On Nov 29th at 0900 we dropped our bus/RV off at Transwest TRUCK side for an oil change and differential change including checking for leaks/issues underneath since it's the first time for the bus at a shop. We discussed the correct oil in the morning and were told they would be willing to do a proper oil change on an older bus like this and would go through an extensive 35 item checklist to get the green light for a healthy checkup. After taking much longer than told 1930 rolled around and we got our bus back. The desk guy didn't know anything about how the checkup went but said the techs didn't leave any notes. After a week and double checking with several other bus mechanics I was informed they put the wrong oil in. 15-w40 is fine for newer diesels but not our older one which shouldn't have a multi-viscosity oil. The checklist clearly should've covered some of the leaking issues that persist. The power steering components and the wheel hub seals are visibly leaking, I asked that morning for Transwest to check them specifically and either replace or identify the right parts. Oil change and Differential change were the only things HOPEFULLY completed. Since then we've been to another bus shop which was very thorough and identified some issues Transwest clearly ignored. Communicated with them through the day via email to make sure our concerns would be addressed. Disappointed in the service there, had they been upfront about the ability to service and older bus we would've looked elsewhere. Have to shell out for another oil change with the proper oil.Business response

I purchased a new 2020 ***** with a ******** ******** Van 2500 (2019) and since I have owned the vehicle it has had 45+ safety recalls and has been towed 4 times to the dealer. Last summer the transmission went out when it was still under warranty and they couldn't figure out the problem and would not release the vehicle to me for over 3.5 weeks due to safety concerns. I have been without the use of this vehicle for over a month and I believe it qualifies under the Colorado Lemon Laws. It has been towed to Littleton ******** on several occasions and the ******** ******** Service Manager believes this is a lemon vehicle and has more issues than the any other or majority of ******** vans they service. Transwest offered to buy it back from me at a price well below the amount of money I still owe in financing the vehicle. Right now, the cruise control is once again not working and has not worked since I purchased the vehicle. We have contacted ******** corporate on many occasions and even retained an attorney to attempt to get resolution. ******** nor Transwest has offered any feasible solutions to this ******** van's mechanical issues and this van qualifies as a lemon under Colorado laws.
