8/20/22 toured the property -Between 8/22/22 and 8/23/22 - Began filling out necessary paperwork (that no move in dates or room # was listed) I was told numerous times that completing the paperwork would be the only way to get her assigned to her room and that the sooner the better because the rooms are going by the minute. 8/24 I called to check on how we gain entry keys etc. I was told that my daughter was still on a waiting list. This was a shock to me since the sales staff told me numerous times that by completing the paperwork this would assure her room. 8/25 I called UC a 2nd time to advise them that since she was still on a waitlist I no longer want to move forward. The individual on the phone repeated what I said and the property manager ******* in the background yelled out well she can't because she already signed the lease. 8/26/22 I called UC back & went over the ****************** was extremely flippant and stated well the contract is signed you can mess up your credit if you want too. She then went on to say that I could have what she called an "out" by completing a transfer lease. Which will transfer my daughter's current lease over to another waitlisted party for the fee of $300.00. 8/26/22 An email was sent by UC for a pet screening. I choose to ignore this since I just explained the same day that my daughter was not residing here & the management ******* was made aware of this. 9/27/22 Receive an email from UC Yugo titled a rent reminder. This now prompts me to place a call. I 1st spoke to ***** who stated that my total was $2,992.43 I asked what that entailed and she stated rent for Sept, Oct and the $300.00 transfer fee I explained again that my daughter never moved into this complex and asked how I can be over & done with this company. University Club and its agents never made the apartment available, and are demanding payment. This constitutes fraud.Customer response
