I would not take any vehicles here for repairs. The out a new ignition switch in and it was not lined up properly! We took it back to them and they told us nothing as wrong with it. The truck would not shut off properly, as the ignition switch was not set properly, and if we did not see that is was on, we have a dead battery which we had to buy 3 batteries and then got a kill switch.They told us nothing was wrong with it, but after installing the kill switch, we have not had a dead battery yet.Bridges Auto Repair and Electric Response

We are sorry you feel this way, we did advise to bring the truck back up. so we could look at it, again, this is a older truck that was not driven much that's why the battery would die.Review from catherine y

4/25/2023 Went for an oil change. The next day my car seized up. Would not turn R or L & I thank god I was not on the highway. Was able to Park the car and all the oil leaked out and burned off. Called the store and they recommended I pay to have it towed back and they would look and see what "went wrong". They told me it was a defective oil filter and did another oil change. They would not reimburse me for the tow but instead offered me my next oil change for free. ( like I would go back after this experience). That is poor customer service. An oil change costs them nothing but the tow, my time, my gas was 200$. They didn't even ask if I was okay ? I was so shaken by the experience it was difficult to focus at work the entire day. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AND IF THAT IS THEIR BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE SHAME ON THEM !!!Bridges Auto Repair and Electric Response

WE WHERE SORRY THAT THIS HAPPEN TO YOU..YOU CALLED AT 6:55 AM AND WAS YELLING AT ME.WE ARE A SMALL COMPANY. YOU PAID $128.75 FOR YOUR OIL CHANGE.WE CAN NOT GIVE CASH OR CREIDT BACK. THATS WHY WE OFFERED YOU YOUR NEXT OIL CHANGE FOR FREE.. @128.75 YOUR TOW BILL WAS $161.00 .. THAT LEAVES $32.25 OUT OF POCKET... WE ALSO USED 4 CANS OF CLEANER TO MAKE SURE THE *** WAS CLEANED OF ALL OILS.. IT WAS A DEFECTIVE OIL FILTER.. SORRY BUT THIS DOES HAPPEN..Review from CHARLES J

I entered into an agreement with this company to determine what was wrong with my car and what it will cost to repair it. It was scheduled for repair on 07/25/2022. 7 days later they stated that it had jumped time and the timing chain needed to be replaced at a cost of $1,574.40: after I had been calling to check on the repairs. I had to pay $787.40 up front for repairs to begin. I continued to call the second week. at the end of week 2 I called and stated that if they weren't going to make the repairs, I was going remove my car from their business. The owner of the business called me back and spoke to me in a very unprofessional manner and lastly, he stated not to push him about my car, and I'll be lucky If I get it back by the end of the week which I didn't, then he hung up on me. 3 weeks passed and on 08/12/2022, the owner of the business called, and stated that my car needed additional repairs and it would cost me an additional 2 $2,620.85 to do the work. I didn't agree with the quote because I no longer trusted this business to do the right thing. I had to pay an additional $658.00 on 08/15/2022 to retrieve my car and I had to tow it because it wasn't repaired as agreed. His hourly rate is on the extreme high side along with the price of parts. I don't recommend this business to anyone wanting a fair price for work done trust and honesty.Bridges Auto Repair and Electric Response

MR ******** CAR ARRIVED ON THE EVENING OF 7/24/2022. I CAME IN THE MORNING OF 7/25 TO ***************** STANDING AT THE COUNTER BERATING MY OFFICE MANAGER, DUE TO THE **** HIS CAR WAS LEFT OUT OVERNIGHT. I INTERVENED AND INFORMED ***************** THAT THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES THAT VEHICLES COULD BE STORED INSIDE OVERNIGHT. ***************** LEFT AND WE PERFORMED DIAGNOSTICS LATER THAT AFTERNOON. THE FOLLOWING MORNING 7/26 ***************** CALLED , AGAIN UPSET THAT NO ONE HAD CALLED HIM TO INFORM HIM OF THE DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS ON HIS VEHICLE. I INFORMED HIM THAT WE HAD STARTED LATER THAN PLANNED AND ******** WOULD BE COMPLETED SHORTLY.. ***************** WAS CALLED APPROX AN HOUR LATER AND INFORMED THAT ALL MAJOR SYSTEMS WERE OPERATING PROPERLY AND WE SUSPECTED MECHANICAL FAILURE. WE REQUSTED AN ADDITIONAL HOUR OF TIME TO GO FURTHER WHICH ***************** AUTHORIZED. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE ***** ***** HAD JUMPED APROX 75deg. (4 TEETH). I CALLED ***************** WITH AN ESTIMATE WHICH HE APPROVED. I INFORMED HIM THAT THE TIMING ***** SET WAS NOT AVAILABLE THROUGH NORMAL VENDORS AND IT WOULD BE SPECIAL ORDER THROUGH AN OUTSIDE VENDOR. WE REQUIRE A DEPSOSIT IN THE AMOUNT OF THE PARTS ON ALL SPECIAL ORDERS. THE PARTS ARRIVED APPROX 4 DAYS LATER AND WE COMMENCED WORK. AFTER TEAR DOWN IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE PARTS ORDERED WERE INCORRECT. WE IMMEDIATLY LOCATED THE CORRECT PARTS AND ORDERED THEM. AN ADDITIONAL 4 DAYS WENT BY BEFORE RECIEVEING THE CORRECT PARTS. DURING THIS TIME *************** CALLED ALMOST DAILY TILL I INFORMED THAT I WOULD CALL HIM WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS COMPLETE. DURING ALL THIS TIME HIS VEHICLE OCCUPIED ONE OF MY BAYS DUE TO US NOT BEING ABLE TO PUT IT OUTSIDE.AFTER REPAIRS WERE COMPLETED IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE ENGINE HAD EXPERIENCED INTERNAL VALVE DAMAGE DUE TO THE AMOUNT OF TEETH THAT THE ***** HAD JUMPED. ***** 5.7 L ENGINES ARE AN INTERFERENCE ENGINE. THIS MEANS THAT IF THE ENGINE JUMPS TIME TO FAR THE VALVES AND PISTONS WILL COLLIDE. ALL REPAIRS DONE TO THE VEHICLE WOULD HAVE BEEN NECESSARY EVEN IF THIS HAD BEEN DISCOVERED PRIOR TO REPAIRS. *************** INSISTS THAT THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED DUE TO THE LOW MILEAGE ON THIS VEHICLE. THIS CONDITION WAS COMMON ON THESE VEHICLES DUE TO A DESIGN FLAW FROM THE ****ORY REGARDING THE TIMING CAHINS. THE CAMSHAFT ****S IN THESE CARS WERE STAMPED ALUMINUM COATED WITH A NYLON COVERING. THEY WERE AN EXTREMELY COMMON FAILURE WITH THESE ENGINES MANU****URED WITH THESE ****S. I SUSPECT THAT THE AGE OF THIS VEHICLE WAS THE CONTRIBUTING ****OR TO FAILURE IN THIS CASE. NYLON CRACKS AND SHRINKS WITH AGE WHICH FALLS OFF EXPOSING THE ALUMINUM **** WHICH WILL WEAR EXTREMELY FAST DUE TO A STEEL TIMING *****. THIS IS APPARENT IN THE **** WHICH WAS RETURNED TO *****************, IN REGARDS TO THE COST, OUR LABOR RATE IS $120 AN HOUR WHICH IS COMPARABLE TO ANY INDEPENDENT SHOP IN A 5 MILE RADIUS. ALL LABOR HOURS ARE TAKEN DIRECTLY FROM THE ******** LABOR GUIDE AND IS CHARGED ACCORDINGLY. WE FEEL WE DID NOTHING WRONG AND ALL REPAIRS WERE NEEDED REGARDLESS OF THE END RESULT .THANK YOU FOR GIVING US A CHANCE TO RESPOND.Customer Response

This is in response to the business reply to the review on 08/18/2022. His reply isn't true. My car was brought in at **** on 07/25/2022, as scheduled by them. Instead of conducting an analysis to determine what was wrong it was left beside the roadway but on his property. I asked them not leave it outside because it is a highly sought-after car and is susceptible to theft. The car's engine is a 5.0 not 5.7L was left outside by the roadway after they closed for day. I put cover on it instead of taking it back home. The next day 07/26/2022, I went back to the shop, removed the cover and went inside the office. This was my first contact with the shop owner. I wasn't berating the office manager as he accused me of. I was inquiring about my car being left outside next to the roadway and he interjected himself and stated they couldn't guarantee the car would be put inside. I stated to him that if I knew they weren't going to begin work on my car as scheduled I could have left it at until they can get to it. He didn't like my reply and stated that they do the best they can. 7 days passed with no contact from them. On 08/01/2022, I went back to the shop to inquire about my car, one of the employees stated it was top priority and would be getting on it. On08/08/2022, I called back and I stated to the office manager that if they weren't going to repair my car I was going to remove it from the shop. The owner called me the same day and began berating me and stated that by the the wrong part was delivered and they must re-order it and I will be lucky if I get back by Friday 08/12/2022. He concluded by saying don't push me and hung up on me. His tone loud, angry and very unprofessional. He promised my wife it would be ready on 08/12/2022. It wasn't instead he wanted an additional ******** to complete repairs. I declined due a loss of trust in him. He had my car 3 weeks and it doesn't take that long to replace a timing chain. I'm out ******* and a still broken down car.
