On January 18, 2022 I visited ********************************** located at ************************************************************************. Before my visit ******* did a verification on my insurance and in fact would not even allow me to complete the intake paperwork before they verified my insurance. Once verified I was allowed to complete my intake information online. When I arrived for my visit I was charged my copay of $40.00 as expected. After the visit and before I left I was told that I had 60 available visits, each at the $40.00 copay. A few days after my visit I received a **** in the mail. I found this odd as I knew that Fyzical had verified my insurance and I had paid when I was at the office. I was not told that there would be any additional charges after I paid or when leaving. I called the office and they researched it and finally responded about a week later, I was told that they were not in network with my insurance company? Odd since they wouldn't even let me fill out the intake paperwork until that was verified. I was told that they send out the verifications to a third party company. I agreed to pay a reduced **** and that I would need the information of the third party that made the error so that I could get my money back from them. It appears that this third party doesn't really exist as Fyzical was reluctant and finally refused to give me any information regarding what I believe is a fictitious company. They were very insistent that even though the mistake was on their end that I pay them. I expressed my opinion that since this was their contractor and I would have no way to recover my money due to their mistake that they should zero out the balance. They agreed that it was their mistake but I would still have to pay. Rather than chance getting a ding to my credit I paid them and am bringing this to the attention of the BBB.
