We have contacted affordable housing several times in regard to our free account which we can not access. We were charged for an upgrade on our account that we thought we had clicked on the do not upgrade, continue or charge. We were charged on Jan.3rd and on Jan.6th I contacted to cancel the pro upgrade. I spoke with a lady at length and she issued a refund.A couple weeks later we were locked out of the account and repeatedly called the phone number suggested but never could get through and our messages went unanswered. Now I am told that we must repay the charge that was refunded to us. How is it that we should repay a refund and be locked out of our free account? This is now and has been affecting our business.Business Response

1. The website advertised $49.00 for one month for the plan I chose, but when I paid the invoice showed it to be $79.00 2. I used it to advertise for the rental unit, to have renters contact me, but I have not even received one phone call during the month that I paid for.3. When I tried to use the site's potential renters pool, I only used one time, and it said I reached the quota already.4. When I tried to log in to the site, it blocked my access.Business Response

Affordablehousing/section8.com has been charging my account 79 dollars for the past 6 months for a total of $474 dollars. I subscribed for one month on August 21 and then unsubscribed. They have been billing me for 5 months and I was not sent any kind of notifications via email. I reviewed my paypal statement and saw the reoccuring charges. I then reached out to Affordable housing network and spoke with a manager. She said they would only refund me $79 for the month of January and quickly rushed me off the phone.I did not authorize and unsubscribed from their services. They stated that my listing was put in active status in September and yet they continued to bill me. I want a refund on my monies. If I am not using your services why continue to bill me? This is predatory. If they are refunding me $79 dollars. They owe me $316 dollars for four months.Business Response

I had a rental property. Buyer beware, I subscribed to the service. Then I tried to cancel the subscription. I was charged $177.00 for a three month renewal. I called and cancelled. I emailed several time with no response. I was finally able to reach someone today and I asked that I either be refunded in full or prorated because I did not cancel on the site which is very slow not responsive and full of click bait ads. Someone could have at least answered my multiple phone calls and email messages on the app and explain what I had to do. This is ridiculous. I have other properties to rent. However, you don't have to worry about me using this site again. This is a shame because a lot of people need housing right now.Business Response
