          Advertising Review
          In December 2023, BBB contacted Smile Sensations regarding claims in its advertising.

          Its website includes the claims "Smile Sensations offers the best price in town on Invisalign Braces" and "Best pricing in Fairfield & Westchester County."  According to the BBB Code of Advertising, such 'best price' claims can be tested and proven true or false. However, because it is difficult to keep a constant and up-to-date tally of all prices from all competitors, BBB suggested that the business discontinue or modify this type of claim but did not receive a response. 

          Its website advertises "Invisalign..As Low as $97 per Month for 36 Months *" and "0% Financing Available As Low as $97 per month for 36 Months. *"  The federal Truth in Lending Act, as well as applicable state and provincial laws, set requirements for clearly and conspicuously disclosing credit terms in advertising.  If an advertisement of closed-end credit contains certain triggering terms, such as the amount of payments or period of repayment,, there are  specific disclosures that must also be stated.  BBB suggested that as an alternative, the business consider stating 'Financing Available.' These claims also include an asterisk that does not appear to reference any additional information.  Information referenced by asterisks must be clearly and conspicuously disclosed.  The business did not make any changes to these claims.

          Its website states "INVISALIGN CLEAR BRACES SPECIAL Only $2,995."  According to the BBB Code of Advertising, sales or price reductions may be used in advertising only if there is a significant reduction from the advertiser's usual and customary price of the products or services offered and the sale is for a limited period of time. If the sale exceeds thirty days, advertisers should be prepared to substantiate that the offering is indeed a valid price reduction and has not become their regular price.  This special offer does not include a start or end date. BBB requested that the business substantiate that this is a valid price reduction and has not become its regular price but did not receive a response.
