Bought a car from Carvilles a yr ago and they sold me a car that was in a worse accident than reported. Carvilles should have done a overlook of my vehicle before selling it to me! I'm now responsible for fixing my whole front end due to an accident I didn't do. Several mechanics have quit recently due to them undercutting their work. Would never recommend this business to anyone!!Review from Rosa S

I went to purchase a car from Carvilles auto car dealer in ************** (Dec. 02,2023) and 3-4 days later my check engine turns on. I contacted the dealer ship right away and was told that they can get my car looked at Jan 2nd **** just to diagnose it. I expressed that i cannot be driving a car with a check engine light on for another month and they suggested that i take it to an autozone store to get them to diagnose the issue. Once i did that i inform the car sales person and sent him that information just to be told that by law they have to diagnose it. So he advice me now to take it to one of their outside auto shop to get it diagnosed and all THEY did was clear the codes and told me that if anything comes up again i have to go through the car dealer (Carvilles Auto Dealer ship). Once i contacted them and told the car sales person what i was told he had me bring in the car that day and was told they clear it out and if i have any future issues to contact them. The main issue still has not been taken care of and they just keep giving me the run around. I even asked to speak with a higher person in the office and was told he would call me back and once again i never got a call back. I am very frustrated at this point. seems like they don't want to fix this issue at all.Carville's Auto Mart, Inc. Response

Hey ****. This is our first time hearing about a check engine light on your car. We cannot speak for 3rd party service departments but, we appreciate your feedback and we apologize that you feel like you have been given the run around. I've spoken with your sales person and he filled me in a bit and it does sound like we have you scheduled up to get you all taken care of. Did a fantastic job getting me into a new vehicle. Worked with Arb C******, he got me exactly what I wanted at an even better price! Extremely disappointed in this dealership. They asked so many lenders with my information that it decreased my credit score by 50 points - which is absolutely unacceptable.They did a hard pull of my brother in laws credit as well, when they said they would not.Wasted 4 hours of my time, on 3 different days. At first they offered me $461 for a monthly payment, which I completely walked away from. They told me it'd be less if I had a down payment. So after a few days I went back and offered **** as a down payment. They offered $461 AGAIN, while making me wait an hour for this information.The salesman I was working with knew I wouldn't accept an identical offer, because I told him this- so when his manager came & tried to 'persuade' me into what they wanted, it put a REALLY bad taste in my mouth.Lack if respect.Lack of couth.If you do shop here, DO NOT ACCEPT THEIR FIRST OFFER EVER! - they 100% do better if you stand your ground.I said no twice and had to be extra assertive before then they brought out 4 different payment options that they "could actually offer me".Don't forget - gap insurance in coverage you can obtain from your insurance. They'll try to scare you into it and tell you how much you desperately need it, but check with your insurance agent.If you up your personal insurance coverage, you DON'T NEED the dealerships insurance. When I looked at the manager and said 'absolutely not' - in ***************** even asked if I wanted to take it home over the weekend to think about it.He was surprised when I said straight up NO! ????I respect ***** - the salesman who knew I was intelligent & that he could not and would not try to get me to accept something he knew I didn't want. The manager's though - do better. Just do better.Your arrogance is shining through.I will NEVER go there again, will NEVER recommend your ************ hope you (Carvilles) starts acting with more *************************Carville's Auto Mart, Inc. 5 months ago we bought a 2017 ***** civic from carvilles. Within the first week ALL the engine lights came on. 9 total. We took it into their service department and they couldn't fix it. We took it to another local mechanic they had it for over a month and couldn't fix it. We took it to the ***** service department and they are saying over $1500 to possibly fix it but no guarantees. We have called carvilles twice to talk to someone with no response.Carville's Auto Mart, Inc. Response

I agree to have check engine light looked at in our service department. We have a great technician in our shop now that is as good as any tech out there. Call our service department and ask for Cassy and she can get an appointment scheduled. ************.Review from Nicholle M

I chose Carvilles auto to start the search of owning a suv. I was originally told that I would qualify for a 11k . So I began my ****. Every vehicle I came across had major issues, ranging from electrical to mechanical. I began to quickly increase the amount I had down for something reliable for my son and I. I had went from a budget from 13k to quickly arise to 23k to find something decent. I found one I fell in love with. When I pulled the dipstick it was full of metal shavings every time I inspected it. Most of the car faxes dont even show a service being done before hitting the lot. Financed a vehicle thru carvilles and it needed maintained within a few days. Within a month it was maintained a couple times at the shop of ********** choice. ********** would not maintain the vehicle at their shop at all at the dealership site. I took the vehicle back to the shop several times and they kept telling me their was nothing wrong with the vehicle. When the warranty ran out the shop finally told me I needed a new engine and I would have to pay out of pocket for the new engine plus labor costs. I called carvilles auto mart several times and left several messages for the manager **** to return my calls in which he has not returned to this day.Carville's Auto Mart, Inc. Response

********** appreciates ******* as a customer. ********** sent ********* car to Schrums Automotive to have it diagnosed last year. Schrums Automotive could not find anything wrong with it. ******* bought the car September 25th of last year. She bought a ***** mile warranty. She has driven it over ***** miles if the shop declined the warranty work on it. We wish we could get coverage longer than ***** miles on a vehicle with ****** miles but that's the *** miles the warranty can cover.
