INVESTIGATIVE RECOVERY SERVICES is using illegal tactics to try to get money from a loan I know nothing about. I called them back to ask them what was this about. So, when they ask me for my SSN, I refuse to give it to them. They stated that since I refused to give them my SSN, legal papers will be served to my locationInitial Complaint

Ive never take out a loan from this company ever. When I called the info they provided was inaccurate. The timeline they produced was also inaccurate. They have failed to produce documentation from the original creditor. produce. This is a fraudulent claim and I have never done business with them and I do not owe the debt they claim.There are multiple other complaints with the same MO listed. This company has placed a collections and failure to pay on my Experian credit report in the amount of $808.00. They have fabricated the dates of this account being opened and all the payments made and missed. I did do business with a company with a similar name of the original creditor, but this was over 10 years ago. There are many complaints filed against this company with very similar circumstances. This company has placed a fraudulent payday loan on my Experian credit report. I have called them and asked the account be removed. I have asked for confirmation of the original debt which they can't provide because it doesn't exist. They have been calling me nonstop. I called back today and reiterated this is a fraudulent claim and needs to be removed. I was told the manager will come in this evening and review my claim. This is crazy, I filed a claim with the *** and with Experian, now with BBB. I need this removed and corrected immediately. I'm going to seek legal council if I can't get this removed this month. Experian needs to do a better job vetting thier credit information.Initial Complaint

This business is trying to collect money from me on behalf of "National Web Loan" who I have NEVER done business with. I am very cautious about my credit score as I'm trying to purchase a home for the first time and this FAKE scam is hurting my credit score. I have tried to file a dispute with Experian (The ONLY credit bureau they reported to) and it has gotten me nowhere. I have asked for supporting documents and have gotten NO response (because they don't exist!) And I am disgusted with the ability for a company whom I have never done business with to be able to damage my good name and credit. I see a LOT of other people have gone through the same thing with this company and hopefully someone starts a class action lawsuit.Initial Complaint

On 6/15/2022 I checked my Experian credit report and found a collections account from Investigative Recovery Services in the amount of $630. This collection is showing that I took a loan on 10/9/2020 and the original creditor is showing as Advance Cash Loan Services. I disputed this collection through Experian however Investigative Recovery Services told Experian that the information is correct therefore the collections account remains on my credit report. I did not take out this loan nor have I EVER interacted with either Advance Cash Loan Services or Investigative Recovery Services. This company needs to be looked into and criminal charges pursued based on the fraud that is occurring. This is obviously a scam and needs to be stopped. As this collection is NOT mine, it needs to be removed from my credit report.Initial Complaint

On June 14, 2022 I applied for a debt consolidation loan through my credit union. Upon them pulling my Experian credit report, there was a collection account from Investigative Recovery in the amount of $440. I have never received anything in writing from this company, and I do not recognize the original creditor of Advance Cash Loan Services because I have never done business with them. Please remove this item from my credit report.
