Was skeptical with committing to a company that performs solar installations due to mixed reviews in general. After seeing their ****** reviews with picture proof that eased my final decision. All in all Rack got the job done and was very communicative through the whole process. The turnaround time will vary on your city/county, but thats to be expected especially in Miami Dade. They took over Energized electric last year. They sent me a letter that they will continue service on my gas generator. I renewed with them the service plan of over $355.00 for a year. they did not tell me that this did not include excessive service charges in addition to this plan. Yesterday my gas generator would not continue on its weekly power up. they came made ****************** to the governor and charged me $295.00 . Then told me it ***** of been $395.00 for non members. A call to 2 generators companies who told me this would have been $95.00. I feel as a senior citizen i was taken.Review from Jeff M

I contracted Rack Electric for the maintenance of my generator at home, a service that is crucial especially during hurricane season. Unfortunately, my experience has been less than satisfactory. The last service was scheduled for **** and it is now August 29, and I am still dealing with cancellations and rescheduling. Despite multiple appointments scheduled, the company consistently failed to show up and fulfill the services as per the agreement. Even after acknowledging their mistake and rescheduling, I received another call to reschedule again. It has been a cycle of disappointments, and I fear what would happen if a hurricane was approaching or had hit; I doubt anyone would show up. As a result, I have requested a refund for the unprovided services and termination of the contract. The unreliability and lack of professionalism have caused me considerable inconvenience, and I cannot recommend their services.Review from Gina K

We signed a contract for a $15k generator installation with Rack Electric in June 2022. Nothing was started or worked on for many months. We began calling and emailed for status and ETA with little to no responses until July 2023, a full year later, when we called to say we wanted to cancel and get our deposit back. The ** called us back then and advised they would escalate permits for an expedited install given the very long delay and that we would not be charged for those.After 14 months, the generator finally got installed. **** then had the nerve to invice us for ANOTHER $1700, permit fees primarily. We even paid $1,000 of that to be as amenable as possible and yet they still say they expect the rest of the invoice which should never have been billed in the first place.**** does not do what they say, they take VERY long to get work done, and then they over bill. Do NOT use this company.I will note that the workers themselves are professional and do a good job on site when they can finally show up.Review from Cathy S

Rack Electric contacts you that your generator will need 2 service appointments for the year. ******** explained to me how important it is to have these maintenance appointments. I mailed my check for the payment of both services. I called to ask if she received the check and she she said we cant schedule the appointment to they receive the check. They schedule my appointment for 2/15/2023. The night before they cancel and ask if they can come 2/22/2023. I said fine. That day I called around 1:00pm to see if they were coming and they said I was on the schedule. 4:45 pm I call again and they were still at another appointment. They never called to tell me they werent coming. Called and spoke to ***** and he said he would call me back after he spoke to dispatch. Never called my husband kept call Hatem and he finally gave him a date of March 14th. They wanted the check but no rush to provide the service. I guess they werent worried about the generator.
