In August of 2021 the company Cocovela Painting was hired to do the interior painting of the upper two levels of my home at **************************************************************************. On August 26th the Company was paid $8,800 for the job. Later I noticed some sheen discrepancies on a few walls and I contacted the company and the owner Carlo made an offer for me to buy the paint and he would supply the labor to fix the problem areas. Those areas were fixed and I thought all was resolved. Then in the past 6 weeks a lighting contractor pointed out to me that on a large wall above my kitchen there was a very big noticeable sheen discrepancy that needed to be fixed. (I has a serious accident where I broke 3 broken bones in my right leg and was in a wheelchair for 5 months so some of these things would not be seen from the upper level of my home due to being wheelchair bound.) I am listing my home for sale in 2 weeks and this wall sheen issue above my kitchen will be seen by potential buyers and might affect the sale of my home. I emailed the company repeatedly on 3 of their email addresses but they ignored me. I would like the company to supply the paint and labor to repaint this wall (vaulted ) above my kitchen in the original color ***** ****. The company also neglected to paint the ceiling in my daughters bathroom but was over looked again because I don't shower in their bathroom and then my accident confined me to the lower level so it was not noticed prior. I just hired a handyman this week to paint the that celling at $150. I want to be reimbursed in full for that handyman charge by Cocovela. I want Cocovela to urgently ASAP come out to my home and paint this valted wall above/next to ceiling to the original color to fix the sheen issues, the paint and labor at their expense before my home is listed for sale on May 20th.Business response

Cocovela Painting does not offer guarantees on interior projects, but we made an exception with Mrs. ****** and the crew came back 2 more times. In Cocovela painting contracts, it is stipulated that payment will be made until the client is 100% satisfied. If she was not satisfied with the work that was done, she had every right not to pay until she was satisfied. but she paid Cocovela painting because the job was well done. I am very sorry for the accident she had, but in reality that has nothing to do with the work that was done for her. As I repeat, Cocovela Painting does not offer guarantees on interior projects, and if she wants to repaint her house because she is going to sell it, she has to pay again Cocovela Painting or the company she wants.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
I did not respond to the initial response from the company because they just stated that they were reaching out to me, which they did not do right away, and when they did, they did not respond to any of my questions. Now, I believe as a result of this complaint, they are saying that I am not done with the process and I need to get another inspection done on my property. I was told several months ago that I was finally done with the process and now it feels like they are trying to make the process even worse with another building inspection after I have had several. If the work doesn't pass inspection, then I am in a huge predicament. They keep dodging the questions from my complaint as far as compensation for the damages caused, the permits I didn't need, and the loan payments they agreed to make. They continue to play games and I cannot get a straight answer from anyone in the company about what is actually going on with my situation and account. Please let me know if you need additional information, I really need assistance with this, thank you.
