Recently I noticed a charge from WinZip on my credit card. I checked my email to see if I had any kind of confirmation email for this supposedly "recurring" charge and all I found was an email with an ad asking me to download the software for free. I have checked my system and I do not have any software downloaded. All I can think of is that occasionally I get other people's attachment on WinZip. I have written to them twice to no avail. What I don't understand is how they have my credit card number. I see from former complaints that this is a problem with this company. I want a complete refund.

I have a continuing subscription with Winzip and I renewed it in August of this year. But, when I try to open any Winzip files, I get a dialog box popping up telling me that my 2 week subscription has expired and that I need to pay $54 to open said files. I have gone to the company website as well as via my email where all transactions and technical issues are communicated, I sent an email through the company website and no response thus far. I also used the Winzip help email and emailed for help regarding this issue. Thus far no response from that either. Normally, I would receive an acknowledgement email that I have contacted them. I have not go that response either. Any help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Winzip did respond yesterday and acknowledged that amount was fully paid for subscription and they emailed me the access code credentials and registration. As of today, this matter is resolved.

      Sincerely,

      ******* ** ******

P.S: They did apologize for the delay.

Winzip Utilities has charged my credit card for a product I did not order! I requested they immediately put the money back on my credit card but I have not heard back from them. The receipt for the product is attached.

I wasn't paying attention and downloading an unrelated program - suddnly winzip with its popups started popping... every few minutes... telling me I needed to use an evaluation version or buy their app. No problem, says I. I will simply uninstall it since I never wanted it. First it refused to uninstall cause "some component was active". After I tried again and got it to uninstall, I was stunned to turn on my computer and still get this idiotic pop up. I had to take time out of my business day to figure out how not to have this stupid popup from a program I didn't even want harassing the hell out of me. This is intrusive, sleazy, and not at all acceptable.

I responded to an ad that claimed their product would fix my issues if outdated drivers as that was the problem according to their free check up on my desk top PC. I paid the fee to supposedly fix the problem and ever since I downloaded the winzip program I am inundated with ads popping up on my screen when I'm trying to use my PC. Also, the updater never worked and keeps saying there are other problems and I need to purchase more software to fix the new issues supposedly discovered by their free version of software I never downloaded to begin with, to my knowledge at least. I requested money back but they claim they have no proof with my name and other information that I purchased the product but sent me a link to cancel future payments. I am very frustrated with ad tactics that cause fear and cost more money to make the previous software work better. It's tech abuse at best and extortion. It shouldn't be allowed on any platform.

ON 5/16/22 I purchased an updated version of ******. I was charged and sent a registration code. The code says it is invalid. I have opened 3 support tickets and e-mailed multiple times explaining the situation and as of today I still cannot use the software I paid for. Attached is a copy of all the communications I have sent them. I have not got a single reply other than saying via auto reply that I must submit via their support website, which I have done 3 times! I cannot be the only one that is having this issue. I feel ****** is committing fraud here by charging for a service and then not providing it. The cost is minimal so most people probably just pay them the $30-50 again. I simply want the software that I paid for.

I don’t remember purchasing this product but it opens every time I start my computer. I can’t get it to close because my mouse disappeared April 1st when I started to update my system. Because winzip is constantly running in the background, I can’t recover my mouse or anything else. I have contacted the company through email and tech orders, but never got a response. There is no way to get human contact but I did leave a message on the phone your site provided. I read other complaints and it seems like this happens a lot do I don’t know if a complaint will do any good , but I do think they should be held accountable for their shoddy product and service.

On January 13, 2022 I bought WinZip System Utilities Suite (Reference Code ********* which I installed on my **** Desktop PC (Service Tag '711XJD3'. On January 23, 2022 I received an e-mail from WinZip through ************ that they had charged my Credit Card for the same service i bought on January 13. I challenged this with my original proof of purchase, and they rescinded the second charge to my Credit Card. Beginning on Wednesday February 2, 2022 I cannot use my Original Service because WinZip blocks it by asking me again to purchase the Identical item I bought on January 13, 2022. I challenged this and they tell me that the first purchase was installed on a different computer. I have One (1) computer, a **** Desktop PC which I purchased from **** in October of 2021. Please help me clear this up. I am 88 years old and not a Tech savvy person. I need my computer to connect with friends and relatives and to pursue my Ancient African studies.
