MSI doesnt budget appropriately, they squander money and when they realize how low their reserves get they raise the *** fee by over $100 each time. They cant keep up with regular maintenance and that causes bigger issues to arise on the properties. They also pick and choose who to fine for decorations and items kept on front lawns and patios. They invade residents privacy, theyll renovate your fences and take feet away from your property, they try to reclassify the housing from one form to another(condos vs townhomes). They hide their *** meeting building so that residents are discouraged from going to meetings. Just hold them outside on the property so that everyone can attend. They make it incredibly hard for the elderly and the disabled to afford their constantly raising fees and its almost impossible for those same residents to attend *** meetings. MSI needs their BBB accreditation revoked and they need to be shut down.MSI, LLC Response

Your review provides no information at all as to what community you live in or if indeed it is a community we manage. Regardless, we manage owners associations, which means that all of the issues you list are the responsibility of your elected board of directors. We do communicate on behalf of most of the community boards we serve, but the authority for all decisions rests with those boards, not with MSI. -*******************, President.Review from Bri Q

Unfortunately, my recent experience with Park It Right at Autumn Creek Condominiums has left much to be desired. Despite being a resident, I was blindsided by the sudden implementation of permit parking regulations, which apparently now include booting and towing cars. To make matters worse, it seems like even when residents have followed the rules and registered their vehicles, there's still a high chance of getting booted unjustly. I've heard firsthand from a neighbor who had all the right documentation, yet her car ended up being immobilized.Furthermore, the dissatisfaction with the way Autumn Creek has been maintained adds to the frustration. The lack of snow removal in some areas and the trash scattered throughout the community demonstrates a broader disconnect between the board's decisions and the community's sentiments. This whole ordeal sheds light on MSI and the Elected Executive Board's poor management of the property. It's disappointing to see such disregard for the residents' convenience and well-being. Moving forward, you can improve their communication and enforcement methods to prevent further frustration and inconvenience for everyone involved.MSI, LLC Response

We understand that parking enforcement, although a necessity in a condominium community, can be frustrating. However, it simply isnt accurate that your elected board blindsided the community with the new parking enforcement. Two community-wide meetings were advertised and held discussing the parking enforcement plan, and those were followed by 10 different blast emails and community website posts warning of the plan before the enforcement began. You are also still openly invited, as any homeowner in the community is, to attend community board meetings to comment as well. -*******************, President.Review from Michelle W

Exceedingly poor communication! When submitting a request to MSI the numerous requirements for making a request are withheld from the home owner or not sufficiently described, therefore, countless denials ase issued as MSI gives the home owner another single clue to what the next elusive requirement might be. It's a time consuming guessing game that threatens the fruition of a project. For example consuming time can eat up an entire season when building can take place. The delays can be financially harmful to the home owner and contractors. It is a needless misuse of power.Review from Jim C

We have had MSI be the property manger for multiple properties we have owned. They seem to always resort to threatening community members. MSI should be avoided, as well as their community member, ***********************. **** only wants to harasses community members and try to threaten themMSI, LLC Response

The notices you are receiving are being sent on behalf of the elected board of directors for your HOA, and are in compliance with both state statute and HOA policy. You would be receiving the compliance notices being sent to you for improperly stored items regardless of whether MSI was your community management company, or another firm. I do strongly recommend getting involved in your HOA and attending meetings if you object to community policy and rules. Killing the messenger for the message with this posted complaint is not the solution. -*******************, President.Review from Daniel L

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!I must say, my experience with this HOA Management company has been nothing short of appalling. It's a sheer display of unprofessionalism coupled with a horrendous approach to customer service.Their Property Manager, *******************, is alarmingly inexperienced and utterly clueless when it comes to his role. His customer service skills are non-existent, and his empty promises are as infuriating as they are disappointing. Our HOA oversees 210 townhouses, and we have unfortunately entrusted them to MSI. The homeowners under our association are livid and frustrated due to the abhorrent disregard, and what can only be described as an egregious mishandling of our HOA funds.MSI, LLC Response

******, this is certainly the most civil communication we have seen from you as my staff has become accustomed to profanity and yelling from your phone calls, primarily. Between all of that very unconstructive conversations are attempts to clarify what the association is responsible for at your home, and what the builder and/or you are responsible for as your assumptions on both are not correct. We will continue to work with the community on issues related to the association common issues, and certainly prefer that you aim issues related to your home through the proper channel to the builder for warranty follow-up. Please do try to keep on mind while doing so that MSI has nothing to do with any construction issues related to your home. -*******************, President.Review from Becky K

Property and landscaping are not well cared for. Dues continue to rise. It is difficult to get an actual accounting of spending when requested and spending is not always efficient. I think that the person responding for MSI on this website is a prime example of why people are providing 1 star reviews. I have pasted the MSI response to another reviewer below: (Unkind, and unprofessional but typical in my experience of how MSI consistently speaks to homeowners in our community and handles concerns). Read through how MSI responds to people and you will be able to decide how they run their business. MSI, LLC Response 11/13/2023 The correspondence we receive from you, with few exceptions,is profanity filled, suggests dangerous circumstances that do not exist, and lack the cohesive structure needed to allow your elected board or MSI to respond to you. We are at a loss for how to help you beyond suggesting appropriate counseling. -*******************, President.Review from Rochelle L

Be extremely careful hiring this management company and be even more cautious if u are a home owner and they are the management company. They ignore all attempts to rectify dangerous situations that are indeed their responsibility....read the rest of the reviews and decide for yourself.....the tides are turning and laws are being placed to protect home owners from direlect management companies such as this one. I filed a complaint with the States *************************** BBB, and our HOA. Turn and run away from this company as fast as you can.MSI, LLC Response

Supposedly they use approved companies to get the work on your HOA done. Their Landscaper has charged us over 10k for work not done. Our Property Manager is worthless, and ******************* keeps replying with excuses and lies!!!Do Not Hire MSI, they did a good job years ago, now they do minimal work, have let our property fall into EXTREME DISREPAIR!!!MSI, LLC Response

****, neither your HOAs elected board nor the majority of your community agree with your opinion, and repeating it on every social media and review outlet available does not make it any more truthful... -*******************, President.Review from Katelyn H

These are all the issues I've had with this property management group since I bought 2 years ago:1) My reserved parking spot is constantly parked in because it's next to the visitors parking spot. I don't care if they are other owners or people living with people in this area. IT'S MY SPOT!!!!!! I should be able to call towing on them and not have people park in my spot whenever they want and I just have to wait till they move. I literally own this townhome. 2) The tree being cut down: I put in a work order about the tree being cut and then when it actually came time to do it, nobody was notified and my entire patio was COVERED in wood chips and had to clean up everything from the removal. 3) The pool hasn't been open all year. Due to the amazing vendors we chose to work with. 4) The sprinkler system next to my house all of sudden stops working and the grass is dying. What happened to maintenance? Or do we just do things once they're broken?5) The gutter vendor put a physical gutter through the middle of my patio and I had to request for it to be moved, which they did, but again ZERO NOTICE ABOUT WHEN THEY WERE ARRIVING. Then got scared when my dog started barking like someone was in the house, but there was just people in my patio without my knowledge. Then had to listen to drilling for the next few hours while I was working from home. Then on top of it, the gutters don't even correctly drain water from the top of the townhomes and causes puddles of water to form at the foundation. 6) The mailboxes were broken into and I had to put in a work order to receive any information about it. So far, they are the exact opposite of who I would want maintaining a property. Go far away from anything with them.MSI, LLC Response

Many (most) of the issues you cite are actually with the board of your community, not MSI. As such, the board is preparing a direct reply to you as this appears to be identical (minus the profanity, thank you for that) to the post you made on the community portal. -*******************, President.Review from Nicole H

*** could not pay fees due to construction company for sub par work done on balconies, now my home is under the risk of having a lien placed on it. NOT AT ANY FAULT BY ME, the homeowner. I am simply the victim in all of this. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE management of money, and of managing the properties, and those who live in those properties. In my 8 years of living in my home, I have NEVER had any issues with the *** until MSI and new management took over. They are now overlooking the simplest of requests and telling us they are having financial hardship. Very disappointing to say the least.MSI, LLC Response

******, we are certainly sympathetic to your situation (shared by your whole community), but the issue predates our arrival as your management company, and relates to decisions made along the way by elected members of your HOA board (who make all the decisions). We are only the messenger for the messages you are receiving, we do not choose the directions being taken. I can understand lashing out at MSI since HOA does not have a BBB account, of course, but this review is misplaced and amounts to killing the messenger for that message. No matter the management company in place at this point, this issue does not look any different and the solution will require your board and your community working together regardless. When we have no choice but to suggest that the association is experiencing financial hardship and is unable to address certain issues as a result, that is truly the case, not an excuse. Funds are required to complete repairs, and if the association does not have those funds, maintenance and repairs cant always be completed. -*******************, President.
