JL Closets took my money in September. It's almost January and I still don't have closets. A ton of their employees have quit and left the company. Literally every time they've assigned me a new project manager, the person is "no longer with the company" days later. Every person we've spoken to at JL Closets has thrown the owner under the bus as the main problem that no one can solve. Our project is a total disaster. We paid for closets back at the end of August/ beginning of September. We were told our closet would be finished by the end of September. It's now the end of December, and they're telling us they can't finish our project until Mid-January now. Every time we call them it's a different story.We've heard that the owner is suing former employees, and several employees still working there have told us they haven't been paid in weeks. The owner has been horrible to us throughout this project, refusing to correct mistakes or design issues. Refusing to honor terms of our agreement. The total price of our closets, for two small walk-in closets is $40,000! It's been since September and they still haven't installed 1 closet yet.Every business and every contractor runs into challenges, and it's the business ownership that helps navigate the bumps in the road. The owner of this company clearly isn't involved in this business in a proactive way. He's upsetting the customers. He's upsetting the employees. He's made irrational decisions throughout this entire project that continue to needlessly delay the completion of the installation. We were promised this project would be finished by end of Sept. Then it was promised to be done by Thanksgiving. Then by Christmas. Now they're pushing us off till next year. I've asked for my money back about a dozen times throughout this nightmare and he won't refund us. We have no desire to let this train wreck continue. We want off! This has been horrible, and it continues to be a disaster.
