I was referred to Neto's by another contractor working on our home in the Summer of 2020. I hired Neto's to refinish hard wood flooring throughout our house and place vinyl flooring in our basement. The process for refinishing the hardwood was a disaster, including several mistakes and delays by Neto's team. Most notably, they applied oil-based finish instead of water-based finish and needed to redo the entire house. In addition, they stained two steps too dark and refused to correct the mistake, even after I sent multiple messages with pictures. Once they had their payment, they never responded again Regarding the basement flooring, they used cheap tongue and groove boards that were supposed to be easily removed if needed (i.e. if there was water in the basement, etc). They were to start work in July 2020 and drove to my house to collect payment up front for supplies, promising to start in one week's time. I had to send messages daily for 6 weeks until I received a reply before they even got started. We then experienced an issue in July 2021 whereby our sump pump broke an we suffered water damage and needed to pull up most of the flooring. Most of the boards snapped/broke while pulling them up, requiring new boards to be placed down. I sent dozens of messages and made phone calls on a daily basis to Neto's to try and find the brand and color of flooring so I could purchase replacement boards. I even offered to let him do the additional work. The only response I received was once he said "I'm in ****** ****, I'll call you tomorrow". This never happened and I continue to follow up. I am stuck with no floor, no way of finding the brand/color and no recourse. Neto's charged me cash and did not provide a receipt, therefore I have no record of the work completed and the actual cost, though I recall the basement alone costing ~$6,700.
