On 11/26/21 I purchased a gift card from Home Salon valued at 200 (black Friday sale I paid 160). I scheduled a hair appointment for March 2022. On 1/29/22 I received an email from Home Spa stating they would close permanently on 3/26/22. I called, no refunds I would need to use the gift card prior to 3/26/22. I made an appointment for a massage for my mom. When I called on 3/8/22 to see if I might book another haircut appointment, the place had a recording, leave a message to be passed on to your for your stylist, they were closed permanently. I reached out via email to see if I would be able to receive haircuts with my stylist or receive a refund. My scheduled and confirmed appointment was with the owner, the response was "no" to both. From the site I learned they closed as of 2/25/22. No email or opportunity was given for me to use my card earlier. I had no idea they had closed and planned on taking my mom there for my haircut and her massage on 3/18/22 prior to the scheduled permanent closing.Initial Complaint

The owner of this business Ms. A**** has closed unexpectedly leaving many customers with worthless gift cards. Ms. A**** also received a COVID PPP Loan for ******** and recently sold her home for ********. It certainly appears that Ms. A**** was squirreling away as much cash as possible before closing her business and leaving many loyal customers out of hard earned money. This is shameful and modern day thievery.
