I brought my daughter's vehicle in to VCC in February to fix some front end damage. I was charged approximately $1,650 for the damage and other expenses. The insurance company paid the rest of the thousands of dollars on top of that for the repair. When I went to pick up the car the battery was completely dead. This car had a brand new battery in it from January 2021. Luckily I had made it home but knew that there was an issue since there has been not one problem with the battery and my daughter goes to college and does not drive it for months at a time and not one issue ever starting it up with the new Duralast battery. Someone clearly left the electrical on and killed the battery when making other repairs at VCC. I call up Vernon Collision Center and told them about this and they said come down and they'd take care of it. I'm at work so told them my daughter would be down but she is jumping it and I didn't want her stranded. They said no problem! Problem!!! So my daughter gets there and says she's having problems with them. How is she going to pay for this. What???? So I call and them and I believe it is Ed I spoke with says batteries die all the time. It's not their fault the new battery died. Just a coincidence and they just TESTED it now and said it was down to 20% charge. So he says he's going to do me a favor and contact AutoZone and find out if it's under warranty. Not only does he not do this, he tells my 20 year old daughter to drive over to autozone to take care it and she had to leave the car running so she wouldn't get stranded! Vernon Collision Center owes me $175 that I had to pay right then so she wouldn't be stranded. I have already been reasonable with their shop manager who adamantly claimed this was just a coincidence and not the fact that someone absolutely left the electrical system on in one way or another. If this cannot be resolved shortly with the BBB I will be filing a lawsuit in small claims court. Thank you, GuyBusiness response

I tried to contact Mr. ******* by telephone yesterday (3/16/22) right after I received this complaint. I left Him a message and have not heard back yet. This morning (3/17/22) I sent an email to him with an apology and request at how he would like me to reimburse him his $175.00. I will hopefully hear from him today and we can have this issued put to rest.Customer response
