There isn't enough characters to tell everything wrong with these houses, I call them the duct tape bubble gum houses because that's how they are constructed. Run as fast as you can from these houses unless you are looking to spend just as much as you paid for it in fixing it correctly. Not sure who they hire but don't be surprised when your sod dies and you find all the trash, rocks, left over concrete, and construction materials right under the surface of the sod. They bury everything! So many cut corners, how did they get the permits for occupancy? some cut corners are dangerous! My house has a garbage disposal, and a switch to turn it on, but they never connected it to the switch they just left it unplugged under the sink. the switch does nothing. Oh and an electrical plug under the sink right behind the water lines, told it was legal to do that if there was a GFCI plug in the room. There isn't a GFCI plug in the whole downstairs, never checked if they had any upstairs because it wouldn't matter at this point. The master bedroom bathroom has a shower unit with a sliding door, shocked mine got a door, but they didn't attach it correctly they just put some silicone caulking around it, and it's not sealed to the bottom of the shower threshold. A few of the neighbors never even got the doors and there's no place to put a shower curtain. If you get the house with the French doors make sure they put them on the right way, heard a neighbor had them and they put the hinges on the outside and didn't frame it correctly every time it rains the water come right in around the doors.Review from Pamela P

DONT buy from these people. They take no pride in their workmanship and use shoddy materials and untrained help. My drive way split in half, my lights wouldn't work in the kitchen because someone drywalled over the socket. A hole in the closet door was patched and I had to demand a replacement door. They had to cut out 14 ** holes in one livingroom wall looking for a wire with a nail.in it. I wanted it completely redrywalled but they just patched back together. I had to put my own shelves up in the cabinets, some cabinet doors were uneven. A hole was left in the ceiling after a light was hung. I would NEVER purchase another home from them.Review from Robert G

I am currently going through the buying process and I am shocked. They have used threats and scare tactics multiple times to get me to sign things I didn't understand. This is suppose to be a positive and exciting experience. The impression I am getting from this builder is they prey on 1st time home buyers and less educated people. They will attempt to keep your ******* money at all costs. STAY far away. With all the amazing builders in the valley you don't need to do business with this company. You can do better. Learn from my experience as I I'm probably facing a legal battle to get my ******* money back from these scammers. RUN RUN RUN RUN far away.Review from Dallas W

Be aware do not do business with them. Ive had multiple issues and they will do anything to not fix it unless you have concrete proof. Im dealing with a structural issue and they think they can just put a patch on. It has been an awful experience to get this work done. And I hate that this one issue has personally ruined my opinion on this company and this home. Ive offered to to pay and upgrade my floors myself when they do the repair and they still wont let me upgrade my floors. Even with the inconvenience they are unwilling to work with me to come to a happy resolution.Review from Hope H

Once you buy your home they never respond regarding warranty issues. Different people tell you different things and nothing changes. They build quick and move on to the next house with out regard how the homes they have already build are being effected especially flooding caused by improper run off due to how additional home are built and the land is not properly set up to avoid flooding homes below. Damaged siding takes a year to be replaced, drywall cracks, nail pops, unfinished doors/frames, foundation cracks, sink holes, plumbing issues, AC/Heater issues, standing water issues... the list goes on and on and they DO NOTHING.Review from Cashe P

Tried to buy a home from Century and they broke their word and ethics during the deal. It is crazy to me this is a national company with how criminal the people running it. Simple version of what happened we tried purchasing a home with the price they put out at $500,000. While waiting to get approved for the loan they said they had another offer and took the contract away and said they would give it back for $509,000, very unethical but wanting the house badly we agreed. When we got the contract again we had our approved financing but the new contract was horrendously one sided. If we didnt close in 14 days they were going to add another $20,000 to the price. Simply put a $500,000 house turned into $529,000 with even more fees and contract had no obligation for century homes to even finish the house. Disgusting. Its been 30 days and the house is still on the market now for $520,000 price.Review from Brittany W

WARNING: Buy at your own risk. Popcorn construction homes (money driven homes built fast with lack of thoroughness and poor quality areas). I bought my new construction home from this company in ******** 2021. Upon move in /closing day, the builder had a list of unfinished items to complete prior to closing which was less than a day away. Upon move in and walk through, there were still minor repairs and unfinished items appeared to be completed hastily and not thoroughly. Less than year in, I began having minor issues here and there and utilizing the so called "warranty" that this company offers. The service requests took way longer than usual to address until another problem occurred. Eventually, the year warranty was up and still left with issues that the company is no longer willing to address since their "warranty" has expired in the company's words. This company is quick to take money but slow to address their ethics and construction builder's quality of work. ******** recently encountered severe storms/tornados and my home was affected by the storm. Water was leaking from laundry room ceiling to dining room ceiling. ************** inspector comes out and assess my home to only find out the water leaking is due to installation issue from the builders! According to the adjuster, the builders failed to tar the pipe and secure the nails of the pipe on my roof. Additionally, loose shingle placed on the roof that didn't match the others. Now I have out of pocket repair costs for a home less than 2 years old. Warning to all to save money to build your own home with trusted contractors to get the quality home you desire.Review from Mackenzie G

This company has been an absolute JOKE to work with. **** I have had 3 different contacts, 2 different "heads" of departments, that all either quit or were let go. We moved in December of 2022, and the builder had a list of items "to be done or to be fixed. We have had 2 different people come out and "look at the problems" which BOTH times has turned into a "promise this will get taken care of" to no avail. Multiple unread messages from our latest point of contact. And the worst part is these guys are building a house about 7 houses down. Good thing they can build a new house while ignoring there houses that were already built. We are first time homebuyers and this company has made us wish we never bought a house. All I want is a fix. Apparently that's not possible, can't wait till our "year ***** where our warranty (which apparently doesn't actually exist) expires and they can say that they are not responsible for these problems.Do yourself a favor, if these houses seem like a good deal and are in budget, Do your research and don't let them talk you out of a inspection, and do NOT sign until things are fixed. We will be doing a inspection and handing over a list for our one year warranty. I can't believe that I cant be proud of a new home that I worked my tail off for the last 10 years for, and I can't believe that a company can be so easy to disregard people that trusted them.Review from Debra N

AL. ***** we waited a year for this house to be built. We finally moved in. That's when the nightmares began. First, the keys that were given to us would not fit in any of the exterior door locks. ***** notifying the company, it took three weeks for them to send a tech out to change the locks. Our entry doors stayed unlocked for three weeks, while we were at work. The techs change only two locks, the other lock still has not changed. Almost, twelve months now since we lived here. The cabinets in the kitchen were halfway over the kitchen sink. We took the cabinet down from the wall and replaced it in the rightful place. Mold developed in the house. I was exposed and rushed to the hospital where I received treatment and was put on medication due to exposure to mold. The complete first floor had to be replaced. the entire second-floor carpet padding had to be replaced. Nails are popping through the walls. the nails that are in the stairs case, stick my kids they would have bloodied toes. Because the air quality is so bad I slept in my car for several weeks. Thousands of tiny files come through the unsealed windows. Thousands of dollars of food were wasted due to the infestation of files that swarm the house. We put warranty claims in months and months just to have the bare minimum done. Thirty major things need to be done and they won't come out to do them. I am on medication due to the poor workmanship of this home.
