email. Their response was pitiful. Blah blah and it will be forwarded to upper mngt. Which I haven’t ever heard from. Stay away from this company! Go with mayflower or United or any1 else but new leaf. They hire out the moving and driving and they don’t tell you that.New Leaf Moving Group Response

For any of damages, you would need to file a claim that information was provided to you via email on 3/9/2023. New Leaf is a moving broker not a carrier. This is a BROKER, not a moving company, and unfortunately they can hire whatever moving company they want. They hired a company that doubled our estimate (which makes sense because we had more stuff, but when they only do a quote over the phone and don't see what you actually have, it makes sense why they're quoting you low). We waited for FIVE MONTHS for our stuff with so many excuses from the moving company, and no updates from New Leaf- I had to constantly call to try to get any info. Finally we were informed that the moving company STOLE EVERYTHING WE OWNED. This has been a ten month nightmare that we're still fighting. New Leaf gave us our $1400 deposit back, but other than that, we have gotten NOTHING. After months of doing nothing, they started trying to help us contact the mover (who has since gone out of business), but eventually he stopped talking to them and to us and we haven't been able to even get our refund for the move, let alone any compensation whatsoever for the $38,000 worth of stuff that we lost. Once he stopped responding to their calls and ours, New Leaf told us we had to 'pur*** him on our own how we feel is best', and left us on our own to deal with him, even though he is not responding to us either. We have already talked to a lawyer who doesn't think it's worth the time and money it would take us (that we don't have) to *** him, because we could win the case, but if he's not payable, then he doesn't actually have to pay us anything. We would probably just lose more money. I can't believe that New Leaf has left us to deal with this on our own, even though their job as a broker is to be the middle man. When I said it was their responsibility to pay since they hired a scammer, they said New Leaf cannot pay anything for our loss.Do not hire a broker, and definitely don't hire New Leaf. They and the moving company have ruined our lives financially, emotionally and sentimentally forever.New Leaf Moving Group Response

This company is terrible. The New Leaf contract was ignored when their hired mover came and the price doubled. My move was out of state and included time in storage. It took three months to get for my household goods to get here after notified of a delivery date and just about everything was damaged in some way. Shipping boxes were crushed or had holes poked into them and were not securely taped shut. An area rug did not get delivered at all. Someone else's boxes were mixed in with mine and had to be reloaded back onto their truck. To figure out what boxes were mine or not, the boxes were opened and I did not see that they were properly closed again. There didn't seem to be any tracking or identifying system. What a mess. I don't think these people have any idea how to be a moving company. In fact, I many times thought this was all a ****.New Leaf Moving Group Response

I wish I saw these reviews before I used them! Absolutely horrible! The salesman **** is a liar. He told me I'd get Jackson Movers because I did not want American Knights since they had horrible reviews. (I will be adding a negative review for them too.) Anyway, I got American Knights. **** did not write down everything I was moving, so when the movers arrived they charged me $400 more. I asked **** what do I do if there is damage? He said no worries, just call me. Another LIE! The movers picked up my belongings on Nov. 30 and did not deliver them until Jan. 4! There was SO much damage. It looked like they were throwing my stuff around from truck to truck! The boxes arrived with holes and many were smashed. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!New Leaf Moving Group Response
