I chose to use Ramos Law and signed an agreement with Ramos Law dated 12/13/2022. I provided all of the requested documentation including access to passwords for portals for the firm to obtain documentation. The last date of communication was 4/6/2023. I was informed that it will be a "little bit" as records were compiled and the case was filed. I have tried to obtain a response with an update, however, have had no success. There is a statue of limitation for filing.

Ramos Law scheduled a telephonic call with me today. I was told today that it's just not cost effective for them to continue with the case which I assumed would occur as a form of retaliation for submitting the complaint to the BBB. It's almost been a year since the agreement was signed and I am being today today it's just not a cost effective case.

I have dealt with Ramos law seven or eight times and the last time was horrific so I file a complaint on Yelp then I get an email from *************************** one of the managing Partners saying that he's going to withhold my money but I have three choices and one of them is to stop giving them bad reviews but they never offered me three choices on the other seven times I did business with him so it's purely retaliation and they're holding my money they're retelling against me and holding the money that they've already taken their share out and closed but they refuse to send me my money because I put a bad review on Yelp

************ we have tried to work through these issues but have had great difficulty and had to terminate our representation due to ongoing threats and harassment.  As you know, there was a short delay of a few weeks in sending you a small portion of your settlement due to an oversight in our office.  The amount was $1,300.  Instead of simply letting us know that you had not received your check, you went on Yelp and starting posting reviews that were largely untrue and attacked the law firm.  I personally reached out to you to discuss the issue and you refused to speak with me.  I emailed you and tried to help.  Instead, you posted more online reviews and again attacked the law firm and me personally.  I did ask that you consider taking down the reviews as they were largely untrue.  We also sent you the $1,300 via overnight mail.  You should receive that today.

When your attacks continued, I had an ethical obligation as an attorney to provide you with your options moving forward.  We had a fractured attorney-client relationship because every time I communicated with you via email to work through the issues, you would respond with another online review or an email attacking the law firm and me personally.  Still, we offered to work for you and let you know what your options were as follows:

      1.  You could resolve the last issue of your case - which was how much money had to be paid to your health insurance.  We were holding that small amount because you insisted that we distribute you funds that we could back in December.  We did that, and even discounted our attorney fees as a courtesy to you.  We were still working on resolving how much money had to be paid to your health insurance when you started attacking us online and via email.

      2.  We would finish the work ourselves.  We did ask that you stop attacking the firm in emails and online if we were going to continue our work.  It is very difficult to work for a client that is attacking you publicly, including calling us liars and cheats.

      3.  You could hire a new attorney.

You then called the office and were billigerent, hostile and threatening toward me.  You indicated you were going to post reviews about our firm repeatedly and you wouldn't stop until you had destroyed our law firm.  You then hung up on me.  At that point, we terminated you as a client and I again offered you your options, including having all funds deposited with the Court so you could be heard by a Judge.  From there, you started emailing various people in our organization threatening our firm and calling for my termination.

At this point there is very little more we can do.  I truly wish we could have worked through these issues peacefully and professionally.  I worked very hard to get your family funds before Christmas and our firm discounted your fees to help your family during holiday season.  I was understandbly shocked when you started attacking our law firm instead of just calling me when you did not receive the additional check of $1,300. I would have fixed it immediately.  At this point, I believe the best course of action would be for us to deposit all the funds with the Court.  This way, our firm, you and the health insurance company that is owed money can all be heard by an impartial judge and you can be assured that you are being treated fairly.  If you would like us to resolve the health insurance lien for you, and you can agree that you will refrain from any further attacks against me or the law firm while we are completing our work, that is something I would consider because we truly try to take great care of our clients.  I hope you can understand we cannot work for clients that attack us while we are doing our work.  There was no retaliation here *************  We were simply folllowing the ethical rules that govern our profession when addressing a client issue where the client is attacking us personally.  We follow those rules at all times.  In fact, one of the options was that you allow us to complete our work whereas I believe most law firms would have terminated you as a client from the moment of your first attack.

I have attached some of the online posts which contain many false statements.  We do not earn interest on money sitting in our Client Trust Account as the reviews claim.  The interest rules are governed by the state bar and attorneys do not earn interest on that money.  We also absolutely provided you with documentaton on your settlement funds.  You signed it and I have already provided you with a copy of that document.  We are not liars or cheats as you falsely claim.  I hope we can agree that attorneys will struggle to represent any client that attacks them online or via email in the manner you have.  That is just not a healthy attorney client relationship.

I truly regret this has happened.  I believe this could be an easy problem to work through with courteous communication.  This law firm will not work for any client that threatens any member of this firm.  If you would like us to complete our work and can agree you will no longer attack the firm or me either online, via email or on the phone while we complete our work, I will consider it.  You can email me at ****************************** if you would like to pursue that option but to be clear, I will only communicate with you and complete the work if we can agree communications will be professional, respectful and cordial.  We will not refund our attorney fees.  We worked hard for you, earned our fee and have already discounted it as a courtesy.

      Sincerely,

      ***************************

I am rejecting this response because:here is his email he sent to me stating he was going to hold my money unless I did the work already paid to them.He also illegally withheld funds not related to this case.I would like a public apology on Yelp for the world to see.I want the world to see ***** admit to his several mistakes and apologize to me.The Yelp reviews will continue as well as any other website for reviews until this is done.if the company truly cares about doing the right thing then this will happen.I have the right to post my horrific experience with Ramos over and over and over and over if I choose to.

      Sincerely,
