On Sunday April 7th, 2024 I made an online desk purchase in the outrageous amount of $1322.00, this includes shipping. The estimated shipping date was April 10, 2024...on the Tuesday the 9th I noticed the package was sitting by my garage...I was happy to see it arrived a day early.As my family and I were beginning to unbox the desk we noticed a bunch of dirt spilling out from the bottom of the frayed cardboard box (the desk was on a pallet). As we proceeded to slid the box from the pallet, we noticed that the bottom cardboard protection was badly damaged in several places...as we looked under the bottom side of the box, to our amazement was nothing but shredded cardboard and what looked like rust and dirty debris caked on the bottom side of the product. It looked as if someone tried to scoop-up the box with a forklift (damaging the protective cardboard and them placed it in a puddle of water out in the parking lot...that would explain the rust on the metal bottom of the product. I immediately called the local store to complain and find a solution...like have them bring me an undamaged product and pickup the other one...well, they have to do things the hard way and make life miserable for their customers. I they said I would have to submit a return and wait until it was refunded then I could try again. I submitted the return and was told by two different Office Depot Reps. that someone would be out to pick up the desk on Thursday...I took a day off of work to comply with this return and NO ONE SHOWED UP OR CALLED! After calling in a third time, *******. told me that they are not allowed to call the warehouse to inquire about shipping...I now know the other rep. simply lied to get me off the phone and onto the next call. Now they want me to either miss a 2nd day of work or leave the box outside (not a good idea these days).Office Depot is totally lacking in responsibility and simply leaves their customers to clean up their messes and doesn't even offer to help!Review from Maria L

I signed up for a 30-day free trial of the Business Select Program during a store visit and was told I could cancel during that period without a fee. I went to the website and cancelled a week or two later, but was still charged $49.99 at the end of the 30 days. I called the phone number on the emailed receipt and was put on hold for 32 minutes, then told by a recording to enter a "mailbox number". When I couldn't enter one, the line was disconnected. I found a different phone number online and have now been on the line for 72 minutes trying to get this resolved. After about 31 minutes, I spoke with an agent who took my info, put me on hold again, came back and said she needed to reach out to someone else. I asked if it would be another half hour wait and she said no, but that's what's happened. I'm writing this review while still on hold with the clock still ticking. This seems to be a SCAM. By purposely making it this difficult to cancel, people give up and Office Depot/Office Max keeps the money. BBB, please do something to help consumers stay away from this program and this company! Purchased a desk on 2/16/24 and when it arrived it was damaged and missing one of the set of drawers, called and asked for replacement they said they would take care of it here we are on 3/15/24 and nothing has been done they have been promising that the damaged desk will be picked up since 3/7/24 nope still here, and they will not issue refund until the desk is picked up. After numerous calls and chats about the situation and no resolution will go elsewhere to find the desk.Office Depot, Inc. Response

This is the worst company I have dealt with in a long time. I ordered an office chair that got delivered to the wrong address. Trying to have this resolved was a nightmare of aggravation and dissatisfaction. The worst customer experience ever. Thank you for forwarding our customers complaint. The customer confirmed she did finally get both chairs. She will be returning both chairs and have been refunded for 1 of them already. Once the chairs are picked up today and the return processed she will then be refunded for the other chair. Customer accepts this outcome and I advised h.er to allow 2-10 days to see the refund

MINUS ONE STAR...My computer QUIT...so I took it to get it 'diagnosed' and was told...after a few minutes...that I needed a new Video Card...probable cost? Somewhere north of $****** (parts/ Labor). Because I am a 75 yr. old disabled citizen with a limited income I took my computer home and I got a second opinion from a local computer guy...All he did was take the cover off and we found it was completely covered in DUST...and that the video card couldn't have been replaced because it was soldered to the mother board...rendering the computer un-fixable...so he cleaned the interior...put it back together...and *****...my computer is running like NEW!...not only was I lied to by the Store Mgr.,(He couldn't have opened the case to see the ***** and know that the Video Card was soldered on) it would have cost ****** to then find out I'd Still Have to buy a new computer...which I'm SURE he would have sold me in a FLASH!! So the SO-CALLED FREE diagnosis offer is only a way to rip-off the un-suspecting consumer...Office Depot's Total lack of Integrity, honesty and TRUSTWORTHINESS is staggering ! Recently ordered coffee cream, from Office Depot, When it arrived, I opened the box , got ready to use the cream and noticed on the side label, the expiration date had already passed. They sent me ************** Cream. In addition to the Expired contents they Double charged my card. Enclosed are both transaction records. Please talk to your staff and get it together, for every person like me that will bring this to your attention, are thousands of customers that won't tell you and just shop at other stores and telling others about their negative experiences and to stay away from Office Depot.I am done with Office Depot!Office Depot, Inc. I placed an order online for a piece of furniture that was shipped with their in house carrier. Im away on military orders so the delivery would be received by my spouse. The item was never delivered and someone signed a fake version of my signature in the tracking as if I was there. The first time I suffered through a robo tree to get help I was told a new one would be sent. It never was. I called back, and was told I could be refunded and buy a new one - but the price had gone up. I talked to another person who said Id be refunded, and placed a new order at the correct price with a small discount to make amends. They were supposed to use a different carrier to send it. That one did arrive, but then Office Depot cancelled the refund for the first one again, so I had to contact them again about it. Now theyre supposed to refund me again, and we will see if I have to deal with them a fourth time, which is a time consuming nightmare because you cant get ahold of them and then its just some poor outsourced call center worker anyway. I will never ever do business with this company again, and Im shocked a major retailer does business this way.Office Depot, Inc. Response

They signed me up to a business account without me doing anything last night. I tried calling and all I got was a really frustrating automatic voice recording that ultimately hung up on me and would not put me through to a representative. So I tried texting and doing a live chat but received this message back Due to increased volume, we are experiencing wait times that are much longer than usual. Please try our website or app for self service. However, I could not resolve this issue by myself because I couldnt log into my account to cancel the membership because I dont have an account with them!Anyway, I received an email this morning apologising and telling me that it was done in error so everything is fixed now. However, I wanted to share this because it was a terrible experience and a scary one thinking that such a big business can make such mistakes with the information possess on me. Office Depot fraudulently signed me up for a 'free trial' membership tier of business select that I did not sign up for, one that, when the free trial that I did not sign up for is completed, will begin charging me $49 to my credit card that is in their system for previous purchases. Either their data was compromised (which deserves below a 1/5 star if they're not taking care of customer data), or they're fraudulently signing customers up for services they have not signed up for. Will be deleting my account and requiring my personal data be deleted. If I'm charged, I will be immediately reporting fraud.Review from Kamala P

I bought - Brother HL-L3270 CDW printer at Office Depot. Disappointed with the printer. am able to connect to my laptop, The parts are so bad that they break easily. I did not use the printer for a longtime as I was out of town. Unfortunately. I missed the warrantee period. Horrible printer and I might have wasted more than 5 days trying to make it work. Online help is not useful at all. Totally frustrated with the whole experience.Office Depot, Inc. Response
