On 11/11/2022 I registered to attend the MJBiz Conference in *********, ******. I paid $359.10 to attend the *************** on Thursday, the 17th and Friday, the 18th.I drove to ********* on Monday. When I arrived, my brother informed me that I had a family emergency with my older sister. I booked a flight out of *********, ** for 7:00 am on Thursday to plan for this event.Thus I was not able to attend the Expo conference.I emailed **************** on Tuesday, the 15th of November requesting a refund with copy of airplane ticket.I have since called to follow up on 12/21/ 2022, 1/31/2023, and 2/15/2023.The last time ******** said that I needed a letter from my Sisters Physician or that they would not refund me.Please help.******************* *************************** ************ Cell Phone **************Business response

Attached is a copy of **************** registration confirmation which states our cancellation policy. Please see the highlighted section stating that refunds within 30 days of the show will only be provided under specific circumstances, including documented bereavement or medical leave. Unfortunately, a copy of an airline ticket is not sufficient documentation to support either a bereavement or medical reason. **************** let **************** know that if documentation was received, a refund would be processed less a $25 processing fee. No further documentation was submitted.
Also, **************** ticket did entitle him to access to the Expo Hall from Wednesday, November 15 through Friday, November 18. It did not permit him access to our General Session or content, but the Expo Hall was open on Wednesday, and we noted the dates the Expo Hall was open several times in the confirmation email.
In the interest of serving the customer, we will provide **************** with a complimentary Expo Only ticket to MJBizCon 2023 taking place November 29-December 1 at the ***************************. Registration for the event will open in mid-May. If **************** would like to accept this offer, he can reach out to me directly at ********************* and I will provide him with a promotion code to register for a complimentary ticket.
If this is unacceptable and **************** wants a refund, we will require documentation in accordance with our published cancellation policy.

I am rejecting this response because:*********************,
You stated that my ticket would allow access to Wednesday's Expo Hall.
I have attached the Registration from that states in the middle of the first page that, "This registration type, Expo Only, does NOT include access to the General Session on Wednesday, November 16th or our exclusive lineup of sessions and content at MJBizCon."
I checked before the event started and was informed by the registration desk that my ticket registration did not include Wednesday's Expo event.
I had to fly out on Thursday, November 17th, at 7:00 am.
I can't imagine thet MJBizCon is this hard up for money that they are making it so hard to get a refund.
Are they just a profit center for this venue and don't care about the attendees?
It will cost me much more to go to ***** to visit my sister to get the medical documentation that they require than the actual refund.
Also, a $25 processing fee for a refund? Add that to the Profit Center's bottom line.
I am very frustrated and disillusioned with the quality of MJBIzCon's **************** and policies.
