I made an over the phone purchase on February 19, 2025, credit card payment (never again pay in advance). Expected delivery after manufactured was about the first week of April. Now it is July 12 and still no scooter. They never pick up the phone. They did answer an email back in March regarding shipping details. I had my wife call the sales number because my voice message were left unreturned and I thought a new phone number might instigate a response. It did. At the time, end of April, early May, the sales *** said problems with supply chain and changes in trarrif was causing problems. Sounded reasonable at the time. However about a half a dozen emails and two more phone calls have yielded no replies. There website is still up and running. They have a way to instigate an order. Can't say its accepting orders and taking money, but they got my money and no product. No intention. Here is the website. ********************************************* I am calling the Florida Attorney General's Fraud investigation tomorrow.

We've been waiting for 5 months for a battery for our new scooter purchased in dec 2024. We received the scooter, but no battery, and wrong front tire. Called numerous times, send numerous emails. Filled in numerous technical support form. Nothing yet. A lady called that she was in and out of the office due to health reasons. Told us that we would be on priority list to solve this issue. We called again multilple times, send numerous emails to all the departemts, filled in more techical support forms, NOTHING! On their website page, they state that they have an A+ accredited rating with the BBB. THis is so frustrating. Having ** and needing this mobility aid does not help my stress level, neither my health. Hope this can help us resolve this issu faster or even hear from someone from Tirad electic vehicule at some point.

I ordered a scooter on January 28th, 2025. It is now April 30th, and I havent even been contacted about it being shipped. The website says allow ***** days for delivery, its now been 92 days!!! More than double the amount of time specified. I tried to contact them, and the reply was - due to weather and California fires, there is a delay. I dont think weather is keeping any other goods from entering or leaving the country. Certainly not for 45 days! I am very unhappy with Triad and would absolutely not ever recommend purchasing from them.

I've had my Triad for a few months now, and I'm still amazed at how much I love it. It's not just a mode of transportation; it's a joy to drive. The customer support is top-notch, and they've been incredibly helpful with any questions I've had. If you're considering an electric vehicle, I highly recommend giving Triad a try.

I love my Triad! I have MS and can't walk well but this machine gets me where I want to go. I had the 750 and it had too much front wheel spin. The rear wheel drive 1,000 is amazing! I'd recommend it to people that can handle it. It's an active participation sport, not a wheelchair.

My scooter arrived at least 1 month later than anticipated. I had to email multiple times as they are in ***** and there is no other way to contact them. Amazing since I ordered it through a person who spoke perfect English but was obviously just a 3rd party representative. After it shipped it was again delayed due to the battery in the remote not being compliant with the shipper, which is highly unlikely. It worked fine when I got it assembled, but over the winter the battery completely died. These are primarily disability scooters, so why the battery does not provide a warning on the app I can never explain. According to them the battery is so super intelligent, but really it is the $29 BMS available from ***** that does the communicating, and its rather poor at that. Anyway, a new battery supposedly costs $900 and I would have had to wait for them to order another production run from their supplier. No way Im paying $900 for a battery. Found a lithium battery online for $170 that has more amp hours and works perfectly. About 2 months after contacting them about the battery they suddenly send an email that batteries are 33% off and that they understand that disabled folks may have had battery failures due to cold weather and being unable to plug them in to maintain the 70% charge but do not leave the battery plugged in for more than 4-6 hours or that will also destroy the battery. In short, these are pretty generic models that Triad sups up with a few modifications, but nothing worth more than any other company selling this same looking scooter. Save your $ and buy the cheapest one you can knowing you will have to replace it or the battery at some point

    Dear **** ,

Thank you so very much for your honest review on the BBB. This gives us a great opportunity to educate every person in a public forum that *** feel they agree with you at this moment before they read this response in its entirety to understand just how much risk you have put yourself in for a potential catastrophic electrical malfunction by choosing an aftermarket battery that is not designed or engineered for the use in your vehicle.

It is very important to understand what ************ has done by modifying the vehicle outside the manufacturers recommendations with the use of an aftermarket battery.  Not only has he jeopardized the safety of the operations of the vehicle, in this situation he has put himself and ***be others at extraordinary risk for self-inflicted catastrophic incidents. He is dangerously advocating for others to do the same as what he has done without a full education of all the dangers; and this review advocates a high risk for potential loss of life and property to anyone else who *** choose act the same as him.

The battery that we manufacture is not the same cell type that is commonly sold online. Our battery is an automotive grade UL certified dry cell battery that is the same cell type as todays premium electric cars. It is not a LiPo battery, it is not a LiFePO4 battery.

************ is right, the proprietary Triad dry cell battery technology is significantly more expensive than the LiPo and LiFePO4 batteries that are common in todays E bikes and mobility scooters and we choose it because it is proven to be safer and has higher recharge cycles for longer value versus LiPo and LiFePO4 batteries which by contrast have lower charge cycles and higher volatility. The Triad battery is designed for the Triad vehicle, because it is safer and it lasts longer.

Yes, ************ is right, LiPo and LiFePO4 batteries are significantly less expensive because those products do not contain expensive or quality **** Often times the seller *** use the term *** and lead you to believe there is a ***, but in reality, its nothing but a simple chip that transfers micro voltages to the individual cells. That is not a *** system at all. That chip is outdated technology from over ***************************************************************************** the same way that our *** system does. Do not be mistaken. Our touchscreen monitor is not the **** That only a human interface to display the very basics of what our *** does. Our *** are not $29 off the shelf, they are handmade individually, with bespoke engineering for our battery and our *** are programmed to activate in the case of emergency, neglect, damage and improper use.

************, please do not use the charger that was supplied for the Triad battery to charge an aftermarket replacement battery. They are not designed for the same voltage or amperage for charging. Although, in one sense, yes, to a certain degree youre right, it *** work in the short term, but there is no way of knowing exactly what is taking place inside that battery because you are not using the manufactures battery and charger for that vehicle.

When you take a battery that isnt made for the device and use a charger, but the battery wasnt made for, youre putting the wrong voltage into the battery. Yes, it *** work - for now - because you are definitely putting electrical energy into the battery, the thing is, you just dont know how much energy because the electrical continuity is incorrect for the vehicle, for the battery and for the charger. Its a very, very bad decision in our opinion. Not because we want to sell you a battery, because scientifically these variables create heat and heat its going to wear down the wires and when the wires get worn down enough that heat is going to get too hot, and once that battery gets beyond its capacity contain that energy, the energy can no longer be contained. So, we greatly appreciate that you took the time to post this on a public forum for all to read, so they can clearly understand specifically what NOT to do in this situation. We hope you will take this with all the seriousness it deserves. There are new safety controls built into our batteries to avoid the dangers of antiquated expand and capture over voltage techniques.

Now its fair to say that mobility scooter companies or E bikes dont make their own batteries.

But we do make our own batteries, and because we design our own battery specifically for our vehicles, we have a zero-tolerance policy for catastrophic electrical malfunction. It is the single unit Triad clients and customers who benefit from the leading-edge technologies that we put into our battery technology for high end industrial clients so that in the case of neglect or misuse, the battery shuts down for safety.

We do this for a number of reasons. User safety is absolutely critical. Not everyone takes perfect care of their batteries. We know this and we plan for this. But it is also of utmost importance to know how the batteries are built. There are no shortcuts and no compromise for safety. The latest scientific breakthroughs in automotive batteries are just being discovered in the past 2 years, and we make our batteries so that we can implement the latest safety technologies into each battery year over year, as soon as it is ready for commercial application. Yes, again, you are right. It is more costly.

Another serious problem is for the past 20 years the United States has been importing millions of counterfeit LiPo and LiFePO4 batteries and its a prolific and dangerous issue that most people are completely unaware of.

When buying and purchasing those batteries you see online that arent very expensive, its highly likely that some or all those cells that are inside there are actually recycled cells from used equipment overseas that have been removed from other products and re-packaged as new batteries and shipped for resale to unwitting US consumers.

Yes, we offered a discount to you for this battery production cycle right now because there is a higher than normal volume of batteries in production at this time due to multiple current market factors. Volume fleet orders and many replacement batteries are aging out from 2016 and 2017 this year creating a momentary spike in demand. It does not mean that the average price is lower at all times. When a larger company comes in and purchases high volume, we are able to discount a single unit cost of that item to all clients as a courtesy and pass along savings as a direct benefit.

Additionally, its important that you clearly understand that we are a direct manufacturer, and we build our products based on volume according to our design and engineering. The products you see on the market that look similar do not have the same components and they are not the same. The discounts and sales that you see are based on our volume manufacturing and shipping of our products. Competitors products are not used in fleets, because only our vehicles and batteries are certified to exceed their use and safety standards. Our battery exceeds industrial safety standards for years of daily operations. The aftermarket battery you purchased and are using by contrast comes at lower price, but the cost also comes with a high degree of certainty to cause a serious safety problem under rigorous daily use.

It is also importance for you to know that we own on the intellectual property of our motor design overseas in order to protect our legal intellectual property rights at the manufacturing level at origin. And the other products that look very similar to ours dont use the same components or motors that we use. They are over amplified, and they draw more power because they amplify the computer controller to make them try to compete for power, but they cant use the same motor to conform to the legal limit. So they use a lot of marketing jargon to confuse the marketplace. They rate their motors on peak power, and we rate our motors on the current power rating. This is a huge difference. Our batteries are built specifically to operate for Triad peak power, which is three times more power than similar looking products in the marketplace. For example, if they tell you that their motor is an 800W motor its really a 270W motor amplified three times. Our 750W motor for example has a peak output of 2250W in order to maintain electrical continuity and keep the heat out of the components, and they are using components for a 270W motor and advancing the stall current of the motor to peak out at 810W. Not the same by any measure.

I hope I have clearly explained the reasons why the Triad battery is more expensive than the other batteries that are out there, and the dangers of the electrical issues they *** cause when modifying the vehicle outside the manufacturers recommendations.

I would urge you in all seriousness to discontinue the use of that product immediately.

Lastly, of course, we do want to leave you with a reminder of these important practices should you choose to continue to use the product after modifying the item outside the manufacturer original equipment.

It is extremely important that you never leave a charger connected to a lithium battery beyond its maximum charging time, and always remove it before or from the battery immediately once the charge cycle is completed. Lithium batteries do not accept float charges and they do not accept trickle charges.

Repetitive charging of a full battery will create too much heat from the electrical current and the battery cells will not have enough time in-between charges to discharge below maximum capacity, balance or cool down. Improper charging practices and negligent battery maintenance can lead to electrical malfunction. The *** in the *** Triad battery is engineered to prevent this from occurring and *** lock the battery from being able to be used during improper charging practices, damage or neglect. Thank you everyone for reading this response in its entirety and we hope we have provided enough information to begin to understand the basics of battery safety.

Over the past 8 years we have had a total of 4 Triads. We drive multiple times a week and we love them. My wife has a health condition and we got her Triad to give her back some independence. I got mine just to keep up! We donated the first 2 we had once we got new ones this year and everyone is really happy about it. We do drive them a lot. 10-15 miles when we go out for our fun runs a couple times a week. Triad has been great to work with and we really enjoy our scooters.

I have had my scooter for almost 3 years. I love it. It does exactly what I purchased it for. There were some issues when I received my scooter, but Triad immediately addressed these and got them fixed.

With our 2 trikes we got exactly what we wanted and the quality was worth it. I haven’t put a penny into these Triads in over 4 years and they both run great like new. We had to wait for a much larger volume order to be finished before we got them but they are fantastic. Love them

First of all I want to thank you for listening to me when I told you that I have special requirements for my personal mobility. The modifications you made for me for free allow me to use the scooter better than anything. I have limited use of my right hand and right leg, and you moved the throttle to the left and put the brake on the left side which allows me to use it every day. I know that the country in a bad way right now, and it took longer to get than anticipated but you make the best product and it was totally worth the wait. Thank you for giving me my life back. It is so much fun everyday to be free and be independent. I can go out with my grandkids, and take myself to the store and be a part of my family life without being left behind. I am so grateful for this machine. I call it the Red Rocket! I am also able to get back to doing notary services again in a 5 mile area near my home which is helping my family. Something I had to give up some years ago when I couldnt drive anymore. I can work again and people love my mobile service! I love it and Triad has truly changed my life. Definitely worth it. Thank you.
